I recently visited Rocklin Automotive and was very impressed with how professional they are, informative, and beyond fair pricing. I'm someone who always cringes at the cost of going to the dealer for service and was amazed at the pricing and quality of work these guys do. Real service is hard to find these days...I'm done trusting the dealerships for service and won't trust my vehicles maintenance or repairs to anyone else now.

I went in to get an oil change and a new tire. While I as at it I asked if they woule double check my brakes as they were broken in but still making squeaking sounds. I was asked where I got my new brakes, I told him it was a franchised garage. He goes on to tell me all the bad things they do and why they shouldn't do what franchised places do. Tells me the correct way tires should be installed, etc etc etc. They took ALL FOUR tires off to check my brakes. Oh, good he's going to put my tires on correctly, two good ones in the front and the bad ones in the back. After they check the brakes, oil change is done and the tires are back on. The price quoted for the tire, matching the one I had, was three times the price I paid at the other place. So, I declined. I checked my installed tires and noticed that they did exactly what the franchised garage did, incorrectly. I asked, you took the tires off, why didn't you just put the good one in the front like you said? Oh, well you didn't request it and its additional cost. I paid you to assess the brake situation, you couldn't just switch two tires? All in all I paid for a very expensive oil change and to tell me that my brakes are "legal".

Rocklin Automotive did a fantastic job on replacing our water pump and oil filter housing and cooler. Turn around time was great and they did a solid job. Highly recommend anyone looking for any repairs to go here.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

So I have used Mark in his team before but this is the most extensive servicing I ve done on my sons car he lowered it wheels tires brand new suspension roll bar he did the work on time for a great price and most important the installation was done properly with Kerr and attention to detail I really appreciate Mark and his team they are true professionalsServices: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Body & Trim, Oil change

The owner Marc is very reliable and honest! Will definitely be going back! He sold us a car that ended up not being a very good car for my family but was very helpful in getting us a vehicle we liked and that was AMAZING for my family! I had front end work done on my car after an accident and was very happy with the results. They had a tow truck come out and bring it to their shop and handled all the preliminary estimates with my insurance company. There were some issues with my insurance company covering the costs of the work that needed to be done, but the staff and owner Marc made sure to correspond with them and get everything I needed taken care. I really appreciated their quality of work and professionalism.

Brought my car into the shop today for some faulty shifter linkage. Got a call a couple hours later and they told me I could likely have the problem fixed by the dealership as part of a recall. Unfortunately I needed the car that day due to job and life. They got the parts and labor quote which was a little over$1,000. Again he asked if I'd rather save the money and take it over to the dealership to possibly save on the repairs. I told him thank you but let's just get it fixed. A few hours later he called that it was ready. At that time he also let me know he had gave me an incorrect quote originally. The parts were significantly less and the total repair would be a little over $400. Mark didn't have to adjust the quote. I already agreed to pay over $1,000. I needed my car and was willing to pay whatever to get it back asap, and I even told him that. Yet he did the right thing and adjusted the price after he got the correct cost for the parts. A lot of lesser business owners woukd have taken my $1,000 knowing they could have. But Mark didn't. My dad always said you can judge a persons character by the things they do when they think nobody is watching. Definitely will be bringing my car to this shop for all my future service needs, as well as recommending them to everyone I know. Thank you for the great service Mark.

I cannot express the gratitude I have for these folks at Rocklin Automotive. Last year I got my truck leveled with new 35 inch tires and they did a masterful job. Over a year later (a few days ago) I got a huge screw in my tire. This is too big to plug. I needed two new tires so they tread evenly, I tow a boat all the time. These tires are not available and in Texas, without going into any details they picked me up when I was in a bind, let me keep my truck there while they ordered the tires for me and really are making my life easy and stress free. I was across the street picking up lunch, only to return to my car and find I had a dead battery. After trying to jump-start it with no luck, I went across the street to Rocklin Automotive. They went above and beyond, coming across the street to try jump-starting my car - again, no luck. I left the keys with them and, an hour and a half later, they called and said my car was ready. They were so nice and so helpful! And all this on a busy Friday afternoon before a 3-day weekend. I appreciate you, Rocklin Automotive! PS. Mark, the owner, is professional and willing to work with you for your car. I ve had multiple things done through him, each time very happy with the results. Everything I ve had done there has been done on time and a thorough job. Great service at a fair price. Had concerns with an intermittent noise on my F-150. Tom and his team were able to find the issue. Related to poor workmanship from another shop.Tom was professional in his description of the issue and offered a clear option for repair. They tightened up the loose parts and I was on my way.I also had my wife s car in for an oil change. Her car also had an intermittent noise under specific conditions. Tom and his team wasn t able to replicate. But before further diagnosis he checked the factory service bulletin and found a recall claim on the specific issue the car was having.Tom could have charged me a diagnostic to pull things apart and I wouldn t have know anything different. INSTEAD he recommended that we take the car to the dealer to get the work done for free.Thanks Tom and team for the honest service today.Reliability is hard to come by these days and I know I won t have to worry about that here.I would highly recommend the services of Rocklin Automotive to my friends and family.

At first I was pleased with the service, as I was receiving updates on what work was completed on my car. I was away in Florida and was trying to juggle multiple balls.After getting back and driving I started having all sorts of problems. My steering column slowly started to move. When I called to have it taken in I was charged! They said I must have hit something. Simple deductive reasoning could have ruled that out.Next the check engine light came on and I was told I would need a new catalytic converter (I took it to another place and no, that wasn't the case)!Lastly, the motor mount busted! All within a short period of time! I just paid $3,000 to have have call overhauled only to have problem after problem after problem. I had never had so much problems with my car.This place is good for tires, and oil changes, but not much else.

Car would not start, they claimed it was the alternator and computers. charged 3000 dollars to fix and claimed it would run after the repair. 1 week after repair the car wont start again and now they claim there must be something else wrong with a rude attitude. We ask when we can take it back for repairs and when we show up at the time they told us to bring it they said they had no space for our car, wasting our time.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I went in for an alignment for my Infiniti and in two weeks it went out again. I m called back and asked if they can fix it since it is not normal for a car to go out of alignment in 2 weeks and they denied it and refused to give my money back. They also tried to up sell me on spark plugs which are not due for another 30,000 miles. Do not go to this place since they are not honest.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I got new tires and have had my car repaired at Rocklin Automotive and have had a great experience. Pricing was on par (not more expensive as other reviews have suggested) with other quality shops in the area. What makes this place so refreshing is the knowledge/training of the staff and the respect they show towards customers. As a woman, I have had many unpleasant experiences with "car stuff", like not being taken seriously or being taken advantage of. However, both Marc and Tom had a lot of car knowledge to share that helped me make good decisions about what realistically needs to be serviced on my car. It isn't easy to find an honest car shop, but I think I have finally found one. They really strive to have customers leave their shop feeling happy with the repair/service.

I went in and was quoted $150 for some work, which seemed a fair price. When I returned for my appointment, someone with an attitude, who I assumed was a shop owner, told me that the same job was going to be at least $300. A little confused I left wondering if I somehow offended someone and they simply didn't want my business. I went to another local shop and they jumped at the chance to do the same job, plus a little extra, for... you guessed it, $150.I foolishly returned 6 months later and asked about a separate issue. They must have remembered me (though they didn't day it) because I was instantly made to feel like an idiot for wanting to do something custom to my car. I quietly left and vowed not to return and not to let my family ever use their services. Tonight I got motivated and decided to tell all of Google about my experience.

Very knowledgeable, friendly staff. Prompt, reliable, quality service. Had the brakes pads replaced and rotors turned on my 2010 Nissan Armada, with very reasonable pricing and OEM parts. I would highly recommend Rocklin Automotive for any of your car needs.

Been going here for about a year of oil changes for both of our cars. My wife takes are cars in for our oil changes. She took my car in last week, and was told I needed a new serpentine belt. I looked at it when I got home, I looked very hard, and saw very itty bitty tiny hair line cracks. It took me a while to actually see them (with excellent vision). I decide to drive down to Rocklin Automotive the next day and ask. The mechanic took a look for about 30 seconds, looking, looking and then, "ah ha", yeah, see those TINY hair line cracks in a few places. I laughed underneath my breath, and said yeah I noticed those. He seemed upset and irritated that I questioned his ability to sell a work order that was not needed. He said, well, you got 6,000 miles at least. I know this! They will sell you anything that looks slightly worn.When I changed my air filter the week prior to this most recent oil change, surprise, surprise, my air filter was very dirty. Why they didn't mention this from my prior oil change? Two reasons, one, they didn't check it, and two because it doesn't involve work (labor)- just a markup on the air filter which makes no money. They did not check everything under the hood (which is a complete lie to what they offer as a service), and selling work that is not needed or more so not even close to being needed.

Awesome service!! Good solid price and the whole crew cares about my car and safety. Would go again for sure. Best experience for auto repairs. Went to les swhab and they diagnosed me and put a ton of useless cheap parts I didn t need. Rocklin automotive asked me if they could repair other things they found wrong and I ve had no problems for about 2 years now. For sure coming again

The slimiest people around! I've had two cars break down on me and brought them both to them. The first car I trusted their judgement and fixed everything they said they found wrong. I was surprised to find out about most of the problem so I was a bit skeptical but still paid to have it done. Now my second car I've put alot of work into already breaks down and they quote me am outrageous price which I can't afford so for the past few months I've been trying to get rid of it. And now I find out that the fix is rather simple from a different mechanic and my car runs great now. They lie for their own financial benefit. The are highly untrustworthy and I hope no one has to deal with this anymore!

Extremely overpriced, and owner attempted to use a scare-sales tactic to get me to pay a $150 diagnostic fee. All Muffler off Pacific is much better. I know other people who have had terrible experiences here as well. I hope this will help others.

I went into Rocklin Automotive to get a 2nd opinion on a used vehicle I just purchased. I gave them the inspection report from another shop and asked if they through they could check it and maybe inspect the vehicle themselves. The young guy that was helping me at the counter seemed nice but the head mechanic was disgusting. The inspection was from Five Start Auto/Car wash so he said you can t trust anything from them. Jose Rodriguez was mowing lawns last week and now he s inspecting vehicles! It was a completely made up name and incredibly racist. Even the guy that was helping me just froze but that is his boss. I would never knowingly give money to someone like that.

I paid to have my a.c. system diagnosed. $125. Ok I get it, I need a professional to tell me what's wrong l, but at least I will know exactly what needs to be done to have my a.c. back. He calls and tells me it will $675 to get my system working again. Wow, but ok I need a.c.. he calls to have me pick it up and says "It blows ice cold, but only on the windshield". Umm what? Yea in order to tell you why it will be another $125 diagnostic charge and you'll have to bring it back another day because we close in 2 hours. AND the price is the same. At the end of the day I paid for a diagnostic which I got half of one, paid for a repair which fixed half of my problem, and then blown off because they didn't feel like working the last two hours of the day. I paid a professional price for a handyman repair. Do not go here for anything else other than handyman work or you will leave upset and unsatisfied. Be careful because they will make you pay professional prices. Also don't ask to check the repair before you pay and sign because you have no access to your vehicle before you pay and sign.
