I recently purchased a pair of skis and bindings from Olympic Valley Ski and Bike, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. As someone who recently recovered from an ACL surgery, safety was my top priority when looking for new gear that would compliment my ski ability. The staff at Olympic Valley Ski and Bike listened carefully to my concerns and wants, and took the time to recommend several options that fit my needs.What really set this shop apart, however, was their willingness to let me demo the gear before making a purchase. This allowed me to get a feel for the equipment and ensure that it was the right fit for me. I ended up buying the gear that the staff recommended most, and it has made a world of difference in my skiing experience.The staff at Olympic Valley Ski and Bike are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and their commitment to selling the correct gear is evident in everything they do. Plus, I had the pleasure of meeting their adorable dog, Klondike, while in the shop!Overall, I highly recommend Olympic Valley Ski and Bike for anyone in the market for ski equipment. Their personalized approach and dedication to safety make them a top choice, and their friendly staff and adorable shop dog are just the icing on the cake. Five stars all around!

I took my 60 year old Schwinn to them. They found issues that made the bike unsafe to ride and helped me find a place to get it fixed. They were helpful, patient and fun to spend time with. They gave me great service and their costs were fair. I highly recommend them and will go back to them.

This place is off the hook! They have a super helpful staff. The coolest shop dog (Klondike) During these current times it's a very safe shopping experience.

This place is the shop you want to visit near Palisades. Their demo fleet is awesome. They've got all the skis (Atomic, Moment, Line). Tons of brands that other shops doesn't have available.They're also that place that will get stuff to work for you. I needed new pole baskets are went to a handful of shops that only sold certain brands or new stuff. Mike's had a bin of baskets they were willing to jam on and see if they fit.Really down to earth, real people.

Amazing ski shop. I've driven by this shop hundreds of times and finally needed binding mounted. Super helpful and friendly staff. Met the owner and his dog too. Just a great "old school" ski shop with all the cool stuff.

Integrity. My family rented ski equipment for my daughter and all I ask is for the guy in the store to set up my daughter for skiing because this is not my sport. I like archery. During the ski set selection, my daughter chose a less expensive pair of skis. I walked around the store to shop. Later, my wife gave me the invoice for the rental deposit, but no copy was offered or given to me. She asked how much the rental fee was and I didn't check. I just trusted the store to get it right. So, don't most of you do the same? When we returned the skis I saw the same salesman, greeted him, and set the equipment down where he asked me to put it. He took a look at them, glanced at the receipt, asked me if I wanted it and gave it to me. When I returned to my car, my wife wanted to see the receipt. "They overcharged us over $50" she said and returned to the store for a refund and got it. The following day, after returning home, we talked about this incident. clearly, this salesman should have noticed a discrepancy when he wrote the invoice or after he looked at the receipt and equipment (which I saw him do). He deals with these products all day, for the whole season, and for years (I've seen him in the store). I'm saying to myself, "do I have to check my invoice every time I rent here because I might get swindled? This guy knows his prices.." I expect to be treated honestly and fairly like everyone else should". My wife had a separate conclusion, "how many people are being overcharged like this?" To conclude, I don't expect to return to this store because the people here will overcharge you when they can get the chance.

I've had so many great experiences here lately that I'd like to give accolade to the great staff and wonderful selection at this extremely convenient store. From renting skis, demoing, buying skis/bindings, jackets, goggles and gloves - they have always offered the best service and helpful attitudes.Just today Scott helped me find a solution to a glove issue that went above and beyond my expectations. He and everyone working there has the best knowledge of snow sports and they definitely take the time to talk to you about anything youre curious about. I will continue to tell all my friends about the great service!And Klondike is the best store dog ever.

We were visiting the area and planned to rent bikes from another store who's website said it was open and so did the door but no one was there to help us. We called Scott and he let us know the trail went all the way up the canyon. He helped my family of five with bikes, helmets and a trailer. Everything was well maintained. Scott gave us a lot of history of the area. It was a great experience.

This place is the best! Small, locally owned, friendly, helpful, Knowledgeable staff and very timely. Nick is a genius and helped me with a tricky binding problem when other shops had told me not possible. Thanks!!

Bought tons of stuff here helmet, clothes, multiple skis mounted and tuned/stoneground. Techs are good, even did a great job repairing some rock damaged edges on a pair of skis. Over the summer we've even rented some bikes here. Great local shop highly recommended.

Appreciate it is independent and am grateful for those stores.The guy who had hurt his leg was delightful and gave kindest honest most helpful service.I didn t get the same feeling from the other person- ironically get the guy who hurt his leg to help

Integrity. They quoted their price for ski tuning but said I should pay in the morning because they don't know what the technician would charge in addition for a base repair. In the morning, they charged us more than agreed upon for tuning. Stay away or make sure you have everything in writing.

Everyone was so friendly it made my East Coast self say, what is going on here? Service was timely and quality. Rented skis boots poles and helmet, something like $50 for the day. Good quality even at the rec rental level. Didn't plan on doing demo cuz it was my first day out. Would come back again

Bad experience at this place. No disclosure on how pricing works. Quoted one thing and it s something else upon checkout! Beware of this place. They will talk you in circles on pricing from one day to the next. My friend and I both understood one thing when we left and it was different on checkout day. No offer to help explain or smooth things over. Will not rent here again. I would suggest sticking with the larger establishments in the area less price gouging.

As a local, I am beyond impressed with the level of service and quality of this shop!! Whatever you need, they have the expertise and passion for the mountains to get you fully equipped in style. Loving their demo selection and service of my old boards. Storefront is unassuming for the wide variety inside

Fantastic service, low prices, and a great location. We did a 2-hour rental and had plenty of time to make our way to Tahoe City and back. We loved riding along the Truckee river - definitely will be back next time we re in the area.

SHOPPERS BEWARE. RIP OFF. Owner does not stand behind their products, does not care about customers. Also no employee mask-wearing or ventilation in the store. Context: I went in to buy water with my daughter, browsed helmets waiting for clerk to acknowledge us and ring us up. The store was empty of customers. I was curious about a bike helmet. Was told it was a great helmet and trusted his word, but was fitted quickly and apparently incorrectly for it. Wore it across the street and it popped off my head. Tried to exchange it. Was turned away and told to call the owner. Pretty unusual way to deal with an exchange for a properly fitting helmet. The owner was quick and impolite on the phone, told me because of Covid he couldn t accept it back. * very inconsistent and unintelligent reason for a store that showed no acknowledgment of practicing Covid compliance with their customers.* So basically I have a $100 Laser helmet that doesn t fit. More likely to hurt me in an accident than help. They are clearly not customer-focused. Save yourself a total headache and save your money. And side note (bc I was considering a new helmet for my 4 yr old as well)- they are currently selling kids Giro helmets for $20 more than Giro prices them. Feeling ripped off. My mistake was- I should have just stuck with buying the bottled water. But since the store was empty I saw that as an opportunity to learn more about helmets and getting properly fitted. What I learned was just stick to the plan and don t take advise from people that pretend we aren t in a pandemic.

I never write reviews but this place is seriously the best! All their employees are so helpful. I rented boots and a snowboard from them and then due to some unforeseen circumstances I was unable to use them. I went back, and explained the situation to Mike s and they were very understanding and gave me a full refund! I would definitely recommend this place! Thanks Mountain Mike s! :)

5 STARS for Scott and his very professional team@ MOUNTAIN MIKE'S SPORTS!Wow, what a great place to rent or shop for bikes and skis/ snowboards and accessories. I ended up buying a Bosch E-bike from Scott after renting one. Everyone there is very professional, helpful and happy ~ including Klondike, Scott's Siberian mix dog

The people who work here are so wonderfully nice and there usually isn t too much of a line. We ve stopped renting in the Squaw rental place and always just go here instead. And getting to pet their beautiful house husky doesn t hurt :)

Workers of the store are not following covid guidelines. The place has no ventilation AKA a small enclosed germ box. The workers were without masks eating lunch within the store near customers. The main guy at the register talks to customers without a mask. Their ski shop is fine but I m not going back because of the poor customer service and lack of covid protocols.

I did not get the gentlemen's name who was there this last weekend, but he was super helpful and gave me his attention and time. They have a wonderful selection of used skis and season old skis for a wonderful price! Go here!

Got the most arrogant service I have ever gotten in a ski shop in my 30-years of skiing, regarding boot size and ski type. Not sure if the guy had a bad day or what was going on. The cherry on the cake was that the guy forgot (or left of purpose) to adjust the other binding, so that I had to go to another shop at the top to have it taken care of.

What a great experience. We went to rent bikes. They were closing early but still let us rent and return after they closed. Will be back to rent again and can hardly wait to demo skis in the winter
