I brought my car in for some major fluid replacement. Hank spent time explaining to me how the process is like. He also listened to my concerns and resolved them without any additional cost.I highly recommend their service to whoever is looking for an honest repair shop at affordable price.I will definitely bring my car in for the next oil change.

My family has been coming to Hank Auto Repair for well over a decade and I can't say enough good things about him and his team, especially Tho. They consistently go above and beyond for their customers, honestly assessing each vehicle's issues and offering high quality repairs at extremely reasonable prices. Not to mention the work they do is fast and thorough. Do yourself a favor and give Hank Auto Repair a try!

How is this place 5 stars? They're over charging customers, giving you false information and making redundant replacements.I brought in my car with nearly brand new trans, break fluid (checked the color multiple times) an engine air filter with 80% life left, and good break-pads. They spent 3 hours on the car and concluded I needed to replace these 4 items, plus other things and quoted me $800.I've worked on cars before and understood when a car part goes bad and how to diagnose them. These people are just trying to make quick bucks and have little idea what they are taking about.Unethical business.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Auto engine diagnostic

I ve been going to Hank Auto Repair for almost 5 years and find their service worth driving in an hour for (I ve moved since initially finding them)! The staff is friendly, their schedule is very accommodating, the prices are fair, and I ve never felt upsold or ripped off. I definitely recommend Hank s.

I have been going to Hanks for 15 years since I ve moved back to Bay Area. My cleaning woman highly recommended him to me many years ago and I have been going him him loyally. I m not very trusting of repair people, cars, appliances etc ..but I really trust Hank. One example: I had owned a Prius that were serviced by dealer for long time. They kept saying I need this and that. Once her got certified to do my Prius, I ask him about a service my dealer said I needed. He looked at it and said it still had time and it s been 5 years I ve not needed that replaced .he is very honest. And cost a third of dealers services that was verified he charged me a third of what one dealer wanted for my Honda. I send all of my friends to him and he services all of our cars.

I have been taking both my cars to Hank Auto for the last 10 years. Friendly team, ever smiling. Their services are reasonably priced. They have been extremely transparent with me about the cost of materials and their service charges.Last month, I ended up with a flat tires while driving through some rough weather. I tried replacing the tire at home and ended up shearing the lug bolt. Fearing a big bill, I took the car to Hank Auto. They replaced all 20 lug bolts and fixed the flat at no charge since I am a regular customer.They've won my business for life.

I visited this repair center to get my van noise fixed. Previously two repair shops were unable to find the right root cause of the issue and also given large estimate. Then I visited Hank auto repair with a friend reference. I would like to share two things that I am very satisfied.Firstly, I was so impressed by the confidence of the technician. He just drove for the van for a few minutes and then he was sure where the issue is.Secondly, they fixed my van noise issue perfectly and it is running so smooth like a brand new van.They were also so reasonable in terms of the repair charges, it's very good value for your hard earned money.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I approached Hank for a battery and alternator replacement since the shop has such high ratings.. to find the ratings are completely justified. He asked me how long I'd owned the car and expressed surprise that my alternator failed so soon. Asked me how I knew / who told me it was broken. I previously got them tested at a couple of chain mechanic shops and my alternator failed both tests. He then proceeded to test the battery and alternator again TWICE just to ensure I wasn't paying for a service I did not actually need. He was upfront about the price of parts, labor and time it would take and delivered. 10/10 would use Hank Auto Repair again!

Hank is amazing! I ended up at this shop by accident (I visited another shop in the same lot), and I'm so glad I did! Hank gave me an honest estimate for a new thermostat (priced well below other outrageous estimates), in comparison to the shop next-door who recommended I replace my engine without inspecting my vehicle. Hank was able to squeeze me in that same day and returned my car in 4 hours flat. He walked me through the service and treated me with the same respect and attention as he was his male customers. As a female who knows little about vehicles, this was an amazing and comfortable experience. Hank provided a smooth, painless, and honest service. I will certainly be going back to him for routine maintenance and anything else that may come up.

As a single young woman I am always nervous going to get my car repaired because I m often taken advantage of. I had no concerns about him adding on services I didn t need or jacking up the price. He was upfront and honest. Much appreciated! Can t say enough good things about Hank and his shop!

I highly recommend Hank Auto Repair. Hank and his team are knowledgeable, honest and efficient and this is the only place I trust to service my truck. Last week my 99 4Runner was suddenly running rough upon start up and the check engine light started flashing. I used Fixd to scan for codes and got p0306 and p0305, misfire detected at cylinders 6 & 5. I was worried it could be a blown head gasket or cracked exhaust valve or something too expensive that would leave me ubering. Hank inspected and diagnosed: one of my ignition wires was torn. He replaced the ignition wire set and problem solved! I was also due for a few things (oil change and spark plugs) so we took care of that too and I had my truck the same afternoon. My husband and I have brought all of our trucks here the past 15-20 years and are grateful to him.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

New to the bay area, and as a female I felt very uneasy about finding a new mechanic that I could trust. After reading reviews I decided on Hanks Auto Repair, and I am so glad I did. I just left this place for a safety inspection Turo the car rental company has me complete every 3 months. The list is very specific only answer questions on the list and this mechanic decided to add his own questions on pass or fail to my list. When I confronted him about it he wouldn t adjust the list or refund my money. He was literally trying to scam me out of repairs my car didn t even need. I was there for a safety inspection! If you are looking for value for the money, this is the place. Consistently good work, and very reasonable pricing. The first time I went, Hank thought he knew what the problem was and had a spare part handy from his own car. Within 10 minutes he had used the part to confirm his diagnosis. No charge for finding the problem - just had me come back the next day for the repair, which was much cheaper than I thought it would be.

Hank always provides me very quick service at a very reasonable rate. You just make an appointment and show up, the team at Hank will do the rest. Also they are very polite and listen to you thoroughly.Update- same standard of service and quick turn around.

Hank and Tho are the best mechanics I've ever had in 30 years. They know their stuff and are incredibly hard working and honest. Tho has gone way out of his way a number of times to help me out of a tight spot (e.g. urgent repair before vacation). I've been takening my Mustang to Hank's for over a decade and his service is excellent. He is always available when it is convenient for me, does the work quickly and I've never had to come back after taking it there. My husband's Mazda is no longer covered by the dealer and guess where he will be taking it now... Hank's! I'm sure he will be as happy as I've been.

Hanks is the best! I've been going here for a long time. They always recognize me when I visit. They're fast, trustworthy, and they work really hard. I used to live close by in Sunnyvale, but I still go here even though I live farther away now. Whenever I've had work done, their final price ended up being lower than their original estimate. They're amazing!!

Best mechanic I have ever dealt with. I've taken my old Jeep in for Hank and his team to check out multiple times and he's always been honest and given me a fast turn around. I left my car with him for 4 days once, he wasn't able to replicate the problem, and he didn't even charge me for his time!Super flexible, knowledgable, honest, and reliable.

I've had services done here for my Toyota Camry and an old Mercedes E320 and have been very pleased with their work. On a recent job for valve cover gaskets on the Mercedes, their original quote was lower than other shops, but then they said that a couple hoses normally replaced for the job looked fine, so the final price ended up even lower by over a hundred. Honest and competent shop. Highly recommend.

Very quick, efficient and affordable. I was able to get an appointment on a Saturday morning and my oil change was done within 30 minutes! $45 for oil filter change and fluids topped off. Beats commerical companies prices.

Going into this transaction I had low hopes for my 2003 Oldsmobile Alero that had already gotten turned down by another local mechanic due to rusted parts making it a risky and complicated job. Not only did Hank's take my project on, but they were able to give an honest estimate, fix it within one afternoon, and turn it back to me with a bonus needed oil change. I was extra pleased that they also detailed to me what problems that might delay the fix due to rusted parts that could have potentially broken while fixing (but their mastery must have avoided this hence the quick turnaround). I have recently moved, and this will be my go to garage from now on.
