Reid and his team are great! I would not take my car anywhere else.My steering wheel was shaking while breaking which I thought indicated the front rotors were warped. I brought the car into the Penske Buick dealership. After a $260 diagnostic fee, Penske gave me an estimate of over $5,000 saying that I needed new front and rear shocks, new front and rear pads, new front and rear rotors, a wheel alignment, and brake fluid change. My car is well kept and only has 50,000 miles in it.I brought my car to Reid s for a second opinion and he said that estimate was completely ridiculous. He walked me through every part of that they said needed to be replaced and showed me why they were wrong. As anticipated, the real issue was the front rotors being warped / rusty. Reid attempted to machine off the rust to save some money but was unable to get it off since the rust was so deep. He replaced only my front brake rotors and gave me a brake fluid change. He saved me thousands and got it all done the same day with a smile and some good humor. Could not recommend Reid more.Services: Auto brake repair, Brakes

Reid is an awesome and honest mechanic. Hes been wrenching on Volvo's for 40 years now.theres no where else I would bring my Volvo . Highly recommend Reids south bay auto works

Reid is an awesome guy. I just stopped in there and he helped me out a lot and we had a great conversation. Hes the kind of mechanic you can trust and it shows with how long hes been there. Def recomend:)

Reid is the most honest mechanic I've ever had the pleasure of knowing...this guy will give it to you straight and if he can find a better part, price or solution...he will deliver! Love him! Wouldn't go anywhere else!

We have two 240 Volvos, a 1990 and a 1992 ~ a friend of ours referred us to Reid and he is "The Go to Volvo Mechanic". Reid is great and knows everything there is to know about our 240's. It is very comforting to know Reid is around to take care of our 20+ year old vintage 240's!

Really fantastic mechanic. He used to work on my old Toyota Tacoma and would always come in in time and with decent prices. I'm out of the area now but whenever I come back and need work I got to Reid

Over charged and took weeks to fix leaking exhaust manifold, started leaking oil from the part that he tried to fix. Took the truck back to him and he was very rude and tried to give me suggestions on how to fix it, He said that "problem was probably there before", and he would let me leave the truck to see what the problem was. Even though we took a good look at the truck before he worked on it, and called me a lair.He really didn't seem to know what he was talking about.
