I came here to get my Toyota Camry new brakes and an oil change. The workers were really friendly like Bao. They didn t overcharge me like some other places that completely scammed me. Overall, they are quick, reliable, and super-friendly workers.

Been coming here for years now. They DO get busy so try to call first before coming in. No upselling and always explaining everything thoroughly before they start the work. 110% recommend them!

I had major engine issues with my 98 Dodge caravan. A quote from other shops would have cost 7 thousand dollars and a month in other mechanic shop.This mechanic shop was highly recommended. I called and got a hold of the staff on the phone. They did all the legwork and provided me with a quote of 4 thousand dollars and 2 weeks in the shop.Honest, reliable, dependable and trustworthy mechanic shop i have had the pleasure to have worked on my van. Definitely a shout out to Bao for being a friendly and helpful scholar and a gentleman.

Got an oil change here recently then went on a long road trip and ended up having issues on the road that weekend with losing the lower engine cover. We thought it might have been related to the oil change they had done so came back and they covered the work and replacement costs even though they showed it wasn t related to a mistake on their end. Really friendly workers and super fast and responsible. Will be back!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I've been going to this shop since 2018. B.T Auto Wrench provides fast and friendly service. I had a problem with my check engine light. The issue was found and fixed with no delay. It's difficult to find a honest auto shop these days. Bao really goes the extra mile. Run to this shop. I will definitely be returning. Returned 3/2023. Bao found the latest issue with my car, and got me an estimate quickly. Fair repair prices as usual. A++++

Today was my second visit to the shop. I needed a lube, oil & filter, which is affordably priced at B.T. Auto Wrench. During the service, an issue was discovered that didn't need repairing right away. However, it would be convenient for me to have it done today, so I asked if the part was in stock. They said yes, but they'd need to pick up the part. It turns out they went all the way to Lemon Grove to get the part to complete the repair today. That was beyond my expectations, and I am thoroughly impressed they were willing to do that. The service is great, and the staff are friendly and professional. I highly recommend this shop.

They always find time to squeeze you into there and your schedule. They do good work and they're honest about it. That was 3 years ago.I'm editing this review because I had them install an engine. I should have never done this at this place. The technician destroyed my transmission when placing the engine into the vehicle. I had to ship my transmission back to Japan costing me $1,800. My transmission was less than 2 months old and would no longer function when they put the motor in. More recently I realized that all the gaskets that they did on the motor when they installed the motor are no good. It's been 2 years but I've driven it less than 3,000 miles. They have refused to do any repairs on their workmanship. When I ask for prices now they're $200 or $300 more than they used to be. I won't go here ever again.

I can't recommend this shop highly enough. My son bought a BMW from a family friend, and they always took that car here for maintenance so my son followed through when it was time for an oil change. My son was so impressed that he started taking his Tahoe there, and so I took my Rav4 there when it needed brakes/oil change. Now my daughters Focus needed work so we immediately took it to Bao. As you can see they have become our family auto repair shop and we have always been very happy with the work and especially the costs. They do all kinds of work, for us it's been oil changes, fuel & power steering pumps replaced, brakes, and door locks replaced/re-keyed and probably a few other things, and as you can see, they work on all types of vehicles. They send you an estimate and get right on the work after you ok it. The work has been done quickly which I like because it shows they're honest and not trying to run up hourly rates. And without exception, every service we've had done has been HUNDREDS less than what we thought it would cost. And after the work you get a very detailed print out of exactly what was done. I am so happy/relieved to have found honest, reliable, and knowledgeable mechanic's. It's hard to find a place you can trust, but this is definitely the one!Services: Brakes, Oil change

This shop was a great experience. I found them through the reader for a smog. I needed repairs first and they quoted me the lowest price I had come across. They allowed me to borrow a loaner car for the 24 hours my car would be with them. Bao at the desk was nice, polite and explained everything to me. I felt comfortable dealing with them and I would recommend them to anyone. Actually I already have to a few friends and my mother.

Bao is the best mechanic in San Diego! He always gets me in quick when I have a problem with my car and gives a great diagnosis with lots of explanation and less mechanic jargon, so even I can figure out what s actually happening with the car. He texts you a breakdown with prices and explanations for you to authorize before he works on the car. He will get you out in a timely manner and is always honest. As a woman, he s the only mechanic who I have trusted to give honest advice. I wish I could say more! Just go to Bao.

Waited until my second experience here before writing this review. I had my Audi A3 repaired here twice now. First time for a oil leak and second time when my rear window wouldn't roll up. I called around to multiple shops before settling on this shop due to the good reviews and the fair price. Our car was repaired well and even got a wash. I think the main aspect for the 5 star review is that I appreciate is their honesty. Some shops will find "random" things wrong with your car after you drop it off but I never had that experience here. I never felt pressured here to fix anything while talking with Bao. Highly recommend if you need any repairs.

Great guys here. They do the work you ask for at a fair price. I have been for an engine flush and then when my car was having some trouble I brought it back in and the diagnosed it and had the new sensor put in in about an hour. They are very busy and parking is tight. Great communication though.

Great service for a great price. I have been regular customer for a while now. Bao the owner, always made sure that my car receives everything it needs and nothing more. No nasty business of unwarranted repairs or false warnings. I trust him with all my cars.

I got into an accident and had many issues with my car. David was really helpful in diagnosing the problems and the entire process was very transparent. The pricing was reasonable and overallhad a great experience and would come back again.

This place is great bao is really good about getting us the best prices and is always willing to do right by us and our budgets. He also never pressures us into doing unnecessary work on our car and does the job well and as fast as possible. Weve been going here for years and plan to stick with bao as long as were in san diego.

I brought my Subaru to them & was very impressed on both the price & quality of care! I am a woman & I am very weary of taking my car in and pricing, they seem to over price & take advantage of me so going to BT's was a breath of fresh air! Thank You BT!!!

This is a place where you will not be cheated. Awesome services. Needed a SMOG check and called for an estimated time. Told me it was an hour but I was in and out in about 30 min. Straightforward pricing and courteous customer service. Highly recommended.
