I could go on and on about how great the team here is and how efficient the service is but SERIOUSLY such a friendly place to get your oil changed or tires rotated. They were super busy when I arrived but Jesus (hella friendly!) took care of me and everyone else in line by getting non-oil oil projects out of the way first (yay new cabin air filter!) Patience is such an amazing people leader and you can tell the team truly enjoys working under her leadership. I m literally writing this review as they re working on my car because I had such a great time here today

I had gone up to Matt + Jeff's a few weeks ago to get an oil change, only to be told they didn't have my oil in stock.When I got to Valvoline in San Rafael today, I was welcomed by a super helpful gentleman (so sorry I didn't get his name), who walked me through every step, was so kind and informative, I felt like so grateful to be there.Highly recommend this location for an oil change. I love so much how they all work together as a team, they're all so friendly, clear, and helpful.

First visit. What a super weird concept to sit in your car as someones working on itWas greeted by one guy who thoroughly explained the process (didnt get his name tho everyone wears name tags) and he went through the headlight / tail light inspection. Second guy came through named eddy walked me through everything and showed me options for oil and waa super thorough just like the first guy also super professional.Jordan was the face i saw as a tech...not sure who was under my car...he was also super nice and thoroughVery impressed with this place

My first visit to Valvoline in San Rafael was my best quick oil change ever! The employees who serviced my car (Jonathan and Jesus) were friendly, professional, and competent, and I never had to leave my car. I'll definitely be doing back and recommending friends!

Loved this experience!! Was in and out within ~20 mins. Everyone I talked to on the staff was so nice and made sure I was taken care of. Search their site for coupons too!

I've never been to one of these before where you stay in the car and drive through. It was so fast and easy. The workers were all very nice and helpful; if the light skin employee that checked me out (transactionally) lol sees this...you are one of the finest men alive.

Place is pretty reliable. I e been a few times now and the guys there are very on point. They re knowledgeable , professional and friendly. The people make the place it s a bit over priced but it s Marin.

I was very pleased with the service! All the service men were polite, professional and eager to service my vehicle! Not only was I satisfied with my oil change, I was shocked to know that the service of tire rotation was offered as well. I thought I needed NEW tires. The technicians looked at each of my tires, and collectively came to the conclusion of saving me some money and more time just by rotating them! I was very pleased and loved the fact that I never had to get out the car! Services: Tires, Oil change

Fast and efficient, employees were helpful kind and respectful. They check everything, including air filters. I had sticker shock, may not have been more expensive than oil change places in general. That's why I gave 4 stars, otherwise a 5 star business. I was done in Less than 10 minutes.

Excellent service! Friendly, knowledgeable, fast, thorough, and reasonably priced. I had my van serviced twice at the San Rafael Valvoline after years of going to the Toyota dealer and am so happy I discovered Valvoline. The manager and all the service staff here are kind, conscientious, and so helpful. So nice to stay in my van while the service is done. So fast. I had an unrelated van issue a week after my service and called valvoline to see if it was possibly related to the service. The manager at Valvoline was completely helpful, had me bring my van in, did a diagnostic, discovered the issue, a faulty ignition coil, which was unrelated to the service and needed to be fixed by the dealer; but he assured me that if the dealer said it was at all related to the service, for me to call him and Valvoline would be 100 percent accountable. The dealer confirmed the issue was not at all related to my service at Valvoline and is replacing the ignition coils under warranty. I was so impressed by the conscientious, helpful response of the Valvoline manager and commitment to quality. Five stars! Thank you Valvoline!

These guys are great! Quick, easy, reasonably priced service. Workers seem happy, and I like that they aren't pushy with the up-sell/trying to get me to spend more.

Fast service and clearly explained all the pricing and what was being done. Easy since you dont even leave your car, just drive up to the bay entrance. I got oil change, tire rotation and paid all in about 25 minutes. Of course they offered extra services just like jiffy and dealerships do. They were NOT pushy at all though! They were honest and told me that my air filter was fine for another cycle. That was a nice surprise.

This is literally the best instant oil change I've ever been to. These folks s go out of the way to get you through quickly, and in the order that you arrived in. They are fast, friendly and always do a great job. Coupons are always available as well.

I serviced my 2018 Encore at this location. I mentioned the services I wished to have performed but, the technicians forgot to place all of the services requested on my 1st invoice. As technicians were trying to usher me out I had to lean out & ask why my tires were not being rotated. I felt bad for technician that had to pull up my invoice & check what was going on & then inform me I had to now pay for rotation. Since my invoice was being emailed to me I didn't get a chance to review what I was being charged for. It was then that I discovered "full synthetic" oil was placed instead of the "synthetic blend" oil I'm used to receiving as well as a "premium" oil filter was placed. I'm not sure why I was not informed about the type of oil+filter that was being used.....I don't have a problem with what's required for my vehicle....but would have liked to have been informed as the products used were more costly.Well, lesson learned.....In future I will have invoice given directly to me rather than emailed.Services: Tires, Oil change

This was my first time getting an oil change here. I liked the stay in your car procesd. By the time the guy processing my payment had the information processed, the oil had been changed, fluid levels checked and more. There were several mechanics attending to my car st once. Discount coupons seem plentiful.

Went for oil change seemed to go smoothly. Then an hour later noticed my truck leaking oil. Brought it back down and they claimed it was a faulty oil filter and fixed. One week later still leaking oil LAME being that this is their main service offered. Now I have to go back a third time to get fixed and my truck was not leaking oil before trying this place w out. I will not be going back after this fiascoService: Oil change

The people at Valvoline Instant Oil Change are kind, funny, and good hearted. They seem to actually want to save me money and apply coupons when they can. They are so friendly and left me with a smile on my face! They were also very quick, I think I was only there for like 20 minutes. Another time I went there when it was SUPER busy, I still barely had to wait and they were so kind. This is the place to go!Services: Air conditioning, Oil change

My experience at this oil change location was pretty great. The techs were friendly and helpful and gave great advice in services needed for my vehicle. The service was quick and straight forward.

Very nice. Kind of high prices. They also will always offer more things your car "needs", but I never feel pressured. Some of the extras they offer they even said things like 'that they would personally wait on this vs that you may want to consider sooner.' So once again, never felt pressured for the extra stuff you may "need." I have gone to other places and they roll their eyes when you say no to the additions. Staff is very friendly and sincere. Fairly quick. Don't have to leave the car. Was safe during Covid. 5 stars if prices were a bit lower.

A great experience all 3 times I have been here. This time was exceptional because our man in Bay 1 applied a coupon of $25 when I asked him to apply mine of $7! Then since our car was in an accident the hood didn't close and so Sean came to bend it back into shape with his bare hands and screwdriver! :)

Hey bring my personal vehicle and my work vehicle here. The kids there are always polite always courteous they know what they're doing you're in and out of there really quickly and I also love that you can drop by and just have them check your tires and your oil if you need to! Paul S

This oil change is so much better than Penzoil. Much more professional! They updated their system, so you can see the screen to check what kind of maintenance is needed. I stayed in the car the entire time while they changed my oil, so it took between 10-15 min. The staff was also super friendly. Will definitely be back here when I need a quick oil change!
