Had a very nice experience at Kia of Marin today. First time getting my car serviced there. Had a major service done and the experience was 100% professional and courteous. Thank you very much to Eddy the service manager who was so friendly and helpful. The car was finished two hours ahead of schedule and Eddy communicated with me in person in the waiting area and by phone throughout the process and when my car was finished. The customer service was excellent and everything you would want in a service department. Thank you and I'll definitely return.

Thank you Julio! First class! I got my Kia Niro last December from Kia of Marin. I usually dread car shopping because of the sales pressure and not so straightforward approach. Julio and everyone at Kia were very helpful, kind, and gave me room to breathe to make the right decision. Michael was also helpful in returning my call promptly for time sensitive matters.I highly recommend Kia of Marin.

Unprofessional sales team. They dismiss conversations around pricing below MSRP. When I mentioned price comparison with other dealers, their response was dismissive and unhelpful. Opt for other professional Kia dealers within a 50-mile radius who value customer interactions and are willing to negotiate.

It s a waste of time to shop online here. I was working with Devrie to pick up a car listed available for sale. All I asked was to let me know as soon as I can pick it up. Originally, I was told the car would be ready in a couple days because it was almost out of the shop. However, ultimately, I was given the run around for 2 weeks with updates that the car wasn t ready yet. Finally, I called in again only to find that Devrie went on vacation and that the car was sold yesterday . This was such a bad experience. If Kia cannot update customers when a car is ready, they could ve said so instead of wasting time. This was really disappointing.

Recently, my car broke down as I was leaving San Rafael. I alerted them that I was having my car towed in so they could assess the situation. Sharon the manager worked with me and they shuttled me to the Smart Train Station so I could get home to Petaluma. Sharon kept in touch with me by phone and email to let me know about the repairs. I had purchased an extended warranty when I purchased the car from another dealership and I was unaware that I was supposed to go there to have the warranty honored. I didn't find out this until later after Sharon had spoken to them about the repairs needed. Through her efforts, I was able to get a waiver to have the repairs done there. Without her assistance I would have been out over a thousand dollars for the repairs. I was able to get the repars done in a timely manner and I was kept informed of the progress every step of the way. I can't thank Sharon and her staff for the excellent customer service which I received. I would recommend this service department to anyone seeking excellent customer service for the care of their Kia. They made my day.James C Mobley JrPetaluma

Kia of Marin did extremely poor brake fluid flush on my vehicle when I did a test drive there was too much travel on the brakes and they were too soft and delay in braking . Prior to work they promised me they could do the correct work on this regenerative braking and not leave air in the lines. I had to report Kia of Marin to Department of Transportation because they did a poor job with my brakes by not by not bleeding the brakes. They returned the car to not guaranteeing their workmanship this establishment this poor work and says they can do work that they can't do. When I asked to talk to manager and insist correction they threatened me with law enforcement. Horrible people.

I purchased (3) three Kia Soul from Eric that is one of the best sales person I know. Eric always keep me up to date on all the new cars. I also love working with Eddy in service. Eddy is the best when it comes to getting my car service. I come from San Francisco to get great sales and service and can only get that from Kia Marin.

06/03/23. PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. I came in to look a vehicle I saw online. I met with the salesman by the name of HUGH and had the most weirdest encounter I ve ever had at any dealer. Right off the bat HUGH was not very interested in giving me the time of even though I had called previously to look at the car. As a person who works in business I ve never met anyone this sour. Shame on HUGH

Brought my car in for a second recall. The first time I brought it to San Leandro and after their front desk service was the rudest least helpful I ve ever encountered, I decided to try marin upon hearing better reviews. The mechanics seem to be the ones manning the front desk as well as doing the work. They were so helpful so, polite and did a great job on my car. Will return for other services.

Service department scammed me telling me they could perform brake fluid flush but later charged me more because brakes are regenerative braking. Tried to call and cancel service and only perform oil change. Car returned to me euth travel on brsjes , poor braking, poor service attention from Jeff and Eddy. They need to be bled. Now uts dangerous to drive when I thus establishment promised to return braking in better performance. Reported them for fraud with department of transportation.

During the pandemic, when car supply was tight, they made me a lease deal so attractive that I got two KIA Niro the same day. Service has been easy to schedule on Saturdays - a win for me.

I just leased a new car there last weekend and everything was so easy and smooth. Compared to every other dealership experience, Kia Marin was kind, not pushy, gave me a great deal, and had me out the door fast with an amazing car I love. I talked to Brandon in person, and a few other people over text as well, all of whom were great to deal with. Definitely would go back and recommend to friends.

By far the best Kia service department in the Bay Area and I ve been to all of them. Despite being slammed the day before thanksgiving, the service reps were calm, collected and friendly. Not to mention they caught a noise coming from my AC after removing the cabin filter and fixed it free of charge. Can t say enough good things about these people!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience here. Brent made the shopping experience simple and pressure free, and even in the finance office, everything was as chill as could be. I was in and out in about 3 hours, and that was with multiple test drives. I walked away with a new car and a new go-to place for future auto needs.

My car issues were covered under warranty, which was nice because I didn t have to pay anything. The dealership also washed my car, which was super nice. They also have a shuttle service to and from the dealership to your work or home, which is great.But I m giving 3 stars because the customer service was not good at all. Which is a bummer because the place is nice and has nice amenities in their waiting room.

We had an excellent experience purchasing our Seltos from Brent at Kia Marin. Car inventory is low right now and Brent did everything he could to find us a vehicle that fit our needs and budget. He s very no-nonsense and searches for best options rather than try to sweet-talk you into something that doesn t fit. I highly recommend stopping in to see him if you are in the market.

My service experience at this Kia location was genuinely the best I've ever had in my whole life. All of the service personal were incredibly helpful, didn't pressure me into a decision, and took the time to explain exactly what they were doing to my 2018 Niro. Previous reviews bash the waiting room, but to be honest that's BS. The chairs are clean and comfortable, there were snacks, water, tea and coffee, and they even offered me a vacant desk so I could get some work done. To top it off, they surprised me by cleaning and vacuuming my car. It was well worth the drive out there on my day off to avoid the common hassles and personalities at a busy dealership on the weekend.

Good experience with my car purchase but beyond that extremely dissatisfied with the way they run their business, especially their service department. I have come in for all my scheduled maintenance there and everytime I ask how long it takes they give me a time double than what I was told over the phone. I'd understand if it happened once or twice, but literally every single time. To top it off they give out loaners when they feel like it. They have told me numerous times they don't go e our loaners for minor work but somehow the lady behind the counter was nice and changed her mind and gave me one to use instead of sitting in their waiting room for 3 hours. Instead of trying to squeeze $35 out of me for a car rental why don't you just hook people up, especially if they purchased a brand new car from you have only come to you for services. Think long con, loose out on $35 so you can get thousands out of over time in service and repair. I think I'll go check out Kia in Santa Rosa and see if they treat their customers a little better.

On a recent road trip my Kia Niro suddenly broke down and they were able to get my car in for service right away. A big thank you to Eddy Alvarez who took care of everything and followed through every step of the way. Thanks to this great dealership with excellent customer service, I was able to get right back on the road. Would highly recommend!

Purchased a new K5 from them in January. There was a hiccup with the pricing I was quoted vs. what I was being charged when we were closing out. They made it right after a litltle back and forth. They were also late on our shceudled appointment for the pick up. I get it, things happen that back up the day. As a gesture to aplogize for the error and delay they threw in a pair of promotional tickets to a Warriors game, which I thought was very nice. When I went to the website to redeem the tix and entered the promo code, I received a message that the promo code had already been used. I called the dealership to find out what happened and I was very rudely told there's nothing they can do. When I mentioned it felt like a bait and switch, they curtly told me that they would make a call and get back to me. To their credit they resolved the issue quickly and made it right. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite of many of the reviews on here. You read about sharks in the car sales world, and I am afraid my experience of this dealership is exactly that. From the "market adjustment" stickers in the windows of the vehicles through to any inability to talk straight, I did not have a pleasant or reasonable experience.I will not be wasting my time here again - there are far more pleasant experiences to be had at other locations.

Worst experience ever , I bought a car over 3 months ago still I don t have my license plate yet , I called DMV they don t have any record of the car , I called Kia Marin many times, they never return my calls .My Temporary registration is expired . Don t waste your time not worth the over pricing cars .

I walked out with the car I wanted, however the paperwork was a disaster. The car was put under my husband's name, I'm second in the title. My husband and I repeatedly told the guy, it's my vehicle, my loan my everything. I just want his name on the title, you know AFTER my name. I guess because I'm a female, he couldn't do it! I only care because well A) I'm buying the car, it should have my name first and B) it caused issues at the bank.They also got our mailing address incorrect even though we pointed out the mistake and was told it's fixed. (Luckily we have nice neighbors who brought over the paper work, you know the title, when it was delivered to them instead of us. )

Sharon in Service is WONDERFUL! I was pretty upset and flustered today after learning that the Irvine dealership (where I bought my car) had neglected to include a KIA Soul wheel lock with my spare, which meant roadside service couldn t change my flat tire. Sharon PATIENTLY explained what a wheel lock is (I m old, and a widow who relied on her husband to do car stuff ) and that she had a solution. I had to have my car towed from Tiburon but Sharon soothed my choppy seas and arranged for a resolution. She even told me I actually had FIVE covered oil changes left after Irvine said I was down to one. I always felt like the Irvine KIA dealership was trying to take advantage (one oil change turned into $892 in not-yet-needed-or-approved services) of my situation.I recently moved from Orange County to Marin and I hope the Novato dealership treats Sharon as nicely as she treated me.

As of now I am very upset but I am going to see if Team Kia Marin can turn this around.I brought my 2015 Kia Optima to the service department (Sharon) to get some brake work done. I have never needed any work done on my car as it s still very new. She said that in order to address the all of the issues properly I would need to spend roughly $1100 on brakes pads and rotors & 2 new tires. I asked if I could do less and be okay but this was their recomondation. 6 weeks later same problems still exist and now they are saying my brake fluid caused damage to my new rotors and they need to review it further.I do not understand how you put a car in a professionals hands and they do not replace the brake fluid on a brake job! Isn t that like the first thing you do? I am hoping they will fix the issue for me but it sounds like they are going to consider the brake contamination my fault for some reason.Another review will follow.Thanks- 1 star.

Sharon always goes out of her way to go above and beyond. She always remembers where I live and knows how far I have to drive to bring my car in, so she always gets me in first thing in the morning. In addition she always asks about my family and how I m doing at work.If she s not sure of something she immediately asks someone who does, and finally Sharon owns and resolves any issues personally without escalation. As an OPS manager for Marriott I have always been impressed by her skillset. KIA is smart to keep her up front where she can openly engage with customers. She is truly first class!Jeff the store / dealership manager is a straight shooter who really knows what he s talking about. He has always been fair and accommodating at every turn. These two are what keep me coming back to KIA Novato time and time again!
