Good reliable trustworthy auto shop. Two brothers run it and are very friendly and are good at explaining what has to be done and why. One brother was a 10 year Master mechanic for Toyota and then 10 years as a Master mechanic at Lexus. Know that they only work on Toyota, Lexus, and Honda cars.

I brought in my 2002 Toyota Tacoma for front new brakes as I was told by another shop that I needed them by a certain time. I also had them check the suspension. They told me that the front brakes are good for another 5K to 10K miles and the suspension looked fine also. I was shocked to receive this news as I was waiting to receive a call telling me that I needed a bunch of work done. Not only was no work needed at this time, they also charged me nothing for the visit. Therefore, I highly recommend them and feel great about using them in the future for all of my Truck's needs.

I took my 2015 honda pilot here for a new timing belt, valve adjustment, and a few other things. Not only did Red Sun meet my expectations but they beat them. I m very hesitant when it comes to taking my car to the shop. After doing my due diligence and looking around at local shops, these guys had me sold. They stand for integrity and perform services at a very fair price. You will get no run around from these guys, strictly professional. Thanks again Red Sun, you have won my business from here on out.

I take my 2016 Acura MDX here routinely for maintenance for over a year now. I previously took it to the Acura dealer. I am extremely pleased with the maintenance Fong provides me at RedSun.

I have been coming to Red Sun since I moved to the area in 2016. I will be forever grateful that I found them. When I bought a used Toyota about a year ago, I had them check it over and they did not charge me a penny since I have given them my business for a number of years now. My car is being serviced now for its 60,000 mile service. It is possible I might need a new alternator and they will be checking that out for me.But the bottom line is, I trust Red Sun. I know they will not tell me I need a new alternator unless I truly need one.They are very busy these days and, if you need an appointment, make certain you book at least 3 weeks out because that is how long it will take to get an appointment since they are just that good that people want to take their cars nowhere else once they have worked with Red Sun.

These guys have always been trustworthy. When the Toyota dealer in Auburn tried to do an oil change on my Camry hybrid FAR earlier than was actually required for a hybrid car, the guys at Red Sun have always been spot on in their maintenance recommendations. If you're looking for honest, trustworthy mechanics, this is your place. Highly recommend.Service: General repairs & maintenance

They are great! Went in to get my check engine light looked at and even though they can't work on my car because I have an interlock device in it, they read the code. Now I'm closer to getting it resolved. When I no longer have an interlock device in my car I will have them work on it.

Red Sun Automotive is reasonable and top notch customer service. I have been taking my car here for years and have never been disappointed. They answer all my questions, never over charge and always take the best car of my car. The owners treat you like family with respect and care. They are honest and very organized! If you have a Honda, Toyota, Acura, or Tesla that needs attention Red Sun is the only place you should go. They are quite busy, because they do it right, so appointments are usually necessary. But if you want it fixed right THE FIRST TIME Red Sun is where you should go.

Great I went for an estimate on oil leaks. Was waiting a short while. Then given my estimate. I need to book ahead two weeks already booked. This is my second car I've taken. Was very satisfied w/prior car. Now will be taking my Honda. My family & friends go this place. They are through & helpful. I totally recommed this place.

Trustworthy, which goes far nowadays. Been bring my RX330 here for a while for regular maintenance. Always been great service at a decent price. Make sure to make an appointment, as these guys are busy and booked! They won't try and upsell you on stuff, in fact it's the opposite, I often think the car needs a certain fluid change or service and they say it's just fine as it is even when I ask. Hop and his guys run a tight shop and I'd highly recommend if you have an older Toyota/Lexus to stop wasting money at the dealership and go to Red Sun.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change

I had an excellent experience with everyone I encountered today! I drive a Lexus CT 200h and initially took it into the dealer for a check up because the precious owner had established with them. After getting a ridiculous quote from the dealer, I reached out to Red Sun Automotive Repair and was taken care of extremely well. Great place for auto work. Very courteous and honest. I have taken our two Toyota Prius' there couple of times. In one case they did the diagnostics and found out that I was in my last few days of warranty, and recommended me to take it to a dealership. No charge. The best auto repair shop in the Sacramento area! The only place to bring your Toyota or Lexus. I'm so glad I found this place! They have done an excellent job repairing and maintaining my Toyota! They are reliable, friendly, honest, and won't recommend work that isn't needed and won't overcharge you. Hop is the best mechanic I have ever experienced. Highly knowledgeable in his field, goes above and beyond not only as a business man for your car service repairs, more importantly as a respectable, honest person. Very trustworthy and an expert mechanic with Toyota, Lexus, Honda & Acura made. I wouldn't go anywhere else besides here. I appreciate his work ethics and ettiquette. Was visiting from out of town and needed an oil change on my Honda; based on reviews I gave Red Sun a try. Well I can tell you from my experience that they deserve all those 5 star reviews! I also had them check my brakes and because they were able to do so without pulling the wheels they didn't even charge me. Great experience here and I really appreciate the excellent work, professionalism, honesty and integrity! Also awesome that they work on Honda vehicles as well.

I have a Lexus SUV and have been taking it to Red Sun for years. My car is more than 15 years old now with about 240,000 miles on it and it still runs great with the care they give it. They always explain what is going on with my car and keep me informed about things to keep an eye on. When they fix an issue, it's fixed and they stand behind their work. They go above and beyond to give me a good price for the parts and service, throwing in a few extras at no charge from time to time. They are timely and efficient in their work and always very professional. I started bringing my car here when it became too old to justify having it serviced with the dealership. Now I wouldn't dream of taking a new or used car anywhere else. Hop and Phong, you guys are great. Thanks for your good work!

Love Red Sun Automotive. The owner is a straight shooter and takes great care of all our Toyota vehicles. He has fit me in when I just need a oil change a few times but they stay busy so call ahead if you need your major service completed same day.

Great place to bring your Toyota, Honda or Acura. Unfortunately the do not do other brands of vehicles anymore. Very thorough and reasonably priced. They they do a lot of complimentary stuff like change your battery free to charge. You just pay for the battery type thing. I drive 25 mi just to service my car here. They are very busy so plan ahead and schedule. They are about a week out.

Thank you Hop, for such an amazing job you done for the major service on my 1999 ls400. These guys are truly the best, super honest, and super knowledgeable, at a very fair price. If you want it done correct the first time, red sun will take care of you, truly one of the best shop around period. Hop is so pleasant to talk to, and will give you his true honest opinion. Give them a try you won t regret it.

I recently bought a new Toyota and wanted a reputable shop to give it the "once over" - so I turned to Google/Yelp and found Red Sun. I was not disappointed (and neither will you) by the plethora of 5 star reviews. The crew here are professional, timely, and will not seek to have you as a customer only once (i.e. screw you on unnecessary repairs and/or overcharge). I will go back here anytime I need something done on my new 4Runner.Service: General repairs & maintenance

The men at Red Sun are a great group of guys. I had my car in for an alignment. On the first try they noticed a few things that would keep my car out if permanent alignment. They gave me a verbal list of required repairs. I completed them and brought my car back. They aligned it the second time and did a great job.While I was waiting I had the opportunity to overhear a few conversations the mechanics had on the phone and in person with existing and potential customers.In every instance of their dealings, they treated customers with professionalism and respect. They were always offering advice (good advice in my opinion) on ways to save the customer money as well as time.I do all my own maintenance and almost all of my own repairs. But, in the future, if I need any service that Red Sun provides, They have my business.

I went here to get some help with a problem that left my car unsafe to drive and booked an appointment and had the car towed in that day. Later that day I get a call that my inner and outer tie rods were bad (already knew that and was gonna get to it after the brakes hose/line was done), they couldn't fix the brake hose/line problem, and that the fuel tank was being held in by "threads" and that the car was unsafe to work on. At first I understood and didn't really question it at all and just had the car towed back. That was about a month ago and just yesterday I went under the car to check and see if I could get the brake line out when I noticed something that really angered me: the "threads" that was holding in the fuel tank was 2 metal braces that held the tank in very very tight! I don't understand why they would lie to me like that on the phone.Edit 1: I will post photos of the "threads" that was holding in my fuel tank since I know the owner is gonna reply with something

I had the honors of getting to meet the owner of this fine establishment. I went in because my lexus ls430 was leaking transmission fluid like no other and i was not able to find the problem without pulling the whole thing out. The owner was able to find the source of my problem with ease and gave me the option to either have him source a new transmission for me or repair the current one. Great prices, great people.
