14 years - that's how long I've been trusting Scotty's with my auto repair needs. During those 14 years, they have provided oil changes, breaks, engine replacement and smog checks, scheduled maintenance on all the family vehicles ... I trust them with it ALL! I ALWAYS get the BEST service. They're honest and stand by their work 110%. I will NEVER go any place else for service on my 2011 Honda!

Back on the road!Not wanting to pay the price, or wait the time it normally takes to have my 2009 Dodge Challenger serviced at a dealership, I called Scotty's auto repair.First, I was impressed by the knowledge, courtesy and candor of Sam, who took my call.I brought the car in and they were able to diagnose several codes that caused the engine light to first appear.During the 3 day process, I was contacted by Sandy or Sam to keep me apprised of the progress of the repairs, at least daily. I've never experienced such a high level of customer care from an auto shop!I picked up the car yesterday and took it for a nice ride, pushing it a little and totally enjoyed the experience.Brian got the car running as it did when I purchased it.Scotty's not only treated me well, their prices are good and their service (customer and mechanical) is superb!I highly recommend you contact Scotty's first when you are looking to have work completed on your car!Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Smog certification

I am grateful for the honesty. Even though my issue was under warranty, they could have easily done the work and charged me. Instead, they informed me to contact the dealership because it's under warranty. Honest mechanics are rare to find. Thank you!

Couldn't ask for a better auto service provider!Came in for a pre-purchase inspection (PPI) as I was trying to buy a used vehicle from a used vehicle dealership nearby.For a great price, I was provided amazing customer service, a very thorough inspection, and very loaded information!Wouldn't even think twice about taking my vehicles here if I were to live a little closer here!Thank you to Samantha, Sandy, and Brian for making my experience amazing!

My car has not been able to pass smog for 8 months. I tried some DIY, tried a couple of different places and could never get a commitment to get it fixed right. A family member referred me to Scotty's. It was a drive for me but well worth it. Samantha walked me through every step and found the problems and repaired them with no add on's or upselling. Fair and honest. My car runs better than when I got it. Scotty's is my car repair facility and I will tell everyone I know. And for customer service and communication; Samantha is a rock star!!

Am a senior looking for a car shop that can provide the service my vehicle needs rather than taking it to the dealer. I like the customer service as I had a conversation about my car service that I understood rather than being talked to as if I did not know anything. I felt comfortable that the serviced to my car would be done well.

Sam, Sandy, and ask the technicians are really amazing. Attention to detail and making recommendations before any work is actually done. A little pricey one might say, but you're getting exactly what you pay for everytime! First I just want to point out this is the perfect place I ve encountered for any repair and car needs. All employees were very patient and informative to all my needs. I want to point out SAM is amazing and was really helpful throughout all my needs I m truly grateful for her!!! I will definitely recommend this business to any person in need. Sam and the entire crew at Scotty's Auto Repair are amazing! Our car broke down on a road trip and stumbling upon this mechanic (thanks to all the good reviews) was a game changer and gave us such piece of mind on our trip. This shop does car repairs AND smog! I was looking for a STAR smog place nearby and found this one. I went to Scotty's without an appointment and was able to get my smog done right away! Plus, friendly Karen at the front desk gave me $20 off without me having to bring in the coupon - how cool is that. She told me they've been doing this for 27 years and you can tell they care about their customers. Thank you Scotty's!

Extremely thankful I found Scotty's Auto Repair. From the moment I called them, Sandee had excellent customer service. very friendly and knowledgeable. I have no clue about cars, let alone getting my car smog checked. as soon as I walked in, Sam and Sandee made me feel welcomed and told me the entire process of the smog check and getting it sent automatically to the dmv. They asked about my day and not once did I feel rushed and was able to get all my questions in. about a week later Sandee gave me a curtesy call to make sure everything worked out with my car. that speaks volumes of their customer service. thank you everyone at Scotty's Auto Repair for taking stress off my shoulders. This is the greatest service for car repairing I ever received. I wrongly pumped diesel into my gas tank, and the car locked itself after runnng for one mile. The Scotty technician is very smart, he precisely identified what needs done, and fixed the car in one day wihtout changing any parts. The car runs as smooth as before. They provided a detailed and informative description for what have been done on the car, so I can show the report to othermechnicians in future.

Got my car towed here because triple aaa said they could give me discount on repairs. They wanted to charge $173 just for an diagnostic and stated that I had to pay for the mechanics time . I kept asking questions and Sam was completely unprofessional and rude because I wanted to know about the prices. Her exact words was THIS SEEMS LIKE ITS NOT THE SHOP FOR YOU with an attitude. Customer service is how you get & keep customers.I got my diagnostic from $95 somewhere else and my car is already repaired. Just sharing the experience I ve received from this shop.Since I can t respond to sams reply..I never mentioned getting the diagnostic for free . Nobody in the world would think a diagnostic is free . I had questions and you didn t really care to answer since I didn t immediately agree to the $173. Customer service needs improvement especially when a diagnostic is high priced. God bless !!!

My daughter had an emergency on the freeway with her wheel completely coming off the car. The previous mechanic failed to tighten the Lugnuts sufficiently and the rest is a horrible history. AAA towed the car per my request to Scotty s because they are AAA certified and the personal attention and compassion showed to me as an out of town dad of a college student was nothing short of superb! Samantha walked me through the consequences of the necessary repairs which were beyond the value of the car and suggested that I not do the repairs even though she could ve greatly benefited financially. She could ve taken advantage of a vulnerable position I was in being far from the area and having a daughter who needed transportation desperately, however she chose to be honest and even allowed me to keep the car on site at her garage for three days without expectation or compensation in return.Scotty s will not be your cheapest option by any means, but if you want to work with people of integrity Who will not suggest an endless list of unnecessary repairs, I highly suggest you give them a serious look. As for me, I d rather pay a little more but feel confident I wasn t cheated.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

enjoyed sharing my landscaping project with you and hope it gives you some ideas for your home project. as for this visit all good. last year with my other car Jeep and another shop it was failed for many items. I told the owner the testing person is wrong. this is pre OBDII and is not even equipped with a check eng light. also failed for the catalytic the number it had did not come up on computer. It was the same one passing for the last 12 years. then a hose with heat shrink tubing he called a modification. called BAR...(bureau automotive repair) arbitration results Jeep passed every thing he sad was bad. that shop was fishing for work. I even showed the schematic of my gauge lights proving no check eng light the next day and he would not pass jeep. BAR jumped in. free test. was refunded for smog test from shop and now BAR can supersize test this shop. I wish I could warn everyone not to go there that's if there still in business. To avoid this again. I will use Scotty's a reliable star auto repair shop

I have taken my two cars in to Scotty's and the front desk personnel is very efficient and helpful. They got back to me within a day with detail as to what needed fixing, if anything. The mechanics are very professional and I would not hesitate to recommend them. I received a discount because I am a AAA member and I appreciate that.

I can't say enough good things about this auto repair shop. It's extremely difficult in this day and age to find honest people . To be honest, my father raised me and my siblings as a car mechanic. He was very honest with customers. Scotty's doesn't try to deceive you into charging you for something you don't need. They work WITH their customers! The women handling the front desk are OUTSTANDING! They are very pleasant and friendly. I have even told my daughter she should take her car to them if she ever needs work done.UPDATE 3/8/2022:I don't trust this place anymore.I took car in to diagnose a problem on the car. It took 3 days to get a diagnosis and repair cost. They diagnosed the problem then proceeded to tell me multiple other problems. One simple problem was radiator cap was cracked according to them. When I get the car home I checked the cap ...it wasn't cracked!!!! They wanted to charge me an additional cost of $35 to replace. Really? It costs $13 for new cap. There were other major issues they did as well. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE THEIR SERVICE!!!! BEWARE!

Jeff was great to work with. He was very willing to answer all of my questions and gave his honest opinion about the repairs needed and the lifetime of my car. Once I gave him the go-ahead, he got my repairs done quickly and did a great job! I believe I was given a fair price for the repairs and labor needed. The parts replaced are all under warranty for 2 years and I was offered a free follow-up alignment service in 6 months to make sure that the parts all settle properly. Would highly recommend!

Ive been going to Scotties since before they opened. That's right, I followed Scott from where he worked before. 40+ years now. I've recommended them to friends and they are still my friends. You can trust them when you need your car fixed.

We were on Van Buren Blvd on our way from Idyllwild to Orange County for doctor appointments when we developed a serious oil leak. AAA asked where we wanted to be towed and we requested that they please recommend a place because we hadn't a clue. I don't have enough of the right words to express how great Scotty's was. They were kind. They were proactive. They were professional and fair. They fixed my car faster than they estimated for less money than they estimated. When does that ever happen. They made me laugh and turned what started out as a very stressful experience into a fun adventure. If I ever need another mechanic and I could get my car to them, they are my first choice. This place is great!!! Sandy is very helpful and thorough when explaining your repair, prices and options. All the techs I dealt with were very nice, informative and helpful. I asked for a courtesy inspection with a few problem areas for them to review and they gave me plenty of info on things with my car and whether they were necessary at this time. Pricing is very fair. Definitely recommend this shop, you won't regret it.

When our rental car overheated on our way to Las Vegas we had to take it to the closest mechanic shop and have it diagnosed. This is how we found Scotty's Auto Repair.To say that the staff at Scotty's Auto Repair was professional and hospitable would be an understatement.They were so attentive and accommodating I felt like, had we been stranded in Riverside Sam would have offered us a place to stay.They diagnosed the car quickly, explained that the car was unsafe for the trip.Sam documented the diagnosis findings in a way that made it easy for us to send to the car rental company who gave us the car that overheated and get a refund.Sam then assisted us to find another rental car at a special rate.

I went to Scotty's Auto Repair to get my car's brakes replaced. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. After the first replacement, there was still some squeaking, which Scotty's took a second look at free of charge. The second visit did the trick, and Scotty's was able to get my car back to me same day in both visits. Quick smog check to get my registration done with the dmv. Very nice place, pretty mom and pop. I accidentally parked In the back and walked through the shop. Kinda glad I did cause I saw how clean and professional the place was. I mean wow. I ve never seen such a well kept shop. The lady in the front was a very nice person, good for conversation and helpful. And spoke with the owner as well who was a pretty great person too, former coast guard sailor. All in all, great repair shop!

The service here is really great, I got everything I needed done + everyone was so sweet! So appreciative of the care taken with my car and the speed of it
