I have needed the services of South side auto body numerous times in the last 21 years for my Chevy Silverado. The first time was a few months after I purchased the vehicle in August of 2002, when it had only a few thousand miles on it. It got sandblasted in a severe windstorm, and they had to repaint it. This summer, I was rear ended by a semi in Colorado during a heavy rain storm. I was lucky enough to drive away with just fender, left rear tail light and left rear quarter panel damage. The frame wasn t bent and my insurance company was going to pay for the repairs. Of course I took the truck to South Side Auto Body. The shop is professional, the personnel are friendly and helpful, and overall for me, it s the only place in town to get work done, when you ve been unfortunate enough to either have been in an accident, or to have weather damage to your vehicle. Very impressed with South Side Auto Body. Someone crashed into my car. When I contacted South Side, they quickly booked me for an assessment and scheduled me for repairs 2 months out. Their customer service was fantastic. Very happy with the end result.

After my wife s vehicle of less than a year old, got hit by an uninsured driver we were less than stoked to go through the repair process. Luckily SS auto body were fantastic to work with. We had a hard deadline for work to be done and they worked overtime to meet that deadline. The repairs are indistinguishable from factory. In a place where good customer service can be hard to come by, they nailed it.

Perfect Score! They are all so professional, timely updates, very helpful and pleasant. Owner Ryan is hands on, sets the tone - Christina and Emma are super super helpful and on top of things. Got my car back beautifully cleaned inside and out, plus good work on the repair! Thank you all!

South Side did a wonderful job on my car repair. They were efficient, helpful and timely. I really appreciate the excellent service. They even washed and cleaned my car inside and out before I picked it up!

Emma and Christina are awesome! They call or text once a week to let me know status of my vehicle (it s a long repair process). And the guy that runs the shop (forgot his name) is trustworthy! I feel so good knowing my baby is in good hands!

Awesome experience at South Side Auto Body! Ryan was terrific from estimate to pick-up. South Side got me in sooner than expected and repaired my car for a very reasonable price in just a couple days. Upon pick-up, my car was washed, vacuumed, and cleaner than it had been in months. I have to say it was even better service than when I take my car to the Audi dealer, and they are pretty good service. Emma was friendly, helpful, and explained every detail. Thank you South Side. I have lived in South Lake Tahoe for 32 years and it's so hard to find people that you can trust to work on your car. This last winter felt like we were back in the 80s again with all the snow and it definitely did some damage to my car. When I picked it up it looked brand new again. I'm so happy with everything. During a winter storm, a tree limb fell and hit my parked vehicle causing major damage. The shop was fantastic. They did incredible body work, coordinated with the dealership for the engine work, communicated well with me and handed me back an SUV that looked like the damage never happened. They have a great reputation and now I see why.Service: Body & Trim

Southside auto is terrible with communication. They had my car for 2 months for damage, that in my opinion, wasn't 2 months severe. I understand that there can be issues getting parts in and out of the area for weather and all that, but it's ridiculous for y'all not to know anything for such a long amount of time. ANNND when I got my car back the door handle to the driver's side door is broken and now comes off the car really easily. Not saying it's Southside's fault, but it's an odd coincidence that problem exists adjust after getting my car back. I wouldn't recommend this place if you have an issue that is more than cosmetic. And then... Instead of saying something like, "Sorry you had that experience", they respond with, "this must be a fake post"... SMH... Never once do they say that the parts they need are on backorder... They simply replied with, "we don't know"... 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe. Dropped off Jan. 2, picked up 3/13...

We had two door handles that broke off our Chevy avalanche and we couldn't open the doors. They made sure to squeeze us into their busy schedule since they knew how challenging it must have been with two kids to have two doors not working. They were awesome. Outstanding customer service and care and fast turnaround time. I highly recommend South Side Auto Body! Thanks everyone from Mike and Christie!

I bought a brand new car and had to have it fixed twice in one year! The first time someone rear ended me and that shop took my car and kept it for over two week and re-installed my rear view camera upside down. South Side did SUCH A GREAT JOB. Since my car was drivable, they had me come in and then they ordered the parts and I took my car home and was able to drive it. I took it in one day and it was back to me within 2 days. They worked with my insurance company directly so I cannot make any claims about prices. However, they even offered to pick me up the day it was time to come and get it. The work looked good and since it was brand new I wanted it to stay looking that way. I will definitely take my car there in the future if I need body work.

My car was destroyed by a bear (twice) on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. South Side finished the repair in a timely fashion, and my car looked great after. Even better than it looked before each of the bear attacks honestly. And I have no clue how this happened, but I am even getting way better gas mileage now after the repairs. Literally no clue how that happened... but I m not complaining!Services: Auto detailing, Vehicle maintenance

I got in late at night to South Lake Tahoe and hit a steep curve with my car coming into a hotel parking lot. My front and back bumper bent and broke in several places. First thing in the morning I headed to South Side Auto Body to have them assess the damage. Ryan was super helpful. He looked over my car, realigned the bumper and zip tied everything in place so we could drive it a couple more hours to our destination. He did it all for free and was very kind and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone who values smart, hardworking staff as well as quality service.

Honesty, integrity, accommodating and quality sums up this business.Unfortunately, we have had two personal vehicles in for repair and this company was solid. These guys are kind And knowledgeable. Their name on Google says free estimate no appointment needed and that is true you can show up and they will get you in and they will be really nice about it too. Would recommend these guys to anyone in South Lake who needs work on their car

I went here to get an estimate from a car accident with minor damage/ repair that was covered by other the parties insurance, who admitted liability ... CO. Auto body admitted making mistakes on my car's repair & told me to get an estimate that would be covered by warrenty. SSAB , not only did they not give me a proper full estimate , but they set an appointment & cancelled... Its August 2nd & they said they can see me in October for repairs & they know I dont live in Tahoe !? Then they set an appointment & then cancelled. Owner Ryan F. is a short white male & drives a bright green lifted truck & was not professional & I didn't trust him at all . It felt like he was playing games & he was extremly frustrating to deal with . He really seems to not know what he was doing. He said they did not send an email @ info to other party & it turns out they did send the email. This caused problems with responsible parties insurance . Etc.Zero cell reception at this business & I nicely asked to use a landline phone to call other parties car insurance & auto body 's 800# & they created drama over something that was a normal part of dealing with car insurance...it was exhausting !Not someone I would waste my time doing business with unless you like a huge headache ... total b.s. . Its the last thing you need after a car accident that isn't your fault... fighting with car insurance is stressfull enough !So , I went to the other auto body place in SLTahoe & had a better experience , no b.s./ hassle & straightforward fast estimate .
