I usually get my smogs done at Salinas smog, However, he always refuses to smog my older vehicles. Its my second time i take one of my older vehicles and he finds an excuse not to smog it, my car is a 1989. He claims he is busy and that he doesnt have time. Then i asked him if i could bring it the next day and he said he didnt know if he had time. So if its not a 1995 and up he finds an excuse not to do it. I will not come back to this shop anymore. They are lazy and only want to do easy jobs. Instead of finding excuses, he should just tell the customers he will not smog older vehicles.

Customer service could have been a lot better the guy seemed like he didn't want to be there or even talk to me got a Vibe of him feeling like I would fail immediately. Even if he's had plenty of people that fail that doesn't mean you treat every person like that, that's not how you run a business.

First time I went there Saul the owner told me I needed a new catalytic converter but there was no check engine on my car. He said it was aftermarket catalytic converter and there was something wrong with it. He wanted $280 for a new one. I left and went to a muffler shop to check it and it was good. Green Phoenix smog passed my car.I gave Saul another chance and went back a few times over the years.Last time I went , he quoted me $300 for smog diagnostic and repair. I paid it but when I picked up the car it started to surge and a stop sign. I should have took it back right away but I thought it would go away or it was a easy fix. Big mistake , when I talked to him , he refused to take respondsibilty and make it right. I spent around $400 trying to fix what they caused. A lot of time and stress .Service: Smog certification

The service advisor took my vehicle right in. Less than a two minute wait. I told them I needed smog certification for my 1998 Dodge Dakota. Total fee: $50. In the middle of the testing, the technician (I didn't get his name unfortunately) showed me that my oil fill cap was broken and if I wanted to walk a block to Carquest on East Market, I could get a new cap and then he could complete the smog cert. He kept my truck in the inspection bay, I got the new filler cap, passed the smog, and was on my way out the door. I highly recommend this shop. Friendly, competent, fast working staff. When I thanked them for waiting for me to get the new cap instead of failing the smog, they told me, "It's all about the customer in their shop and they just wanted my vehicle to pass smog testing". Again, I recommend this shop to anyone who appreciates excellent service, and isn't that what everybody wants when you're spending your hard earned dollars?Service: Smog certification

Was looking for a smog station close by. Quick serve was closed for some time and i forgot about jessies smog. His shop is clean, has two diagnostic machines, he is friendly and knowledgeable, and he performs the test reasonably quickly.
