Had a transmission sensor O-ring and pan leak on my Ford F150. Two different shops in Beaumont recommended J&C. Dropped my truck off at 11:30am, I had to work at 9pm, J&C had it all done by 2:30pm and at a great price! Very friendly people, I highly recommend this shop.

I had a NB2 Miata drift car. Wanted to run a 4.77 ring and pinion and rebuild the diff while it was apart. Every other shop wanted $500-750 and they wanted at minimum a week to do the swap. J&C quoted $350 and did it in two days. The car went to the track, was abused lap after lap, clutch kicks, tandem, power shifting, etc. in 100 weather and the diff never whined, chattered, or anything. Excellent work, price, and punctuality.

Amazing service and unbeatable prices. The most honest service I've had from a mechanic in months, and they didn't overpromise on what they could do or how long it would take. I just wish they did more than transmissions & differentials because the work done here was fantastic. They were recommended by several other shops that weren't confident enough to work on my hybrid. Had to travel a few cities over for this but it was worth it.

This is a fantastic place. The owner is very up front. Very honest in his dealings. I wanted to pay early and pick up but he would not take any money up front until after I drove the car with the transmission. They lady in the office I think is his wife and she is so very nice and made payment easy.I was quoted a price on rebuild but the transmission was not as bad as thought and he charged me $600 less than what I expected. I am a good mechanic and I will tell you the crew there knows their stuff and they use OEM parts and heavy duty parts. They do not take any short cuts. You get more than you pay for. Thanks so very much for getting the transmission done in a day. Another one of Redlands business treasures.

Good guy, wants the best for his clients and has a great memory compared to other mechanics I've spoken with. Is a very quick thinker so often times it is hard to keep up with him because he will get the job done before you even have a chance to think. If you want it done right and you want it done quick by someone who will answer the phone while he is under your truck give him a call!

Honesty and integrity is the back bone of J&C transmission. I was two days before by another shop I needed a new transmission $3400+. Waited till Monday an took truck to J&C, he tested, lifted, pulled the pan and found I had no filter. Flushed the transmission, new fluid, new filter new gasket and pan. Transmission works great. Thank you.

If you want a new transmission regardless of the actual problem, go to a chain store. If you want to fix the problem J & C is the place. Extremely knowledgeable. Friendly. Professional. And done in 2 days. Thanks!

Brought in my old Chevy pickup truck to have transmission work done. I had been receiving OBD2 error codes that would have prevented my truck from getting smogged. By next day after dropping off my truck owner called to explain issues clearly. He explained similar fix as I had read by doing my own research on the error codes. I had the mechanic repair the transmission. On my return trip to pick up my vehicle the owner of the shop was kind enough to show me the the issues that had gone wrong on my transmission. Cheap transmission clutch plates from a rebuilt transmission I bought from another shop just 3 years ago. He also replaced torque converter which was part of my error codes. I'm almost positive this is the same owner 12 years ago when I brought another vehicle in and had same good experience then. I've driven my vehicle for one week with no error codes and was able to have it smogged.

I recommend Rolman and this shop without reservation. He is honest and thorough. He showed us the parts that needed replacing and explained the process. The total cost of rebuilding my transmission was lower than his originally estimated, which was a plus! C & C Transmissions is a locally owned business. Excellent shop!

Rolman is awesome. He is very fair and does what he says he will do. I appreciated that he took the time to educate me as well so that I will be better off in the future. I felt like he took an extra interest in me and my vehicle. Definitely will be a returning customer... we live in the area and I have been looking for a mechanic that I could trust. Looks like we found one.

First of all, this review is way over due. Years ago I had a clutch problem in my Honda S2000. Someone recommended J & C Transmissions, so I went to see them. All I can say is I've been going back to see Rolman and his crew ever since. He diagnosed my clutch issue, gave me an option of buying the clutch I wanted and he'd do the labor. My car has been running perfect ever since. I've always had reservations about mechanics, thought most were "shady" and would "fix" things that weren't broken and so on. I know its wrong to assume all mechanics are like that, but I'm just being honest. Rolman is beyond trust worthy. When I thought I had a problem, I'd bring my car in and he'd tell me there was no problem. He wasn't chasing the money. I've brought all of my cars in for various repairs, and none were transmission related, and he's been upfront and honest with everything. Anyone I run across who needs any car work I always refer them to Rolman first. All you want from a mechanic is honesty and integrity, he's got them both nailed.

Rolman and the guys at J&C are simply genius transmission repair professionals. So far they have worked on my 1995 Camry (sparing me the cost of a potential rebuild) and 1965 Cadillac. The work done on the Cadillac was both functional (fixing leaks that have been present for years) and beautiful (I wish I had mirrors on the garage floor so I could see it more often ;). I frequently mention and/or recommend this shop to anyone remotely near the subject of transmissions: their work and professionalism is truly outstanding. =)

I cannot emphasize how incredibly satisfied I am with the service I received from Rolman and his crew at J&C Transmission Shop. I took my 2007 Mustang with 151,000 miles in because the clutch was slipping badly, and I believed the 1-2 gear syncro had failed. First to second shifts would grind badly unless I allowed the engine rpms to drop almost to idle before shifting. Rolman was very clear in explaining exactly what my options were, and what the costs would be. I decided to just do the clutch, and save up for a future transmission rebuild. Rolman then gave me several choices of clutch kits, and carefully explained the differences and benefits of each, and the cost differences. I opted for the Valeo kit, since it was the brand used by Ford at the factory. His estimate was from $400 to $700 less than I had received from shops in the Colton area. I dropped off the car at 8AM and got a ride to work. Rolman called me at 1:15 to tell me it was all done. When I arrived, Roman was about to take another car out for a rest drive. With a smile, he told me to take my Mustang out and see how it felt. To my amazement, the 1-2 grind was GONE! When I pulled back into the shop, Rolman was standing in the bay, smiling. I said "Oh my God, what did you do?" He said, "The grind is gone, huh?" I was overjoyed, apparently something in the clutch assembly wasn't allowing the 1-2 shift to complete smoothly. Rolman is a rare individual, he is an honest and sincere businessman who truly believes in doing right by his customers. J&C Transmission has a customer for life, and I will recommend them to anyone and everyone I find that needs top quality drivetrain work. Five stars across the board.

Thank you so much for your honesty! My 19 yr old daughter thought her transmission was going out. I live in NC and found J & C online. I sent her there to have them check it out. Turns out it wasn't her transmission. She was referred to another shop that can help her. Honesty and Integrity is the key to a great business and J & C has both!

The transmission in my 97 Dodge Dakota unexpectedly overheated after exiting the freeway and once I came to a stop to let it cool down I found that I had irregular shifting, slipping gears and no reverse. I performed simple maintenance to try getting it going again but I eventually found that I needed a pro. After talking to a few trans shops in the area I happened upon J & C and knew I had found the place. Firstly, this shop is clean and organized just like their website depicts. I saw cars on lifts that were owned by businesses and even saw a police vehicle. I decided to have my truck towed to his facility that same day just before he closed. The next morning at 9:30 a.m. I received a phone call at work. My trans was already removed and inspected. The diagnosis - I had a clogged trans cooler which stopped all hydraulics to the trans which then of course burned it up. He offered to show me what had happened in person if I preferred but I wasn't worried about his integrity so I asked him to move forward with his repairs. He began running a flush on the cooler and installing an overhaul kit as well as some other necessary parts. On Thursday at about noon I received another phone call from Rolman. I initially thought that something else must be wrong but he was actually calling to tell me my truck was finished. Are you kidding me? I figured this job would take a few days minimum, but he only needed 24 hours. My truck shifts like it's new again... I'm soo pleased.Pricing was fair and reasonable. Service was unbeatable! Thank you Rolman and crew!

We recently drove our 05 Trailblazer to New Mexico to attend our granddaughters 1st birthday. On our return home while bucking a headwind and pulling the grade into Grants New Mexico we lost 4th gear (overdrive). We looked in Grants for a transmission repair shop and found the only one. He was too busy to work on the Trailblazer so we limped another 60 miles into Gallup New Mexico where we found another transmission repair shop. By the time we arrived in Gallup we only had 1st & reverse. The shop ran a diagnostic and said the transmission was toast. Their basic cost to rebuild was $1,100.00, but it could run over $2,500.00 depending on what they found once inside and they might not be complete with the repair for several days, if they had to get parts from Albuquerque. At that point we decided to rent a truck and trailer to bring the Trailblazer back home for repair, which we were able to do thanks to U-Haul. The day after arriving home I got on the Internet to look for local transmission repair shops. I found several in the area, read their reviews and started calling. J & C were the 3rd on my list to call. While reading J & C s reviews noted Royce Bell had written a good review. I ve known Royce for years and know he does not hand out a good review for nothing. I called J & C and spoke to Rolman. Rolman had me describe the problem (as did the others I called) and quoted me a no-ups-no downs replacement cost with a one year guarantee/warranty. I told Rolman that I still needed to check some more shops and would get back to him. After talking to a couple more shops, I called our mechanic at Tire Pro s to see who they would recommend. Tire Pro s (Walt) recommended J & C as their go to shop.To make long story short (J & C) replaced the transmission and gave us an additional discount for being a Tire Pro s customer. J & C were not the lowest price I found, but the only shop that provided a no-ups-no downs replacement cost. The transmission replacement was completed in 1 day and so far so good.

Rolman is the most honest mechanic I've ever been too. Ford dealer told me that I needed a transmission, torque converter, trans cooler, and radiator approx cost $8000. Took my f350 truck to Rolman and he found the real problem right away and repaired it for $1100 total which included a rear seal and 2 mounts. I was ready to pay Rolman $4200 for a rebuilt trans and I wouldn't have known the difference because that was what I was told by the ford dealer. But thanks to Rolman I didn't need all those parts. Rolman thanks for your honesty and knowledge.

This Transmission shop really demonstrates Pride in its Services and Quality of work. I was referred to this transmission shop by my mechanic nearly 9-years ago and I have returned to it with two additional vehicles since then. I am 50+ years of age. I drive vehicles until they are worn out. I have had many engines and transmissions replaced since I was a kid and generally always had problems afterwards. With each vehicle I have brought to J&C Transmission, the vehicles were diagnosed correctly the first time, repaired, returned to me and I never had any issue after the repair. This is why I drive more than an hour to do business with this trusted service provider. Dealerships could learn from Rolman and his associates at J&C Transmissions. (Vehicles serviced: 2001 Lexis ES300, 2002 Chevy Tahoe 4WD, 2011 Ford Taurus.)

I have a 2000 Acura 3.5RL and have taken it to several shops over the years to find someone that I trust. The place I used to go to wanted $3500 to rebuild my transmission, Roman beat that price by quite a bit. He even hooked up his computer to my engine to read the check engine codes right in front of me and did it in 10 minutes. I have never seen a mechanic be that upfront. My old shop made wait for over a hour and a half which they "checked" my engine code. I got to give him a plus too for having one of the most organized shops i have seen. So far I have driven my car for over a week now, including a trip to Las Vegas, and the transmission feels great.Wish his shop was a full service one so I could take it there for maintence too.

Rolman was recommended to me by an employee of the City of Redlands, who is also a mechanic and has utilized the services of J&C for many years. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that a relatively simple diagnosis revealed a problem that could be fixed at a nominal cost. The local Chrysler dealer said I needed a transmission...at a cost of $5000. Rolman fixed the problem and even with a new motor mount and alternator, the cost was only $770 (and change). Rolman could have charged me for a transmission job, but did not! Highly recommended, if you are looking for a good mechanic. His shop is spotless!

Very fair and upfront about issues and what they would do. Charged a fair price compared to other shops I called nearby. Fixed other small, already known nuance issues they came across while working at no cost. Great shop, would go back.

They wasted my time on a rebuilt and told me the same thing I knew what was wrong with my car. Still charged me to tow it to them and when I picked up my car. Why were there dam oil drippings all over it. I would have expected my car to had been taken better care of. They don't care..

My truck broke down going up the San Bernardino mountains on a Sat night. I parked on the mountain pull off and camped out. Drove it down the mountain and found out everything was closed on sundays. Anyway got to my truck Monday. And went for a ride with the boss. He said there is nothing to be done but a rebuild. Its and 1987 ranger I paid 600 for and it lasted me across the country from PA. So I thanked him for his time and left. But nice and courteous. Support a stand up mechanic.

Rolman is a good man. He's honest, informative, and will walk you through your dilemma. You will not be disappointed or overcharged, or urged to have unnecessary work done. Transmission problems can freak you out and be expensive. I'm urging you to go see Rolman. You'll be glad you did. I am...

Took my 1972 Chevy to J&C because the ole girl was just plain weak. They spent some time on her, identified several issues from a detailed look through, and now she is spry and kickin'. Really couldn't be more satisfied with the life they put back into her.

We are from out of state and didn't know any mechanics. I had a clicking sound that sounded like a universal going out. I used my Garmin to find a transmission shop, drove to it and saw how clean it was in the bays. They identified the problem ( loose flywheel bolts) within 5 minutes and had it fixed within 45 minutes. It felt like at a pit stop at a Nascar race. I showed up to them close to closing on a Friday and they still hopped right to it. They saved me probably a transmission by being able to identify the problem & then fix it for under $100.00!
