Buck is one of the best motorcycle true mechanics. When in for a tire and wheel change because the previous shop put it on backwards. Did with ease and within a timely matter (even though it was last minute). Had some laughs and talked. AWESOME guy and HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend for all your motorcycle needs. GREAT JOB BUCK!!!!!!PS. I wish I can comment on all the negative reviews. Some are hilariousServices: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Brake service & repair

Buck is amazing, super personable and will not only tell you what is wrong but will walk you through how he fixed it. He definitely has a passion. Not to mention his prices are more than reasonable.

Brought my 2018 Kawasaki z650 in for a few things:Front tire replacementRear brakes replacementWiring issuesCheck engine lightOil changeNew chainI came into the shop and he said he was super busy that day so I'd probably have to come back next day. He ended up finishing all the work within a couple of hours instead. Buck ended up getting the tire for me because he didn't have it in stock. He replaced my rear brakes. He fixed the wiring and check engine light for free. He changed my oil. And he restored my chain to pretty much brand new without replacing it. I came expecting to pay close to $1000 and I'll just tell you it was less than half that! This guy knows what he's doing.

Buck has been taking care of my CBR for 10 years. He s kept it running even better than new, with a few upgrades along the way. I commute regularly in traffic, so I feel I m putting my life in his hands.

Went by for a simple fix on my bike and was told that he didn t have any time to work on my bike all week. Instead of trying to coordinate a time that would work with both of us, he wasn t even interested in helping out and was rude about it. It s a shame because this location is super close to my house and if he would have been kind and helpful today, I would have been able to give him a lot more business moving forward in the future.

EDIT: SEE MY INITIAL REVIEW (5 STARS) AT THE ENDI brought my bike in because it was having trouble starting. Buck did a quick diagnosis but said he couldn't get to it for at least 3 weeks, so I bought the recommended parts and took it to another shop who did the work immediately.A few weeks later my battery died, so I bought a new one and installed it myself. I replaced the AGM type battery with the same type, and then noticed that the charger/tender that Buck sold me was intended only for lead/acid batteries. Using that tender almost daily literally killed my battery. He knew what type of battery I had (because he installed the connector for the charger) but sold me the wrong item anyway. Because of these two incidents, my business will go elsewhere from now on.[Buck is now the ONLY mechanic I allow to touch my bike. He understands the classic value of my 1984 Honda and treats it with the respect it deserves. His pricing is fair, his work is top-notch, and he is HONEST.]Services: Tires, Battery, Oil change

Buck is AMAZING! I was in a time crunch to get my rear dirt bike tire fixed and have a new tire installed. I dropped off the tire at 11am and he finished it within 30 minutes. I ve been riding dirt bikes for some time now and I ve never had service done this quick on a tire. If you re looking for last minute service Buck is the guy to go to!Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair

Buck is a great guy and a great mechanic. I had a bit of an odd problem with my bike, but he took the time to figure it out. He's persistent and charges pretty reasonably too.

This is a really great shop; Buck is super knowledgeable and honest.I had an odd noise occurring at certain engine speeds, and took my bike in not knowing what was wrong or how much it would cost to fix. It ended up being a minor issue; Buck fixed it quickly, easily and free of charge. He could have told me it was something expensive and I wouldn't have known better, but he was totally honest and straightforward.I took my bike to Buck on the recommendation of an acquaintance who had similar things to say. I will absolutely be back here when my bike needs something, and strongly recommend the place.

Very good pricing, Buck is very friendly and knowledgeable, and he avoids recommending unnecessary repairs. Better to take your motorcycle here than spend much more taking it to a dealership, especially if your bike is older, like mine. Will definitely be returning again.

Buck is the best. Quick! Reliable! As a female rider I truly appreciated his rapid service. I called him Thursday with details on what was happening to my motorcycle (it was at a repair shop, they hadn t given me a diagnostic or a quote for 2 weeks) he told me bring it in, I ll have you riding in no time . Dropped it off late Friday he took a look at the damage and gave me a diagnostic & estimated quote. Saturday morning he calls me are you sitting down? I have news. YOUR BOY IS READY! Less than 24 hrs he had me riding out of there completely satisfied at the reasonable price but truly shocked and pleased at how quickly he worked. I would definitely recommend him to all my female rides this man knows exactly what he s doing. Thank you Buck ;)Service: Oil change

Buck is the best! He s my go to guy for my Vespa ET4. Super responsive by phone or text, can come to you if your bike won t work, and is incredibly flexible and helpful in tough spots. He let me borrow a battery charger while he ordered me some items and is helping me learn how to take care of my scooter more effectively. What else could I ask for?!

I came to Buck s shop a day after my motorcycle accident, my bike wasn t turning on and I had no clue why because the damages were only cosmetic and I had just bought it the day I crashed it. Even after telling him I would pay for whatever damages that occurred during the accident to get my bike back up and running, Buck being an honest man showed me that the reason the bike wouldn t start was due to my gear shifter being bent and he would help me for free. He could ve said something was bad with the engine or transmission due to me being inexperienced with bikes and I would ve believed him. Now I m having him totally customize my bike and he s even helping me order the right brands/parts. Please bring your business here Buck is an honest man trying to make a living, Buck is the last person to scam or lie to a customer for extra cash. Your business means much more to him.

Hands down a great experience heading down to this shop. Buck made it extremely easy to not only understand my bike much more but to be able to ask away.Other then that I have nothing bad to say about Robert's personality. Down to earth and honest.11/10 would visit again.

Buck is a great guy for a one man show. He's reasonable and works on a variety of motorcycles. I have yet to see him turn something down where there's no job too small or too big...I have personally taken him everything from a dirt bike to a Harley-Davidson and a 20 year old sport bike.

Buck is probobly the best mechanic I have ever met. He actually cares about the people he works with. And I do mean 'with'. He included me in every step he took with my bike. I am converting a Harley Sportster into a Bobber and Buck managed this project like a pro. Other mechanic's I've known pad there costs or charge crazy shop rates, but Buck actually told me to put my check book away. That we didnt need to spend money on things I thought we needed. He was right. Because of his honesty and professionalism I was able to spend less than half of what I had budgeted for the build. He has earned my respect and admiration. I will always bring my bikes to Buck and SoCal Motors. If you need work done, bring it here. You will be blown away.

BUYER BEWARE: I had buck work on my bmw, he gave me a business card that stated he specializes in foreign vehicles also, Buck said he had one and it s all he ever drives. He worked on the front end and replaced a couple of very important parts that had to do with the drive system of the vehicle, but In doing so my ABS light, and DSC light came on.I asked him about why they came on all of a sudden after he worked on my vehicle. He responded by telling me that s standard and always happens after any front end work, get an alignment it ll fix the lights got an alignment, lights went off, so far so good, a couple days later they pop back up.Now that I know more about cars I can say with 100 percent certainty that a highway collision I got into (after the fact, where I had my child in the car) was mostly because of his repair job. I really needed the dynamic stability control, and the anti lock braking system to be working. If it was working the collision might not have happened. My car had never hydroplaned before, I had the vehicle for 8 years. Thanks in part to him my car got totalled. My daughter and I could ve died. He doesn t seem to care that much about customers because he has better things to do. He is rude, twitchy, and has very shaky hands. Those three things don t give me much confidence in his abilities. You live, you learn. But thank god we didn t die or get seriously injured in the wreck.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I went here and met with Buck to help me install a fender eliminator on my R3... the shop is literally 2 blocks away from my house and he was able to get the job done at a fair price. I will come back to him for any other motorcycle repair needs.

Buck IS THE BEST! He helped me SO much with my bike! I had to fix the fork seals on my Suzuki SV650S. He gave me a great deal and fixed a couple of other minor things also. He works with your schedule to bring in your bike and a major + he does it all frm A-Z on all bikes! Can't beat that with a bat! Lol I'm also a new ridder and he gave me many tips that I've already used being out on the roads. If you need anything GO SEE BUCK!

This place was awesome. Tucked away in a nice little part of spring valley. I had called 10 different repair shops and ALL of them were @$$holes, arrogant and they sounded like i was inconveniencing them. I called these guys and they actually seemed like they wanted my business and were extremely nice to talk to. I went in, they did a full FREE inspection and cut no corners and were extremely honest. These guys know what they are doing. They have my business in the future. I will post again as i get more services done by them.

This very small repair shop is located in an industrial park and was not easy to see while riding through. When I found the shop all the doors were closed and my bike was the only one in the area so my first thought was that they were either closed for day or had gone out of business. A man saw me looking at the shop and came out to talk to me, and he was extremely rude to me. He made no effort to try to earn my business, he seemed happy to have me give upset and leave. There is no way that I'm going to be treated in that way and give them my money to do so. It is no wonder that he had no customers. ZERO stars if that was an option.

Buck is great! He is honest, reasonably priced, and looks to educate his customers rather than upsell. I would highly recommend his services to anyone.
