I came here at 1st Feb, The bosses were very nice and helped me replace the wipers and told me what kind of wipers I should buy next time that would be better. Very conscientious boss, highly recommended!

Helped me out. Great place for repairs. The inspection was detailed and got all the information to help me with a lemon car I got from a dealership in Fremont. The dealership is so embarrassed by what these guys found they are canceling my finance agreement and demanding the car back. Chestnut saved me from a huge headache and I also I got approved for a better car. Chestnut recommended I get an extended warranty to help if this happens in the future. Thank you and God bless

Good people. Husband wife team. Generously helped my girlfriend with her tire pressure & have done great work for past maintenance lights etc. Pricing was reasonable & related upfront.I see a few complaints about price here these people aren t enjoying tons of passive income like so many living around the shop Chris & his team are doing REAL work with their hands, not enjoying asset appreciation or passive income just flowing into his bank account. It bugs me to see financially sound customers gripe about paying for labor in the wealthy area they live. Do it yourself if you don t want pay for others time!

They charged me $215 for a wheel alignment. I was told by many of my friends that they do a great job. I installed camber/caster plates and all new suspension. STOCK SUSPENSION so nothing out of the ordinary. They finished in 20-25 minutes as I was outside the building making a phone call. Not ONCE did I see them open the hood. They told me that I didn t have camber/caster plates and then proceeded to tell me that they re not adjustable. How would they know if they didn t even open the hood?Front desk lady was super friendly and answered all of my questions.After the alignment was finished they showed me a picture of my now aligned car readings. Told me that I had a bad ball joint or something If they knew that I had a bad ball joint, why would they proceed to align my car?Overall, way to pricey for the amount of knowledge. Why couldn t the just tell me that they didn t know how to properly align my car before taking it in. I knew it was a scam after they finished in 20 minutes or so.

Highly recommend bringing your vehicle to this auto repair shop. On my way to work as a first responder I had an emergency flat tire. Shawn and his crew immediately fixed my tire no questions asked. Thank you Shawn for helping me out on a stressful situation!!!!

Great, honest family owned business. They helped me with a last minute appointment at the end of a work day, took a look under the hood and gave me a rundown of the full inspection. They cut the cost and did a few extras at no charge and told me what needs to be addressed, helping me right on the spot. Everyone was extremely friendly and there was no typical runaround being put on like you get at a lot of these shops. I enjoyed the family and employees company as I sat and waited for my car to be fixed. I will definitely be back in the future, given the need to have work done.

I was in need of a last minute alignment after getting new tires (and by last minute I mean Chestnut was closing in just an hour) and they saved the day by squeezing me in. The customer service was genuine, caring and compassionate. We inquired over the phone about the alignment and whether they could pencil us in and were kindly greeted by Shawn. After having called several establishments prior to discovering Chestnut through Costco s automotive program, we were PLEASANTLY surprised by the understanding and willingness to help that Shawn delivered. They even honored the 15% discount, as promised, for being a Costco member.The waiting room allows you to see your car being worked on and is complete with comfy chairs and fun car decor inside.The work was efficient and detail oriented, even providing a full overview of any additional concerns found on my vehicle without the pressure to get more work done.Considering I am from out of town, this was such a pleasant experience.I would highly recommend Chestnut Automotive to anyone in the area who is looking for great customer service and excellent work. I called chestnut because my car died down the street. Shawn was totally willing to help me with a jump start. Had one of his drivers Chris come out instantly. Showed up with a very helpful attitude. Overall great service!

Kindest soul I met this year. Sean helped me unlock my gas cap after mine got stuck and I was almost on E. He did all of that for free. I ll definitely be bringing my car to the shop if I need repairs. Hard to find kind souls like this around these days

Best Customer service ever!!! I came there stressed out because of rear tire nearly fell off my truck due to broken bolts. I was made to feel at home and given information which really helped. They have done a lot of work to my beloved ole skool 2000 Land Rover and with amazing results. There's no other auto repair shop I'd ever allow to touch any of vehicles than Chestnut Auto Repairs & Towing! The staff is great and hats off to Lisa as she makes sure customers are treated excellent and valued. These guys are the Best!!! They saved me when my car broke down. They were able to tow it to their shop (on a Sunday) and diagnose very quickly. The staff is very professional and all repair rates were very reasonable. I appreciate they use an electronic invoicing/approval system which is sent through text very transparent and convenient! They even included a wash before delivering my car at home! They know how to take care of their customers. Highly recommended!

I paid $120 for a tow service to take my car a few blocks away. It turns out the tow truck driver DROVE my car instead. When I asked for my money back they rudely said that they would pick up my car from where it was getting serviced and bring it back so I can call a different tow truck company. I attached the picture of the tow truck parked instead of towing my car. I highly recommend looking for a different tow truck service.Edit: I have made a complaint to the Bureau of Automotive Repair.

I needed to have a car towed on Memorial Day and called Chestnut the day before. They said most of their drivers were taking the day off so I thought it was over. (My fault for asking at the last minute!). They called the place where my car was located and negotiated th pick up the car the following day whichever saved the day. The whole transaction was excellent, including the communication.

Towed on a Sunday for bad starter. Mustapha the driver with Friendly Towing was just great. Lucky to find any place open at all. Liz and Chris here at Chestnut Auto Repair are over-the-top professionals. Multi-day experience replacing starter and AC compressor. It was a totally positive experience. I have a 2016 honda minivan and the oil and coolant started leaking a lot.I was getting engine light and other issues and my warranty company smart auto care told me to take it to Chestnut auto careThey immediately took my car in called the warranty company up and it got me the best deal they could as these repairs turned out to be quite expensive..They allowed me to hang out in their spacious office while they were working on my minivan.Shaun Chris and Will treated me like family and bent over backwards to give me five star service.Chestnut auto repair Hass to be the best auto repair shop I have had the pleasure of doing business with in Redwood City.Service: Engine repair

I went to Chestnut Automotive for repairs service because my vehicle electrical system was acting up. My car is under warranty and Chestnut Automotive advise me to take it to the dealership and dealership was booked for whole week and needed to get my car looked that day. Chestnut Automotive checked my vehicle electrical system all the fuses were ok. Information center was not working. Chestnut Automotive didn t want disassemble my vehicle because one is under warranty. Second it will be very expensive to fixed or if could be as simple is a Fuse. Chestnut Automatic charged me for what they spent to look up the entire electrical system and was honest with me to take it to dealership instead charge me hundreds of dollars for the auto repairs services which was covered under warranty.Thanks Chestnut Automotive for your services
