So sad this shop is closed. My niece s 2005 Volvo XC90 needs servicing. Any recommendations for another good Volvo shop?

Mike (the mechanic) and his wife Melissa are super great people. My partner and I were on a road trip from Oregon to Colorado, by way of Southern California, and our '96 Volvo 850 fuel pump went out. We had people counting on us to arrive and I couldn't believe we broke down 1.5 miles from these guys. MIRACLE AND LIFE SAVER!!! Mike's brother, and son, who both work at an auto parts place, drove not one, but TWO different pumps to us so we had our pick. We were back on the road within 2.5 hours of our arrival to the shop. Melissa and I chatted the whole time, so time flew by. I LOVE THESE FOLKS!!!! We made it to our destination with ease. I could tell Mike is a great mechanic because once the parts arrived, he was very quick and I was able to learn a several pointers from him. The car is running great!! thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!

Closed shop. I hear the owners moved to the Midwest US."One star" because my disappointment, as a vintage volvo owner, that your business was not in Salinas any more. Please don't interpret my disappointment as anger, I don't even know you. The only reason I posted was there was no visible posting telling people that the business was not there any more. Sorry if I stepped on your toes, really.

Mike and Melissa form a great team. Mike is a master mechanic. He looks out for his customers by pointing out problems that Jiffy Lube won't see and warns you ahead of time that a part is going to have to be replaced down the road. He is very knowledgeable and his work is outstanding. He uses OEM parts (not cheap, poor quality parts) to make sure his repairs last. Melissa runs the shuttle service (which is very handy) and makes sure you are informed right away when your car is done. You will not regret taking your vehicle here to be repaired.

Mike is extremely knowledgeable, meticulous, caring, honest, and fair. He is a Volvo specialist, but I would recommend him to fix any car. The garage is immaculate and the prices are reasonable. He takes the time to explain everything.

When we left our LA based Volvo specialist we were very concerned: would we ever find qualified support for our aging but valiant V70s? We were absolutely blessed in being referred to Gothenburg FInest. Mike has provided attentive, balanced, and extremely skilled care , and maintained our cars, especially our glorious 287,000+ miles 2000 V70 in perfect condition. His interventions are measured to the effective need of the car. His workmanship is really The Finest. And his charges are very reasonable. His answers to my husband's endless questions are patient and enlightening, saving us from many unnecessary expenses. Thank you, always!

We have been taking our Volvo's to Gothenburgs Finest for several years. Honest and reliable is how I would describe them. There is no other source I would trust my Volvo's to.

Explains services very well. Specialized in volvos, seems to be taking other brands now. Call to find out.This is a top rate mechanic, with very friendly dedicated office staff
