My truck search expanded well beyond CA when I first saw the listing at MCM. Although it was 1,000 miles away, I decided to call. I m beyond glad I did and I was super fortunate to have Matt answer my call.Over the next few days we worked out a deal, got my financing in order and decided I d drive to Grand Junction for delivery.Then, Murphy s Law kicked in, the same truck, same price, same mileage, one model year newer popped up online an hour from me. We called, made an appointment, and went to see it. The salesperson and staff were terrible compared to Matt and MCM.Next day, we drove 13 hours to pick-up my new, 2020 F-250 and the experience continued to be one of the best car buying processes I ve ever been a part of. 5 stars. Much gratitude. Recommend MCM to anyone from anywhere!!!-Todd

For many years Russ has worked on my cars ranging from engine work on a Toyota Camry, to a rotisserie restoration of my classic Jaguar Roadster. He is a talented and honorable craftsman with a vast knowledge of automotive repair and a successful history of rebuilding classic automobiles; foreign and domestic. His shop is clean, well-lighted, organized, and has never overcharged me. Sure, once you get into repairs, they sometimes require more than first estimated, but I have never been disappointed by any of his work, or felt overcharged! Russ always provides estimates and bills in writing, accurately, and on time. When reading previous unsatisfactory Modern Classic Motor s reviews, be aware that certainly one (maybe all?) came from an unsatisfactory employee who Russ needed to dismiss.

Be warned!This is a shady business run by Russell.First, he was a very unprofessional, untrustworthy, and shady character that makes bad mechanic stereotypes, a fact. He berated and argued with us for questioning his work, and worst, overcharged for parts by a factor of 4 and more than 3x the time required to get the job done. We continuously asked for proof of work, hours, and parts, and he'd claim he filed it away.Second, the work done is of poor caliber and quality. Things came loose, reused worn bolts, etc, and spent time priming and painting parts, when replace or rebuild was appropriate.We found ourselves having to send our car Russell worked on, to another mechanic so to 'fix' errors and issues that was supposedly fixed, introduced, or rebuilt. For instance, like timing. Seriously? And to think he charged numerous hours to do just that, and even then, the belt was loose and the timing was incorrect. Hint: the timing belt was brand new and installed by Russell! All he had to do was adjust the distributor cap.Another instance: We did more work than needed to rebuild our motor. He claimed excessive wear, thus re-bore the engine was needed. reality: Nope. The car just needed new pistons, valves, etc.You get the idea.The best part of our business relationship with Modern Classic Motors was when we got our car out of that shop, to get it done right!

If you got more money than brains this is a spot for you. If you hope to get your vehicle completed in a reasonable amount of time and have it be reliable this is not the spot for you. I unfortunately used to work here and I would not let this guy touch my car for free let alone pay him to do anything

Is this idiot still in business? He held my car hostage, charged way too much and I had to have another shop fix the work they did. The front wheels were so loose they were about to fall off. But at least it took 10 times as long as it should have. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.
