Brought a transmission in to exchange for a rebuilt transmission with torque converter. Attempting to install the new trans we noticed that the torque converter had the wrong amount of bolt holes. Drove back down and they exchanged it for a different converter. This converter looked the same but having the proper mounting holes. We got the transmission in and the truck would not start. The engine will not turn over so something is not right. So we now have to remove the transmission again and get the correct torque converter. Us not being experts on transmission parts we relied on the expertise of this transmission shop to provide us with the correct parts. We did bring in the trans and converter in from the truck as the core is required so matching them should have been easy?So that was yesterday. I found out some facts today that changes things. My employee in fact did not return the torque converter the first time. I was given the wrong information on my end. After getting the correct part he then installed it wrong causing the transmission and the engine to not spin. So I apologize for posting things that were not true. Talking with the personal at the trans shop made the difference. Nice guy and knowledgeable, more so than I. Please disregard anything you might have read before I changed this. I was wrong.

California transmission in Ontario CA. quoted me a price that was over half off what I was quoted in Colorado for a rebuilt transmission at 3 different shops.So I loaded up my 08 F-150 on my trailer and drove 800 miles to California transmission.Dropped it off Monday morning and it was done Tuesday afternoon at 3pm.After all was said and done with fuel and transmission cost.I was at $2800 dollars.Was quoted a price of $4800 in Colorado. Saved about $2000 and lucky for me my buddy only lives 30 miles from trans. shop so no hotel cost but that would have only have been $100 or so for 1 night.So still way ahead of the game either way plus when I left Colorado it was -4 degreesWhen I got to California it was 73 degreesWin win all the way around.And the transmission shifts perfectly now. Plus 12,000 mile 1 yr. Warranty. Way coolCalifornia transmission you guys are my HEROS.

CA Transmission are the real deal. There are the only shop I know that specializes in GM and Chevy Transmission. I have been using them over the last five years and they have never let me down. I recently had my 2019 GMC sierra transmission rebuilt. Dropped it off on Monday and was ready for pick up by Friday. These guys are quick but most importantly they go above and beyond to build High Quality Transmissions. They make sure to build their transmission with all the major updates so that their transmission perform better than new. I would not trust any other shops. So I bought my 03 gmc to go full cam . First thing I did was take my truck to get a stage 1 with these guys ! Let me tell you JESSE is a great guy , kept me updated on everything and very reasonable with prices because before then I called other places and let me tell you there prices are crazy but California transmission is GREAT PRICES ! Got my stage 1 , Rear main seal and my mounts changed for an amazing price and amazing work . I do have other leaks but it s a project HAHAHAHAHAHAService: Transmission

Installed a transmission on 2003 Sierra 4x4 5.3L V8. It kicked sometimes on early shifts. Brake in went smooth. Under load those kicks became on time and smooth. Speed price and quality is A+

they stood by their claim and they are honest and they have integrity and quality. Their staff are very friendly and they are fair. They sold a transmission that had a problem , (it happens once in a while ) but they stood by their warranty and honored their integrity. Great service. Staff was friendly and helpful. Needed a rebuilt transmission swapped in for my Chevy Express. They got the job done quick and kept me updated. Having a transmission start failing during a busy week was stressful. Their experience and confidence definitely helped relieve that.

My transmission went out in my 05 Silverado. I called a few shops in IE area and finally landed on California transmission in Ontario. I called and instantly got a price and was satisfied. When I picked it up the customer service was excellent. I did the work myself but the two guys I spoke to gave me some free advice to make the job easier. My truck is back on the road within 3 days from start to finish. No need to wait for a rebuild. If you re in the market for a 4l60e this is the place to go!Service: Transmission

I brought in my 2000 Acura TL. They were by far the cheapest shop within 60 miles. ($1400.00) They replaced my trans and a few months later at developed a shudder when shifting between 1st and 2nd.They said bring it in. After test driving they decided to replace it under warranty.But months later the second trans started slipping out of drive. I called them but they said since the original FIRST trans mileage warranty of 12,000 miles was expired that that second replacement trans wasn't covered. That second trans had less then 3,000 miles on it!I can't recommend California Transmission at all.

Cost more then advertised. Cost more then quoted. Total of $350 over.Lucky I purchased the extra year warranty. 18mos and 800 miles b 4 the torque converter when out. They replaced it with the proof of receipt. It took 9 days due to the holiday so technically 6 days and $90 for the transmission fluid that's not covered. Lol.Update... torque converter on the replacement transmission went out cost $350 labor and $150 for the torque converter which I bought somewhere else. They tried to charge me for fluid again but I was told over the phone it was included in the $350.

It took them 4 transmissions within 3 months to get me running properly on the road. Prior to that I had bad shifts, slippage, missing bolts, loose bolts, leaking gaskets. But now just before a year from my 4th proper transmission, I have a transmission that slips and has a crack half down it. Trucks now sitting. :/ Jr was nice and was able to try to fix it every time without charge, just couldn't get done.Service: Transmission

Called a few places and the lowest I was getting was $4000 for my transmission on my 2014 GMC Yukon. Searched and found this place. Jr priced me at $2175. My vehicle has been running perfect for the past few weeks now thanks to them.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

My 04 GMC Envoy runs smooth and shifts like a brand new truck, it's been at least a year now since the repair, I take it offroading and on long trips with no complaints whatsoever. Price was good, turn around was good, 5 stars for the warranty and service.

Having any auto problems can be a nightmare. Looking for a dependable & trusting mechanic that's not out to rob you in unneeded repairs & great service knowing your getting the best quality for your money, well I think we all have those concerns. I needed my transmission replaced & went online & found "California Transmission". I spoke to a guy named Jr & informed him on my situation & my brother needed it back asap for his dialysis treatment. Jr confirmed & reassured me that the truck would be ready within a day & a half so it wouldn't affect my brothers treatment. Let me say, Jr is a man of his word. Ladies we all worry about being ripped off, but if you have any questions or concerns about a service or replacement of your transmission.....Dont be, call & talk with Jr & he will give you an out the door price & you will not receive any surprises when your vehicle is ready. I highly recommend "California Transmission" for all your transmission needs or service. They do amazing quality work!!

I have taken multiple Hondas and Chevrolets to California Transmission. Every time I have had excellent service and turnaround time on my cars. The transmissions they install have all been running good for the last couple of years and I haven't had any issues.

Purchased two transmissions so far. Both 4l60's , the first one worked great. Took a little longer than expected to get the torque converter squared away but it was an uncommon application, so that is to be expected. The second one had a problem with no reverse..in most cases this would be a big hassle however i brought it down and exchanged it out no problem for a second unit which worked perfectly. For the price and convenience this place can't be beat. I would definitely recommend them if you're looking for a GM trans. Junkyards want similar or higher prices for a used trans with 150k miles. Looking forward to purchasing my third trans ( Honda ). Thanks again.

Called about five transmission shops for my 2005 Cadillac Escalade, price ranging from 1200 to 2500...pretty much everybody does the same thing.....hesitant at first because it's the cheapest price compared to all. But after talking to Ismael he explained to me the process and what they do, which only transmission and a lot of these GM transmissions....took about two days because they were busy, but its done.......Ismael seems to be a really good honest person that doesn't give you any BS......thanks Ismael!

I have a 2005 Chevy Tahoe that is my pride and joy. Once I hit 160K I started to have transmission problems. My Avalanche started slipping between 3rd and 4th gear and within a week it was completely out. I looked all around for someone to fix my transmission for a good price, most said they would rebuild it for 2200, took my chevy Silverado here and thay put in a a brand new, i say brand spanking new one not rebuilt for 1000 dollars. And did it in 24 hrs. I am verry pleases and gratefull in the speed on wich they did it and for a great price.

Definately recommend! I am from Texas and transmission blew on my 07 Avalanche as soon as I got to Ontario. They had it ready to go by 3 days ! Also for the excellent price of $1300 ! Made it back to texas in it with no problems ! Still shifting great ! Thanks guys !

They took care of my S10 pickup extremely fast came in one day within 4 hours they already had the diagnosis of the new transmission, that's all they do is Transmissions, with A2 year warranty unlimited mileage. They are the best
