Went in today for a Smog check. Joe was very helpful and gave me a few tips. In and out in 20 minutes. Very reasonable price, (65.00) out the door. My car passed, so I'm good for the next 2 years!Thank you Joe for excellent service and your good advice!

Excellent smog shop. Keeps you informed and does his best to get your smog certificate quickly so you can be on your way.

This really is a no frills experience. It is 60 bucks (cash) and takes just 10 or 15 minutes. The owner is nice, but not necessarily a conversationalist. When your smog is finished, his computer system automatically sends the results to the State department of motor vehicles. And all you have to do is go back home and write a check to mail in with the stub that the state sent to you, and then you should be good to go. If you want a pro tip, if your car is not passing smog and you need to get something fixed, I really recommend that you take your car to get at least three quotes from repair garages. In my own experience I had two different repair shops offer dramatically different estimates, and the savings would be enough to take a vacation! If you need to get a smog on your vehicle, go here, because the owner doesn't have anything else to sell to you, so there is no time wasted with him trying to sell you stuff or services.

I went in for a follow smog test and they immediately identified a problem I needed to take care before testing. I appreciate they way went about it. Letting me figure out what my best options were moving forward. I m getting that minor issue fixed and then headed back for my test. These guys know what they re doing.

When my water pump on my 2012 Mustang died in the middle of Casa De Oro, I was looking for someplace -- anyplace to pull in quick. Pulling into Spring Valley Smog (right by Albertson's and Union Bank) was probably the most serendipitous thing that could have happened. The guys were busy with two other cars when I pulled up, and it was late on a Friday afternoon. I didn't expect them to give me the time of day, but the manager set down his tools, came out to look under my hood, and spotted the problem immediately -- a leaking water pump. I've had this problem before on other cars, and it is a real headache to work on. I was imagining close to $1000 bucks and a week's wait. They said they couldn't promise anything before Monday, but that if I left the car there they would work on it if they had a chance that day. My wife and I left the car there, and two hours later got a call that it would be ready in the morning. Wow! She runs great again, and all for just about $300 bucks. Thanks guys!

I was refered to this location by another smog check inspector. The process was farily short and my vehicle past.my only dissatisfaction was the lack of customer service by the owner and another worker who was present at the time. The inspector greeted me in a totaly filthy uniform by saying "what do you need?"he was not very customer friendly.the entire process was conducted as though he wished I was not there. the next worker arrived and did not bother to say one word to me even though we both made eye contact. the inspector did not even bother to place protective paper covers on the seats of my truck to guard against his filthy uniform.when he completed his task he did not close the hood of my truck.another worker who had just arrived attempted to close the hood. I will never take my vehicle there again.

Checked my car in to get a smog check, sat down to watch a YouTube video that was supposed to be 10 minutes. Before the ended, my car was done and passed. I was suprised it was soo fast.
