My exhaust pipe recently cracked in two. I was worried this was going to be expensive and difficult to repair. I was referred to these guys by my local mechanic and I couldn t have been happier with the experience.I called, explained the issue and they asked me to bring it in. They were able to take a look at it right away and quoted me $150 to fix it within about 35 minutes. That was it. Quick, easy, straightforward. They did a great job and made the whole process painless. Highly recommend.

Completely botched and unhappy with the resolution and outcome!� My vehicle failed smog due to the tampering of my catalytic converters: turns out Golden Auto Muffler removed and replaced my cats with resonators.I argued with the shop to no avail since they refused to accept full responsibility.� Their only offer was that I pay for a complete cat job minus the price of the previous work.� I had to bring in The Bureau of Automotive Repair, which got me a somewhat favorable compromise: cats at cost with no further labor.� My hands were tied; I gotta pass smog.In the end I got a cut-rate job commensurate with the amount I paid.� The welds and mismatched pieces were about as refined as Frankenstein's limbs.� Since the catalytic convertors were shorter than the resonators, some pipe had to remain to fill the gap.� And get this, the guy actually requested smaller cats than the ones brought out previously to make for an easier installation.� I'm sure I still paid for the larger cats.� When I asked why it wasn't a cleaner job, the guy responded with attitude.The worst part is that none of this was necessary.� The boss kept gaslighting me on how my original catalytic converters needed replacement anyway.� On the smog test my vehicle passed functional inspection, but failed visual inspection because of the missing cats.� And two years prior (before they messed with it) it passed both with flying colors.� I'm fairly certain my vehicle would've passed smog if not for their tampering. I had to endure a lot of unwanted hassle and expense due to the shop's misdiagnosis and subsequent negligence.

Got a muffler delete done here in 2019 or 2020 on my 2017 Maxima. Including tips I paid no more than 300. Today I called for a muffler delete and he said $150 each muffler ....... I went to Acapulco in Vallejo for $200

Matt helped me swap the resonators out on my Mercedes ML550. Said it would take an hour and a half but only took 45 minutes - talk about over delivering! I was skeptical because it was on 6th street but these guys are great. Plus, they have the coolest stickers

Very good shop. I came in do delete my muffler and before I came in to the shop they gave me phone call quote. When I came in to the shop they gave me exact quote which was more than it was before but at least they told me actual price before which was great. I know a lot of shops give price after they do their job. But golden auto employee let me know before. Also I love my sound now. My car sound was quite but now it sounds great.

I have been coming here for over 20 years. Reasonable prices and great work. They also have a location in Daly City but I always come to this one.I drive 50 miles to have my exhaust work done here. Why? Because they do not try to rip you off.

Showed up bright and early this morning to get my muffler replaced. Tony is awesome, super nice guy. Honest, smart and very professional.I had a new muffler in less than 30 mins. Service is excellent! Can't find too many of those places around nowadays. I highly recommend this place! I normally don't write reviews for stuff but I had to for this. Reviews really make a huge difference in making an decision of where to go to for service. Go here people! LOL! Thank you Tony, God bless you :)

I went to Midas and was told I had a hole in my flex pipe. They quoted me $1,400 in parts and labor. I told a friend about it and he recommended Golden Mufflers. They replaced the flex pipe in 30 mins! $125 for the whole job!!This is by far the best shop in the city!!Thanks you guys!!

I've been coming here since the mid 90's. Whether it was the dad or the son's or anyone else running the counter. Bottomline, they have always done good work for me. American muscle or import tuner car it doesn't matter they always do a good job.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I was very satisfied with the customer service and labor done on my car. Mike was incredibly helpful and they were very accommodating as I had a few needs in getting my car fixed. Thanks guys!

I feel ripped off. They own two different shops. One quoted me one price the other more. Why the difference, they could not say. Instead I got some word play and no consideration to match the price of their other facility. Does it sound like a burn, It was.

Simply stated, we are truly appreciative to Matt at Golden Auto. We traveled all the way from upper Minnesota to have our brakes go out some where west of San Francisco, as travellers we were expecting to get the "out of town prices " but we're very relieved when we got our bill. THANK YOU SO MUCH for being there for us.

Got code p0420 and they said it was converter problem and replace the converter by 1200 dollar.After that, the fuel efficiency is becoming extremely low, driving from sunset to downtown cost 6 dollar gas.I don't know why a converter replace can make the fuel efficiency as low as this. Apparently something changed in my car after the converter replacing.And after 2 weeks, engine check light on again with code P2238.The gas already cost me 100 dollar more per month and fixing P2238 is another hundreds dollar.

This place is really expensive. I was charged 206.00 to have a flex pipe installed and they charged 80.00 for part and 120.00 but two other muffler places charged 80.00 for the same part on Harrison but they did not call me back in time. Shop around before going here because they are expensive.

They ain't cheap but they are very good. They have a lift outside that can be used to service large commercial trucks, vans and RVs. Hard to come by this level of service and they are fast.

I made an appointment, got in early, and my catalytic converter was replaced at a reasonable cost and in a timely manner. Great Place!!!!

They will fix your muffler while u wait and are the best in town. Only problem is they're not open on weekends
