Real life experience this morning. Called last week and spoke with Jesus. Made an appointment for Monday at 8am. Showed up early to check in and spoke with another service write that could not find me on the schedule. Asked me what I was in for and then said they didn't perform the service I needed. So strange that I could be quoted for something they don't do? Typical! As a mechanic it is a real shame. I don't have the expensive equipment to perform the update I needed but maybe Pats can at least take something away from this post and apply a lesson or two. There are multiple flags to learn from. My one and only experience with this company. Crossing them off the list.

I live across from this place and let me tell ya it s always pack of cars I see why. I took my car to get work done and they did an amazing job Antonio at the office explain averything about what was need to be done from the get go thanks for that, there all kind an make you feel welcome as I saw other customers getting taken care of ,and will give you a ride where you need to be while your car is getting service big plus not all mechanic shops do that overall honest job done my cars is running great thanks Pat s automotive I definetly recommend to everybody in the central coast.

We recently had the pleasure of working with the fantastic team at Pats Automotive for a quick service need for one of our campervans. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and get us back on the road as quickly as possible.From start to finish, their communication was clear and professional, and they made sure to keep us updated throughout the entire process. The service they provided was top-notch, and we could tell that they truly care about their work and their customers.We were especially impressed with their attention to detail and their thoroughness in diagnosing and fixing the issue. They even took the time to walk us through everything they did and answer any questions we had.Overall, we could not be happier with our experience. We highly recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a great mechanic shop!

Alex and Pat are so honest at Pat s Auto, that they referred me back to the place where my original warranty and repairs were completed versus making a ton of money from me for parts and repair.Honest, trustworthy, and knowledgeable- I am quite impressed. My truck had an intermittent stalling issue that two other well-regarded shops couldn't repair, because they couldn't reproduce the problem.Pat's was able to diagnose and fix it perfectly, when I was just about to give up. I highly recommend this shop.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

We have used Pats for years now and I can' tell you how great it is to have a mechanic you can trust. They have saved me and my family many times over. I've had many times when I took my vehicle in to get diagnosed and of course it ran fine and they didn't charge us. Alex at the front desk is very friendly and professional. I can' say enough good things about my dealing with them over the last ten years.

My famies have been using this business for decades. I recently move back to the state and had my smog and lamps done as well as some other repairs. Professional and very understanding. They will explain everything to you about your car. In my case the parts that arrived were not the same quality they use to be, they let me know and I decided to wait for a reorder on a priduct to par. Excellent custoner service.

My wife and I both bring our cars here, and I'm now on my second vehicle to have serviced there. Pat's Automotive always completes my maintenance jobs quickly, the staff is friendly, and I never have to worry that I'm not getting a good deal

Excellent service, clean, knowledgeable, they know what they are doing, I'll dare to say I wouldn't trust my cars to anyone else in town, sorry other shops, guys, my safety and that of my family depends on how well your car runs, after a repair job.

They are friendly and do a great job. They are honest didn't charge me when they couldn't identify an intermittent problem I had. I have used them for all my personal and work vehicles. I was referred to Pat's over 16 years ago. I was immediately impressed with the neat, clean look of the facility, and every more impressed with my first few visits. Over the years, I have been more than satisfied. The staff always tells me what the service is likely to cost. They then always call if something is encountered during the service/repair that will add to the cost.People often complain about other auto repair facilities that regularly push expensive repairs that likely do not need to be done. This has never happened to me at Pat's.I recommend Pat's Automotive to any and all.

Fixed my overheating RV within 2 days of first calling, for the best price I could imagine... $331 for new thermostat on an RV and done within 5 hours of dropping it off. Couldn't ask for better work and better service. Thank you Pat!!!

I have an older car that had some issues. The whole team at Pat's contributed to solving its problems. I appreciate the care they took to send me home with a much better car than I brought in. They have also serviced two other cars I own honestly, carefully and cheerfully.

I have been using pats for years now and they have always fixed my issues with ease and efficiency. To tell you how much they care I'll tell you a quick story. I had them rebuild my front end on my truck. Once it was done i needed new tires so I drove slowly down the road to a tire shop and had them put 4 new tires on once I left and would hit about 40mph my whole.front end would jump and jerk and feel like it was gonna fall off. U took it back to pats and told them. Pat himself spent all day working out the problem. He even took the wheels off of his own truck and put them in mine to see if that was the problem. Which it was the tire shop screwed up the balancing it was no fault of pats. So when I went to pick my truck up and asked how much I owed them for trying to find the problem. I was told I owed nothing. They spent all day working on my truck trying to find a problem someone else caused and didn't charge me a dime.Love these guys

An automotive repair shop run by a meticulous honest and decent guy (Pat!) who diagnosed our campervan (charging system failure) as if it were his own. Who could ask for more?Professionals like Pat are a gift to road warriors far from home if you live in Santa Maria, Ca, consider yourself lucky his shop is in your neighborhood!

By far the most honest business that I have had ever dealt with. I would recommend coming here 1st, they will not screw you!!! I was blown away by the honesty and professionalism. Save yourself time and money by using them!! This is the only place I will ever use for my vehicles!!

My husband, Jim, and I have been taking our vehicles to Pat's for years. We've taken our kids cars and our grandkids cars. We've taken RV's, new cars and old, beat-up trucks. Whatever needs fixing, the people at Pat's know what to do. They do it right the first time, stay in touch so you know what's happening and charge a fair price. They seem like family to us now and we would never go anywhere else. We also get a discount with our triple A card which is nice. We highly recommend Pat's.

My dad has been taking his car to Pat's for many many years. I had his car towed in on a Thursday and it was ready for me to pick up on Friday. Great bunch of guys there.

I visited Pats Automotive for a smog check. They found a small hole in an exhaust line and I failed the smog test. The car passed the machine test but failed the visual inspection. I was a little upset because I thought they were being to "by the book". Alex made up for it by going out of his way to help me find the replacement part. None of his vendors had this part and it was no longer in production by the manufacturer. He took the time to search eBay and found the correct part. Pat's Automotive was willing to do the repairs if I supplied the part from a third party. I thought that was cool.Professional integrity pays off:After my experience with Pat's Automotive I brought my mom's van in 3 times. The first time they looked at the van and they did not find any problems with the vehicle after spending time examining the car and test driving it. They did not charge us for the service. Mom loved that. The second time the check engine light would come on but would soon turn off. Mom asked me to take the van in again and nothing was found wrong with vehicle and again no charge. The third time I took the van in for an oil service and after the service was completed they gave me a list of things to consider for future service. Charged me a fair price and didn't try to up-sale me any unnecessary things. These guys on more than one occasion earned my trust. Polite, professional and honest. My mom will not allow me to take her vehicle anywhere else. I wouldn't dream of it.

While en route north, one of my drive belts disintegrated, leaving me high and dry, so-to-speak, on the side of the road. Smitty's Tow took me to Pat's; they were full to the gills; but somehow, some way, Alex/ Saul & Pat found the belt I needed (a rare one) and had me back on the road by close of business. Pat's went above and beyond in my book. I will never forget them. Courteous, clean and thoroughly professional. You can't find a better garage on the Central Coast.

The people here are VERY rude AND very dishonest when it comes to pricing. They tried to charge me $2000 for parts that 3 other auto mechanics said was WAY too much. I will never go here and I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Being new to the area, I didn't know where to start when looking for a trustworthy auto shop that provided great service at a great value. Pat's Automotive is definitely all of the above. They were so good the first time I went in, I've been back since and have recommended them to my friends. FYI, I have tried Meinike in North Santa Maria. Meinike has a reputation for having good quality service, so I gave them a try. Overall, I wasn't as impressed by the people at Meinike versus Pat's. Plus, the particular issue I went for Meinike was one where it was originally a $300 job but then ended up being a $650 job by the time they were finished, with the problem slowly coming back over the last few months. Even though I doubt Meinike pulled a fast one on me, it does make me think, "The price never ballooned and the problem never came back whenever I used Pat's Automotive". In the future, I think I'll still branch out and try other auto places in town, but in the end, for the majority my auto work, I'll be heading to Pat's Automotive.

I've been going to Pat's Automotive for over twenty years. Now they have never disappointed us in their service and when they had they made it right at no additional charges that's honesty and fair prices just cannot find these days
