Great customer service. Waiting area is comfortable with TV and AC. I Came in because My check engine light was on and Javier, the owner quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced my thermostat that same day. Prices are fair. Wait time can be long but that is expected for a walk-in. End results was satisfactory. Will return again and definitely will recommend.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I am a local resident and I got to say, for my first time ever using Big J's auto repair services. I am blown away. Javier is a great mechanic. He has helped me out when other nearby reputable businesses have not been able to find the issue with for my Ford f250. This man goes above and beyond to help out the customer. He also fixed my ferris wheel at no cost, he delayed what he was doing to help me. I rarely write reviews, but Big Js auto repair I recommend.Service: Auto engine tuning

As a customer of Javier for many years. One day I had to ask him. How did he come up with name Big J. He points his fingers to his body. I couldn't stop laughing. Because he is a Big guy. There you go. Big J auto repair was born in Riverside. They offer simple to complex problem solutions such as rebuilding engines and transmission at very reasonable prices.They offer very honest and fair prices compare to others. Due to covid. My financial situation changed. But I still needed my car to go around. Having limited income and COVID on top. I asked them. What can be done on repairs on my car. Big J was very upfront and honest. He told me. Number of problems with my car which I already knew. He helped me to get repairs which were needed immediately and made a plan on how to tackle my other repairs. If he could just clean my old part and reinstall to work on temporary basis. He did that for me. Others were all either excited to make more money from me or didn't want to help. Big J was there for me. Especially when I needed the most. It is a small family business. Who were taught by good parents. Everyone works hard to earn their money so always respect others hardwork. Be honest and don't take advantage of the people who need your services. Be reasonable and figure out. What can you do to help others. Because of his big heart and honesty. Many customers like myself give him the business and knowledge that Big J brings on the table for customers. Which no other shop will do except Big J.As a customer, I highly recommend this place. You be happy that you did and become his regular customer just like many of us.

The owner of the place is really nice and friendly.. it's hard to find also. Small space too. The parking lot gets filled really fast since their other car places, transmission place, stereo, tinting place etc. I need a new engine for my car, was going to run me pretty close to $5, 000... that was pretty steep for me lol....

They take parts off your car in order to do the service. And then do not install them back on. When you confront them about the missing parts they say those parts were never there. I was looking for a trustworthy auto mechanic to use unfortunately this is not the place.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

Never been here but who ever is working the phone needs some communication skills. Couldn't even get a transmission flush quote in five minutes
