California Transmission is awesome!! 3 shops told me I needed a new one or rebuilt transmission. I took it there for the rebuild and I got a call the next day saying they found the issue, it was fixed and $300 out the door. These guys could have just gone and done the rebuild anyways and collected there $5000 + but they didn t. Definitely recommend to anyone. Honest, quality workmanship.

I didn t repair my car there, but I went there and talked to get a quote. Mike sounds like decent trust worthy person but the price he gave me was too close to dealer, so I took the car to dealer. Mine is a Nissan Rogue with CVT TRANSMISSION.

I brought my old truck to California Transmissions in Rocklin because it had an oil leak that had developed under the transmission. Right off the bat I was shocked when they wrote up a diagnostic work order totaling $0.00. They put my truck on their rack but were initially unable to pinpoint the source of the leak because there was so much oil under there. So they cleaned the whole area, then told me to drive the truck over the weekend and to bring it back on Monday, which I did.On Monday, they put it back up on the rack and discovered an area on the driver's side of the engine block that was wet with oil, but nowhere else. It wasn't a transmission leak after all. It was an engine oil leak that was running back onto the transmission and leaking to the ground from there. I will likely be able to fix that myself.After all that, they charged me NOTHING.There are plenty of shops out there that would have told me that I had a catastrophic transmission problem and needed a complete rebuild. You know who you are. But California Transmissions in Rocklin is not one of them. They are my go-to transmission shop from now on, and I will recommend them to my family and friends as well.Honest mechanics sometimes seem as scarce as hen's teeth. When you find one, you hold on to them for dear life. Thanks so much for the HONEST work, guys.

This is my dad s shop! He s an amazing and trustworthy guy! him and his team have worked on my cars plenty of times and have always treated their customers with respect. they are amazing people and Brian is an amazing business owner!!

**YOUR CAR WILL BE STOLEN**MY CAR WAS STOLEN FROM HERE** DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS ** I FLATBEADED my 98 Acura GSR on a Wednesday, battery dead, clutch out, master cylinder failing and minimal transmission fluid. On Friday, the owner Jacob informed me my car was on a lift and parts were ordered. The owner also said one of his guys would be in on Saturday to work on my car hoping to get it back asap. Jacob calls me on Monday and says we can't find your car. The security video shows that after the car being broken in to, the theif was able to drive off with my car, not smoothly, but drivable. How is that possible? Battery dead, clutch out etc.?! Inside Job? The Owner Jacob and his crew are two faced characters who joke with you to gain your trust. Family owned business? More like Family owned CROOKS using a legitimate business name for a cover. Check out their website, no meet the team section or a Owner profile&Pic and backstory like a REAL family owned business. I wonder how many cars have been stolen from here and what models they were? Hmm. The owner Jacob just handed my keys back and said sorry, and thats all! Didnt offer to rectify the situatuin.**DO NOT GIVE THEM BUSINESS**YOUR CAR WILL GET STOLEN**They give you false security.**FALSE SECURITY**

Jacob and Brian are terrific. Easy opportunity for them to charge for service, resulted in a diagnosis that cost nothing. If there were six stars I would award them. I will never go anywhere else in the future for transmission/clutch issues. Really nice and refreshing to find this kind of automotive repair service typically dominated by dealership horror stories.Services: Transmission, Transmission repair, Auto maintenance

This place is great! The staff are so incredibly helpful and friendly. They were very understanding in my vague descriptions of what was wrong, and asked great followup questions to understand what I was experiencing.They only work on transmissions, so they are complete experts. It's amazing that they offer a free diagnostic!When they found out what was wrong with my transmission, they explained it to me very clearly. They were also able to find an incredible deal on a used transmission to replace mine, and that plus the cost of labor was less than half the cost I got quoted for elsewhere.If I ever have anything wrong with a transmission again in the future, they'll be the first place I'll go!Service: Vehicle Inspection

These guys are top notch to say the least. They're professional, thorough, considerate and most importantly very skilled at what they do. I've been there twice now for diagnostic. They are so knowledgeable and informative that you walk out having a much greater understanding of what's going on with your car than when you came in. I would highly recommend California Transmissions in Rocklin to anyone needing transmission related work done. Wow, very honest.The ford "Stealership" wanted to sell me a rebuilt transmission for $6000. When i only needed to add transmission fluid.These guys topped off my fluid and sent me on my way-So glad i got a second opinion

Not the type to typically leave a review, but have been to California Transmissions and have had nothing but professional service.The most recent visit started with a free diagnostic and was expecting a full rebuild. I was excited to hear it happened to be a clip that was replaced at no cost and filled with fluid.Definitely not a service company that is here to charge as much as possible for any repairs needed.Refreshing to see that there are still service companies out there that are also looking out for its customers.I m a customer for life.Service: Transmission

They are the rarest type of mechanics, very high integrity, excellent customer service, honest and knowledgeable. Two of my coworkers had their trucks fixed by them, after multiple mechanics could not find the issue. I took my car to them and they looked at it for free then told me what the possible problem could be which was not transmission related. They earned their good reputation and I recommend them. A number of transmission guru's work for them so your vehicle is being seen by experts in the field. Their pricing is reasonable and they are top notch.

I had California Transmission rebuild my Jeep transmission they did a really good job and worked with me on some modifications I wanted done to my transmission. Their staff is very professional and courteous. When I ran into an issue reinstalling my transmission in my Jeep they were there to help. I am really happy with the service I received from them.

I'm a single senior female and used to being taken advantage of. This was NOT the case at CA Transmissions. Dave was honest and told me exactly what was wrong with my transmission. Nothing and charged me nothing. It was the motor mounts. How many shop owners would be that honest? Going back to have the mounts done and he's more than reasonable. He has earned my service for as long as I'm able to drive. He deserves 10 stars! **********Service: Transmission

They did a great job on my car ! . He gave me excellent advice not to keep driving it because it would cause more damage and ruin my transmission because the Leak could get worse.Jack was very helpful the mechanics were really pleasant

This place is top notch. I've been coming to this place and sending friends and family here since 2005. They set the bar for good service and people who care about your car's well being. I came in for transmission fluid and filter change and I got my jeep back sooner than expected. after the service I spotted a leak on my driveway, I was already skeptical that this leak was related to the repair they did because I know how good they're expertise is here. I brought the jeep back and no questions asked, they took it in and sure enough, after they inspected the leak, it did turn out to be a coincidental leak from my transfer case. Even though they had no responsibility to this leak they tightened my transfer case drain plug, topped off the fluid, cleaned it up and even repaired some exposed wiring they saw while they were in there, couldn't be more thankful for these guys. Angel the technician came out and got down on the hot asphalt and pointed everything out to me, good dude. I've been working in the automotive industry for the last 12 years and I promise you this place sets the standard for how a shop should operate. Thanks guys

97 Ford F250 7.3L E4OD Rebuild222,000 miles back in 2015, rebuild cost $2500, I paid $3500 installed with upgrades.Over 265,000 miles on truck now. Just sold it. Running strong. Good Shifts. Bit costly for me at time. They were fair and informative. Dropped in unannounced and they even showed me progress. Would Recommend.

I m extremely picky about my Mustang. I typically do all of my own maintenance because I want things done correctly. When it came time to replace my clutch, California Transmission came highly recommended by a friend, so I decided to give them a shot. I must say that I am very happy with the service that I received from California Transmission. Their attention to detail and pride in workmanship shows. Angel took extra time at pickup to assist me adjusting my shifter to perfection. A+

I just wanted to share my expression of gratitude to Vance and the crew at California Transmissions in Rocklin. We were from out of town when the transaxle in our car failed. We were in a real bind. Vance not only kept us informed on every step of the diagnostic, repair and road test, they even helped us out with transporting the car to a neighboring shop for a check of the suspension. The repair cost was very reasonable! Highly recommended!

A family transmission shop. They ve been in business for a long time and they were honest about the diagnosis and let me know about some possible work arounds to save a little bit but I gave them the green light to do a complete re-build of my F-150 4R100 Transmission. It s a 21-year-old truck and I am thrilled with the end result... A rocksolid transmission that feels and shifts like a new truck. Thank you Dave, Vance and the technicians over there at CT.

Our 20-year-old Toyota Tundra was making a suspicious clunking noise when we put it in gear. We took it to California Transmission, and after a thorough going-over, they determined it was only a minor issue, requiring no repairs. They were very professional and friendly ...And no charge for the time they put into it.

Took my car in for service. Thought I had a clear transmission issue. They diagnosed it for free, charged me nothing, and referred me to a different auto repair shop as the issue wasn't transmission related at all. Honesty is not dead! Thank you Vance! You are my new transmission shop!

it took 3 and a half weeks to get my car fixed. in the process of them fixing it they damaged the ball joint and the power steering module when I got my car back trunk and keyless access system did not work now it's back in the shop for acrua to fix and the pictures show how he left my floor board. what a head ache !!!

Wow!!! They really are amazing. Free inspection it was an amazing experience. I left my car there over night and they found the root of the problem and didn't even charge me. I was dreading the price but they didnt charge me at all

Took in my 2000 Trans Am with manual transmission failure, they quoted me a $2400 repair, which after looking up the parts they wanted to buy and some blogs explaining that it was a common problem with firebirds and that I could expect to pay $3000+ was very happy for the cheap repair. Car runs well!I had dropped it off knowing that it was really low on steering fluid. When I picked it up, I was in the process of doing a quick to check of it's status before driving over to a napa store to refill it. One of the mechanics who was ending his shift stopped by as he was driving out of the lot to ask me if there was a problem still, I explained that it was low on steering fluid and that I was going to head over to a napa shop to fill it. He got out of his truck, ran back into the shop and topped off my steering fluid for me.Really great shop, will definitely deal with again when the time comes for transmission work on any of my vehicles in the future.

I took my 2010 toyota for a transmission issue. They checked it tested it in computer and gave some tips to follow..they were so nice..didnt charge a penny...very honest people..Some other places they could have charged 50bucks easily...I strongly recommend this place....
