Wow! Best customer service of any repair shop I ve ever been to. Very fair/reasonable pricing. (Much less than dealership.) They finished earlier than expected. They even let me borrow a car. April, at the front desk, was so friendly, explained all my options, kept me updated on the status, and couldn t have been nicer. I have never had such a good experience with a car repair. I will always bring my car to them from now on and would recommend them to anyone!

Got my car serviced here recently and had a fantastic experience with them. They had a loaner car for me to use and Jeffrey even followed up with me after my service to check on how things were going. 10/10, I cannot recommend them enough!

Fantastic Shop. My car died and had it towed to them due to other reviews. They gave me a very honest assessment of what was needed. Unfortunately my engine block was damaged and needs to be replaced, which I told them I couldn t afford right now. They understood and held my car at there shop for a week without charging me more then the initial inspection fee. Which was very competitive. They didn t push me or try to upsell or make me feel bad or pressured. I highly recommend them and plan to use them again in the future if I need to.

I've been a customer for a while now. I brought my son's car because I believed the previous shop was inexperienced and overcharged by a few hundred dollars, and they kept adding unnecessary repairs.JCM is punctual, provide me with information about what has to be done, and their pricing are fair. April contacts me in the beginning, middle, and end of the procedure. April updates me on the status of every task that is needed and completed. April is friendly and professional. All in all, JCM personnel are extremely professional and welcoming. JCM get the job done and right! Immensely grateful for honest and reasonable pricing from JCM.

Brought my subaru here after taking it to the dealership and getting a completely unreasonable quote for some necessary repairs and maintenance. JCM was quick to get me in for a second opinion, quoted me a much better price, and made the whole experience easy. Thanks April and the rest of the team for your help getting my car good as new. I ll definitely be back!

This business is great. I always take my car here for wheel alignment and the staff are beyond helpful. I m not sure if they still do this but once I had to leave my car overnight and they let me take their loaner to drive to work and whatever I had to do. Great service and great people

Great service! The whole experience was very pleasant. Since my first contact with Jeff on the phone until the day I picked up the car. They are very friendly, professional, fast, accommodating and not pushy!!! They ran an inspection on my car and gave me the diagnostic, but never insisted to have the job done. Just as a recommendation. I can't really say if the price is right, because I did not check other places. I would say that they are honest and fair.I'll definitely take my car back to them when needed.

Always Love bringing all my vehicles here for service! April is an Outstanding service writer! She knows everything about my car and truck and if I don't understand she will explain it too me until I fully understand. She is very patient and always has a smile and something Positive to say. The mechanic's are respectful, the work space around them is always clean, and they do excellent work on my vehicles. Jeff, the owner is Outstanding!! He runs an Amazing shop!! Everyone works as a team player! I highly suggest this shop to anyone looking for a reliable and honest vehicle repair.

Japanese Carmasters are excellent! They are accommodating and will usually get you in for a non-emergency within a week (in contrast to our experiences with the dealerships that often have a backlog of many weeks) and will take your car right away when needed. They are thorough and give you a fair price.Most importantly, they are honest! There have been 2 separate instances where we took our car to a dealership and work for thousands of dollars was recommended and they checked our car and found that some parts of the outrageous estimate were unnecessary.Definitely give them a try and the charge for their time for the estimate is worth it and you will likely have them do the work!!

Jeff and his team were fantastic from start to finish. The staff were friendly and professional and the work was high quality. When I caught a small detail they missed, they were happy to make it right and gave no pushback. Reasonable prices, clear explanations of services, and a very handy shuttle program. I'll definitely be going back to them with any jobs to big to tackle on my own.Service: Transmission

Brought my Honda Civic in for new front struts as was making a noticeable squeaking noise over bumps on driver's side. They provided me a fair quote over phone first and with using high quality parts. Was able to use one of their available courtesy loaner cars while the work was being done. Same day repair in and out. Friendly and knowledgable folks working at this shop. The owner followed up to make sure all was good after. Thank you JCM. The squeaking was driving me nuts! We've been coming here for our cars for a few years now. They still understand what SERVICE is supposed to be. Great follow up, explanations are always precise and understandable. They won't sell you anything you won't need and they give a great list of priorities. Jeff and April are a great team and they will be part of our car care team for as long as they keep on treating us like they do now.

I can confidently say this is the best experience I ve ever had at an auto shop! I called in Sunday because my car was in bad shape and by early Monday afternoon I was driving home with my car in excellent shape! Everyone is so kind and honest, highlights though are Jeff who is so helpful and April who was so wonderful! I will definitely be back in the future for any car maintenance I may need. Would give more stars if I could

I had an appointment for an alignment for my wife's RDX on a Friday morning. Fred who was working in the office was super friendly and knows how to give great customer service. The whole process took about 30-40 minutes which was great. The prices here and the service were both fantastic. I'll be back the next time I need anything done for our vehicles.

Amazing service. Hard to trust just anyone when it comes to costly auto repair but These guys are honest helpful and a wonderful addition to the San Diego small business community. April even Showed me some simulations on the computer of what my car was experiencing as well as help me with a very easy and inexpensive financing option that made it possible for me to fix my car properly.

Came in for a wheel alignment for my CX-9. Scheduling an appointment online was easy and received a friendly email from Jeff soon after. Service appointment went well and I like how Jeff is very approachable and provides all of the details you need about the service with no gimmicks or hard sell. A great place to keep in mind for your car needs.

Honest, reliable, responsive and friendly and they do great work; what more could you ask for? It s amazing helpful that they give me a forecast of what to expect down the line for my Honda. This could happen in 3 months if you notice this noise based on what we saw. But if you don t notice it, you don t need the repair . Integrity and transparency at its finest. Also thanks to April for answering my mechanically ignorant questions!

Amazing experience. This place is so friendly and communicative and honest I can t say enough great things about this place. I originally took my Toyota to Kearny Mesa Toyota Services Center only to have them say it was a head gasket and they were going to inspect further. They wanted to charge me $6000 and not really know what the issue is. A friend recommended this place toMe And I can t say enough great things. They contact me when they need it to look further to be able to diagnose actual problem, which did cost a little bit extra.They were very clear that it would be Two hours of labor to diagnose the issue rather than one, and I approved it. It ended up being lifters that needed to be replaced and cost $1500 and not the 6000 that Kearny Mesa Toyota quoted. They also tested my head gasket and said they could not find any issues with it in the van should be good to go

This auto center is awesome. They took in my car at the end of the day and still found time to diagnose it and find the needed part. They did not fix anything extra to add on the invoice, rather they provided me with great information on the other issues i want to pay attention to, which was great for me. Also, April was very personable and just a pleasure to deal with. I will definitely depend on them for future fixes. Thanks, JCM!

I had this check engine light for my 03 350z that I couldn t figure out the source of. I brought it to Japanese Car Masters and they diagnosed it in two days. Incredible service at a reasonable price, would highly recommend. These people know what they are doing. April is very helpful and was patient with all of my questions, and the mechanics are very professional and knowledgeable. In addition, one of my quick release bumper tie bands broke and they replaced it for free, didn t even have to ask. Will definitely be going back if I need anything else. Thanks guys!

J-Carmasters provided quality service at a reasonable price. My Miata had several hard to diagnose problems that they fixed, with only a little trial and error, and they saved us money. Car runs much better now, We're happy!

I was out-of-town and experiencing trouble with my Subaru. I went to this shop without any recommendations except online reviews. Jeff was so friendly and welcoming! He was very honest and understanding about my situation. He's true car enthusiast as well! I would trust Japanese Carmasters with my Subaru as well as my S2000.

Japanese Carmasters is by far the best shop I have come across in San Diego. They are extremely friendly and quick with services. I drive well out of my way to take my car here for anything it needs because I know they will take care of everything for a reasonable price. The staff goes above and beyond every time I am there for service.

Amazing service, great staff, competitive prices. I am always hesitant to bring my cars in to repair shops, you've heard the horror stories: Horrible service, overcharged, tried to up sell, None of that occurred in the numerous times that I have brought my vehicle to Japanese. They have always treated me with the utmost respect, made me feel like a person not a moron who knows nothing about cars. Larry the manager, and manny the service tech told me upfront what the cost would be, ended up being a little cheaper, but, I would've paid the original quote I was that satisfied with the service, Definitely bringing my car back when needed. Japanese has earned a customer for life.

Best automechanics EVER! They are honest, friendly, and flexible. They tell you the truth about your car. Their recommendations are spot on. The owner, Jeff, is a wonderful man! I could not give a higher recommendation to Japanese Carmasters. I would trust them with any car!

Honestly the worst service I have ever had. My car was in this shop for about 2 1/2 weeks. First off let me say that I had to bring my car back 3 separate times before it was even drivable. Second, it is currently about 2 weeks after I drove my car off the lot and it is no longer in a drivable state. I truly feel like I was taken advantage of. I recommend that anybody who has car problems in this area do everything to avoid this shop. I am currently out over $1,650 and my car is barely drivable. BEWARE!

First time taking my car here. I only got a simple tire rotation and oil change but Jeffrey was very pleasant. I will give them a try if I end up having any issues in the future.

This repair shop is THE BEST I've ever had my cars serviced at in my life. They are honest, professional, highly experienced, and price is reasonable. My recommendation: if you have some simple needs, such as an oil change or replace a battery, etc., you don't have to go to this shop. However, in case the problem is a little complicated or pricy, then, most positively, give the Carmasters a try.I had my Nissan Maxima recently serviced at the Nissan Dealership for a fairly complicated smog issue, the Dealer wasn't able to correctly diagnosis the issue. Carmasters got it fixed within a very reasonable time frame and charged much less than what the Dealer had quoted for me
