Had my transmission on my truck looked at and ultimately replaced. Dennis was exceptional at keeping me updated and informed. They even took care of me when I took truck home and had an issue reversing. Brought it back in and they discovered a band broke. They fixed it and had it ready for me the next day! 3yr 100000 mile warranty on all of their transmission

Dennis in the office was thorough and knowledgeable and HONEST. He gave me the best case scenario and worst and put up with my phone calls as I had questions pop up in my head. When something can potentially cost you hundreds of dollars that trust factor really is important, and they earned it from me.

Dennis was helpful, honest, and respectful! He was able to diagnose my issue and recommend a shop able to complete the services and the diagnostic price was totally reasonable!! 10/10!

I had an issue with my truck that another shop caused when they bent the flex plate while removing the transmission... John lifted my truck, figured out what was wrong, and didn't even charge for the diagnosis. I went back to the previous shop and they paid up to replace the flex plate that was damaged. All my transmission work will be done at certified in the future! Great company, honest and trustworthy! Thanks!

At that age where I've had more than my fair share dealing with auto, transmission and body shops and dealing with Certified Transmission was a true delight. Even though I did not take advantage of their service (my car just wasn't worth the expense considering what I paid for it), in the arena of professionalism, courtesy and follow-up, Cindy made dealing with them a very pleasant experience. Had I moved forward, I have no doubt I would receive just as excellent a service as I had on the customer care side. Thank you, Certified - wishing you continued success.

John wouldn't take my money! I was referred to Certified by my Subaru independent repair shop who told me that I had transmission problems. John and his team quickly diagnosed the problem as an electrical issue with the transmission harness. They cleaned some contacts and drove the car for two days to make sure the issue was fixed. John told me that he's 80% sure it will be OK. If not I'll return so that they can replace the harness with a factory part. That wont' be cheap but it would be a whole lot less than replacing a transmission and/or transmission control module. To date the issue was diagnosed, fixed and thoroughly tested. And when I picked up my car John wouldn't take my money! All he asked was that I refer people to him. He can count on that!

Thanks to John and Cindy. I took my 34 foot motor home in for no 2nd gear braking.Had trans o/hauled and upgraded. Excellent price and service. I would recommend this shop to anybody Thanks Again Herb H.

Very profesional shop. They are on time with the work and have access to a large inventory of transmissions. Mark is very helpful and friendly and able to answer any questions you might have. Highly recomended.

I have a 6.0 powerstroke diesel that I added some mods and now it puts out close to 700hp and 750lbs torque. It broke the stock torqueshift transmission. Their road ripper 3000 can and will handle all that extra power and they give a generous warranty. Highly recommend

Certified Transmission saved our vacation!!!If 10 stars were an option they would have earned it. Last week my family and I were headed out to Sedona in our Jeep Wrangler. This would be the first big road trip with the Jeep. Unfortunately the transmission started to have trouble soon after leaving town. After calling several transmission shops from the side of the road, I found Certified Transmission. Cindy sounded honest over the phone and assured me they would be able to look at it first thing that morning.We had it towed down to the shop and sure enough they jumped right on it. After 10 minutes of these guys looking at my jeep I could tell they knew what they were doing. Unfortunately my transmission was toast. We would have to replace it. I thought our vacation was ruined, but Certified Transmission managed to have one shipped from Los Angeles over night and have it replaced in under 24 hours. I got to tell my 2 year old son and wife that the trip was back on :)We were back on the road the very next day and made it to Sedona. The jeep is running better than when I purchased it. I will never use another transmission shop and will recommend Certified Transmission to anyone looking for transmission work on their jeep or other. If you need an emergency transmission repair shop in San Diego, call these guys. You will get an honest assessment and they do quality work.

I've taken two cars there for transmission inspection/test. I was given an estimated time of completion and they were right on time with both cars. Even saved me a lot of money by letting me know that my newer car was still under warranty for the transmission. I will be going there again soon.

We had our corvette transmission fluid and filter changed a year ago by John and the vette runs great,shifts very smooth and the temperature is lower. Great friendly service. We highly recommend ! John G.

Had Transmission rebuilt as Factory Transmission owner passed away Closed for 1 1/2 months reopened as certified transmission. I brought my car back 4 times complaining grinding in Transmission was not normal. Each time additional work was done (and paid) but never took care of grinding noise. 2 times I picked up car mechanic was already gone. Paper work always said car is old supposed to make noise. I would have returned more times but was working in LA. The last time I brought in the car I came back by just as they opened the transmission and was told by John (manager/head Tech who worked on my car from day 1) :It looks as you've been right about something being wrong with your transmission. There is a lot of shave metal in it. I was told my car was ready 2 days later when I picked it up I was told by John sorry I made a mistake. The shave metal in your transmission is normal. The next day Nissan and 10 days later another repair shop told me your transmission is no good the gears need replacing something Factory / Certified did not replace as I found out when Turbo Transmission took the transmission apart showing me the gears and the wear and the cause of the grinding noise. Had the transmission rebuilt correctly for a lot less than Factory / Certified ripped me off for

Certified Transmission really takes good care of their customers! They installed a new transmission for us before we took a road trip. We were pulling a really heavy trailer. On our way home the torque converter went out. We were in the middle of nowhere. They helped us find a place to get it fixed and back on the road.

I have been doing business with John and Dennis for years for different cars . I recently brought in my classic 1929 chevy, 350cu engine , turbo 400 transmission for service because it was shifting eratic and shifting at high rpm. Dave spent time to troubleshoot and discovered the car had previously been mis-wired to the transmission upshift solenoid. A unique problem that most folks couldn't discover.Service: Transmission

I bought a transmission from certified for my ram 2500 Cummins back in 2017 it's been beat and abused with over 200000 thousand miles of hard towing and it's still going strong, enough said about the quality of the build.

I brought my RAV4 to Certified Transmission in Santee on the referral of Asmars Auto Care after an engine steam clean at Asmars. Dennis at Certified Transmission is great at listening to your concerns & suggested a diagnostic service to be sure my transmission is in good shape. The next day, my RAV eval was complete. Dennis described how they performed the diagnostics & confirmed that my transmission is not leaking & is operating as it should.
