My partner and I were scheduled to stay at Palisades Tahoe Lodge from March 1-4, 2024. We paid over $2,600 for lodging and were very excited to stay and ski at Palisades. We booked our trip through our American Express card.A little less than one week before our trip, we saw that a massive snowstorm was on its way to Tahoe. On February 26, we called Palisades to cancel the trip because we knew that the storm would prevent us from driving up to the hotel. Palisades refused to refund our money, citing their 14-day cancellation policy. As the day of the trip drew closer, we tried every day to persuade Palisades to refund our money. Even Palisades Lodge staff told us not to travel up to Tahoe, yet they refused to refund our money. We still have not received the money despite the fact that we never stayed in the hotel. This was a much anticipated trip and not an insignificant amount of money for us. As a result, we won't choose Palisades Tahoe as a ski destination in the future.

Everything was pretty much closed it was snowing on a Tuesday, so that was kind of disappointing, but beautiful little spot. Great for pictures.

Incredibly mediocre hotel. Probably only good for staying at during the winter. I am here for a friends wedding @ Squaw, otherwise I would definitely not stay here. Shops are expensive, there s no lobby or place to work if you wanted to, the rooms are also not A/C d which is tough for the summer, finally it s just crazy expensive for what it is. Not worth it.

I have safety concerns when I m here. There s always broken stuff, trash and broken glass and cigarettes on the playground. Gives off neglect vibes. Staff said they res not enough staff to maintain the village anymore and it s on the vendors not the resort operator to do that. Northstar still pays people to maintain their village better it seems and I feel safe taking my kids there. The amount of litter at this ski resort ruined my experience.

The best part about this hotel is the staff, absolutely amazing! Super courteous, kind, fast, and professional. Example: I recently realized I left behind a shirt in my room 5 months prior and they still had it and shipped it back to me! The staff had logged the shirt in their lost and found system, associated the record to my room details, and were able to find it once I asked. Just one example of the high standards and great people here. Special shout out to Tori who helped make that happen! Highly recommend staying here

They told you the check in time is at 4PM. However, the room is not available at 4, they say maybe an hour more. After you enjoyed the whole day ski, you have to stay in wet and cold for another hour. Very disappointed. It looks they don t have capability to make your room ready as they promised.

Quaint shops and elegant condominiums abound at this world class ski resort. The optics were held there in the early 1960 s and they have nicely blended architectural styles of yesterday and today. A lot of the shops were closed, in assuming because I visited off season on a Saturday.

It hurts me to actually give 5 stars to this development that has swept away so much of the historic feel of Squaw Valley. Having grown up in this Village, it feels awkward to walk through the pristine racks of high-end clothes and shiny things... But, the people are so kind and there is a need. I hope the balance stays healthy!

My family and I took the via feratta and our guide Dustin was very friendly and chatty. This was the best via feratta I've ever been on, with an amazing view. Two and four hour tours are available.

The look of the village is beautiful. So many different choices for food and shopping. Would recommend to go for the day, but staying in the lodge overnight is awful.
