Called ahead about my headlight being out and I pulled up and Juan came right out to check out and fix my headlight. Awesome job and very quick was out of there in less than 20 minutes Juan earned more than two stars. This negative review is directed at Pep Boys Juan notified me that the company automatically charges more for additional access since it assumes it'll be hard to access from taking off bumper. Even though Juan easily changed light bulb from under hood which I seen and he let me know he knew that shortcut but the system adds that on.

Louis is friendly and knowledgeable. I went in for a Lyft Vehicle Inspection and had other questions answered. Recommend this spot for what I mentioned before.

Horrible service. Scheduled an Appointment (yes scheduled) for 3pm on a Thursday. Arrived at 3pm, sat for 40 min with nothing happening, my car never moved from the parking spot. Spoke with Armondo, who went outside and yelled something at some employees, telling them to check th board. Came back in and said it would be another 10 min before my vehicle would even get inside. I did not have the time to wait, so I arsed if he could reschedule, he said yes and moved it to 3pm the next day (Friday). I arrived at 305pm to find out there was no Appointment scheduled and I would need to wait over an hour to even have car brought it. Never going here again.

Bad place, the employees were nice but awfully slow. I came for a quick wheel inspection at 12:14pm, at 2:30pm I asked about progress apparently the mechanic inspected everything else but the wheels and suspension that I asked for and left, so then I had to wait until he returned. That's just shameless I could have done it sooner myself. The only reason I came is because they have the tools and proper "experience" to get it done "sooner". I was very mistaken, if you're looking for a quick oil change don't bother.

Got charged 99.99 for inspection and misdiagnosis. And second time charged 99.99 when they could have at least done oil change and provided a service/ instead of having me walk away empty handed. Feel a bit ripped off

I took my car for check up at Pep Boys Repair Services, I think that's the new name bcuz I found out that they do service but they don't sell parts anymore, my understanding is all Pep Boys will be Service only, Luis who was the Tech who check my car was really honest with me bcuz he says that my car is in great condition and doesn't need anything, I'm so happy to find out that my car is in great condition, I'm so grateful with Luis and all the personnel as well bcuz all of them were very nice, polite, friendly and very professional, I'm definitely recommend this place 100%

I had the bad luck of being broke down within towing distance of this establishment. My fuel pump went out. These photos are pictures of how they left my van after their service was complete. Dash off, console left loose, and the motor cover left mis aligned. The tech on staff had to search through extra hardware bc they lost the hardware that bolted down the center console. They also broke the hood latch. My bill was high and the management of course refused to take responsibility for the bad service, and breaking parts on the van and hung up on me through the process. I live far away (Oregon) and offered to send pictures of proof of damage but all was ignored. I m terrified for the condition and care in which the fuel pump was replaced given all these events. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE.

Outstanding and very honest service! When I had my car serviced by the dealer they said I needed to have my brakes serviced. Then I brought it to Pep Boys and found out that there was no problem with my brakes. They didn't ask me to pay for the inspection and it saved me a lot of money. You got my business from now on!

I ordered a champion battery, and they gave me a pep boys battery. False advertising on the website and the manager said it was the corporation that they haven't changed the website to fix the false advertising. Total bait and switch. Total rip-off artist. I will never go back to pep boys and tell everyone I know not to go there. Absolute corrupted people working there. !!!

Five days ago they did work on my suspension system. I thought they had done a good job and was even impressed that they threw in a free alignment service. Today, Thanksgiving, I almost did a big road trip to be with family--good thing I didn't. My front wheel almost came off. Their negligent service could have gotten me killed.

I had to update my review for this location. The last time I was there, I needed and purchased a new car battery. Today I needed a simple flat tire repair, which apparently didn't cost enough to meet the shop's quota. I was told I needed three tires replaced and was given a quote for $695 for four tires; I checked online and I could order the same tires for $420, including shipping. After I said I was only willing to replace the damaged tire, I was given a quote of $200 for one tire. When I told the service manager I could get the same tire for $100 from the same source that I purchased the tires from (which another Pep Boys location mounted), he tried to sell me a cheap tire for $125! I went elsewhere (a reputable department store chain) and got the tire repaired and mounted for $16. I'll never go to that Pep Boys location again, and that service person should be fired! So unprofessional and unscrupulous.

Best place to bring your car. They don't take advantage of their customer because we requested to replace the brake and they told us that our brake are still good and don't need to replace.

Never used Pepboys for service and now I know why. I moved to an area of California that doesn t have much choice for service. I brought in my 2019 Promaster City van for rear brakes. Driving the van home (12 miles) the vibration on the pedal was bad. I returned the van a few days later and was told they could not duplicate the issue, but recut new drums anyway. One week later, still having the same issue, I decided to bring it back and have them look at the front brakes, thinking I m mis-diagnosing where the vibration is coming from. I was told I needed pads but the rotors could be cut. Received the van back, driving home, the issue is now much worse. I am currently at their location waiting to be picked up from a 4th visit with them. I asked for a manager and Luis wouldn t make one available and told me it could be the way I drive. Seriously?Never again .Update 8/6/23After picking up my van this past Friday, I was told that their mechanic cut the drums too much which caused vibration when heated. I was told that to new drums were replaced.Today is Monday, August 6, and I am heading to San Diego inches 180 miles from where I live. I got 60 miles out and now I m experiencing a bad vibration in a grinding noise coming from my right rear wheel, as well as a slight pressure drop on the brake pedalHands-down, the worst mechanical shop I ve ever had to deal with.

Over the phone I was given one price then I get there one mechanic totally lied on me and said I told him a different size tire but I just let it go ....I can't come to a mechanic who lies about simple things. A grown man needs to have better customer service,work ethic and hold accountability. You lie to my husband and throw me under the bus but I was the one paying for the service not him

I went for a Vehicle Inspection and was helped the second I arrived. They checked me in. Took my information. I waited roughly 25 minutes and was done. Passed my inspection. Their service was professional and quick. I do recommend.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had. I went in for an alignment left with an OIL CHANGE! Specifically asked the employee for an alignment never even brought up the word oil change. Got charged $107 for an oil change??? Didn't even get a receipt until after I picked up my car. Once I got my car back I noticed nothing was fixed thought it was a mistake so I called to make an appointment for them to fix their mistake. Went in for my appointment just for the manager to tell me that the machine was down. No call no warning.. just wasted my time. Re-schedule again. Go in and the manager kept arguing with me and kept bringing different excuses to not fix their error. Until I literally started balling in the shop from frustration..he finally decided to fix their mistake. I felt discriminated. Absolutely would NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE.

I was a customer of Pep Boys for about 40 years. This time has convinced me that all good things must come to an end. I had an experience about 20 years ago that was so bad I had to get another car. After a radiator flush on my new beetle, the mechanics at MoVal Pep Boys forgot to put water back in to the radiator and it melted all the engine wires around it as I drove home, -not making it.This time the Check Engine light came on, for only 13 hours, after hitting a pothole. Of course women are clueless according to the clerk that checked in my car. His condescending attitude was a red flag, telling me he never heard of such a thing. I waited for the real technician to find out about the light, anyway. The clerk never told me about the $99. charge just to look up the code. I don't know if they ever did, but I assumed so! I was told that I signed "permission to diagnose" the CE light, when I asked, since the credit card reader font was too ridiculously small to read it. Turned out the pothole DID loosen the "fuel box." BUT, it also bent my steering column and my alignment. It wasn't that big a pothole. The light has been off since, so ???????

Would have given zero stars but didn't have the option so one will do.Took me vehicle to replace all four break rotors. The price for each rotor in the Toyota dealer is $98 and pepboys sold them to me for $169 each. Also the break pads where over priced at $50 more than in the toyota dealer. In total for parts I paid aprox $400 more than regular price. I called to see if I could return and and get my money back but then said no. I recomend if you don't want to pay over price for parts for vehicle. Don't go to pepboys for your car service mainly the pepboys in East palmdale. According to my experience I feel you should l d take your car to the dealer rather than pepboys cause of pricing. Talked to ma ager and said he couldn't do anything and they know that the parts are over priced basically they know what they are doing.

Put headlights in my dad's car that we're so misaligned one pointed down the other to the sky! 3 hours later to fix what they were supposed to have fixed later..... Don't go near the restroom.... Absolutely nasty!

Prompt and Reliable....I took my car to get serviced to this location after being disappointed by another location. These guys found the problem ASAP and addressed it. They were very communicative and got the job done.. I would definitely recommend people to this location and definitely return if there is a need. The people are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended....

This is the third time I've come for an oil change and tire rotation this year. This is the third time they have not rotated the tires as requested. The first and second time the technicians told me they did when in fact they did not, this time they said the tread in the front was too low. I just purchased these tires less than a year ago. What a shame, I use to get such great service. Time to take my business else where.

I had scheduled an appointment for 11 am for a simple oil change on 8-14-2020, and upon arrival the service center associates did not acknowledge me when I first checked in. I had to initiate the fact that I had an appointment. I checked in around 10:45 am and I asked one of the associates for an ETA for my car. He said they were backed up so it would be within 3 hours which is understandable because of the pandemic. But if I had an appointment why would it be 3 hours??? What becomes the point of having an appointment? Anyway, around 1:30 I tried to call the store to ask for a status of my vehicle and I was hung up on. I decided to head to the store to see if my vehicle was completed and once again the service center associates did not acknowledge me when I stood in front of the desk. At this point it was 2:00, OVER the 3 hour ETA. At this point I just wanted my vehicle and wanted to finally go home. The associate checks inside the garage for the status of my car and upon returning he tells me, "I told them to hurry up it should be 10 more minutes." Okay fine. 30 minutes later I FINALLY receive my keys and I can leave. It was very upsetting that even though I had an appointment it took almost 4 hours for a simple OIL CHANGE. I will never come to this location again because of terrible customer service and very slow mechanics.
