The guy at the counter charged me $98 dollar for a check engine light inspection and said that they wound inspect everything which was a lie. he said that I had to pay them more to for a deep inspection after they inspected my car the first time. Needless to say, I am not coming back here again. If you don't know about car, don't come here, they will take advantage of you.

Visited the Ventura location today to replace a broken wheel stud but they were very busy so recommended I visit their other shop for faster service. When the stud was delivered by the parts supplier to the Oxnard shop, it was the wrong size. As soon as the owner realized this, he drove to the parts store himself to get the correct stud. This wasn't Brake Master's fault but they acted quickly to resolve the situation. Excellent service!

I had the privilege to work with Johnny, and I had spoken with Mark on the phone prior to my service. These guys are straight shooters and are not interested in wasting your time or theirs. Knowledgeable staff and they offer great services. Highly recommended.

This Place is a Joke. My Son took his car to get an alignment on Saturday and they never called him that it was ready. When he showed up at 5:07pm they said they where closed and he had to wait until Monday when they reopened. everyone was still there but the manager said they had turned off the computer already. He came from out to state to visit and get's the worst experience ever. I went to pick up the car with him today Monday and the manager was rude and kept walking away as i was trying to get information and left me talking in front of customers. this is the worst CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I wish i could talk to the owner so that he knows the Kind of People he hires. I Tried putting no stars but it wouldn't let me post.

Definitely DO NOT take your car here for brakes. I had got them to look at them to see an estimate which was 750. I was told that I needed basically everything replaced which sounded outrageous, so I went to my local dealership and they told me I only needed my front brakes changed.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

The mechanics here's are horrible they smell of beer a very unprofessional I will never come here again I do not recommend beer drinking mechanics

Got my front and rear brakes done here within a month, was told I also needed new front CV Axles, and a new power steering pump. Brakes have been squeaking for the past 3 months, they claim nothing is wrong, went to 5 different mechanics for secondary opinions and they all said the same thing, just need cv boot replacement, power steering pump is fine. If you want to pay for excess unnecessary work this is the shop for you. Manager is nice, but that isn't enough to overcome their shady practices. Found a new mechanic, I suggest you do too.

Great service! I got my brakes and break fluid replaced within a reasonable time and for a great price. They do more than just brakes at this shop. I'm going to need to replace a few wear items on my steering and suspension when my car hits 100k miles and I'll come back to them for that service. I supplied them with my own brake pads and so far my car has been performing well!!!

I brought my family to Oxnard the week between Christmas and New Year's Day from Arizona to decompress from the year, and to recharge for 2022. I had service done on my vehicle before we left and the vehicle "inspection" that was done apparently didn't reveal some significant issues. The intense vibration upon braking going down the mountain into Camarillo made me seek out help while we were on vacation. My wife found this particular Brake Masters online and we picked it due to the proximity to our hotel, and the good reviews. I called and was able to get our vehicle in first thing the next morning. Johnny was the service advisor I spoke with and he was both pleasant and professional while he was on the phone. I explained the situation and he was on it to get us taken care of. Turns out I needed both lower control arms and a complete front brake overhaul, which made sense to me. He assured me that the job would be done by the end of the day, and it was. Johnny also went above and beyond to make sure we got the best price for the work done, which I appreciate very much. Other people could have easily taken advantage of our situation. He did not. His professionalism and the work that the technician did were both top notch. We've been going to Oxnard on a regular basis for the past 14 years. The people we've met here have always been great to us. These guys were no exception. I hope I never find myself in need of automotive repairs while on vacation again, but if I do, I will be calling Johnny first. Relatively new customer here. Just have to say: Excellent service! I'll be coming here from now on any time I have car troubles. Julian and Eric were super helpful and explained everything. I was about to give up on the car, but I decided to bring it here to get a second opinion and it's all good now. I'll be going back to get a few minor repairs I decided to skip for now and I'll be driving it for many years to come! Eric & Johnny,Awesome customer service, my older model Class B RV needed a master cylinder. Johnny wasn't deterred he hunted it down like the sleuth that he is, and applied discounts in the end too. Eric, was just the guy we needed to make the necessary arrangements upon arrival! The shop accommodated my RV perfectly! No complaining about not being able to get under it in the rain like the dealer did. Eric wanted our business and appreciated it!
