Jay is easy to work with and an overall great guy. He helped me out when my catalytic converter was stolen and gave me a great price. Had to bring my car back a couple times until we could figure out why the check engine light kept coming on. Passed the smog test today! Yay! Super grateful for his help and kind attitude. Thanks Jay!

To start this off, Jay seemed like an extremely nice guy. I came to him because I needed to get a catalyst code fixed by replacing the catalytic converter. I was moving to college in a month and he explain to me that we could replace the back catalyst and possibly pass the code and that it d be a much cheaper option than replacing the front.He showed the part to me with little explanation aside from it being less costly. His labor costs were absurd. He explained that it would take less than an hour and yet the labor was over 200$. After replacing it, my catalyst code never went away and I was notified by him to drive it 500 miles then come back. The code still never went away. At that point i was out of money and I come to find out through a financial assistance program that Jay had replaced my original part with an illegal part. He failed to notify me that it wouldnt be able to pass the smog AND that my car only needs a manufacture based part. I was frustrated, out of money, and out of time.I understand that it s my responsibility to be knowledgeable about the issues in my car, however, I also expect more out of a well known catalyst specialist.Jay seems to follow the common stereotype of mechanics: money hungry and willing to take advantage of those who don t know much about cars.

Muffler and resonator delete went super smooth. Very chill guy, and it's a one man shop. Gotta give him props for the custom work he does and the amount of time it takes to complete. Was in and out within the hour. Don't even think about other shops, Jay is the man for it all.

Jay is a true professional. When I got my first truck 3 years ago, I took it to jay to get a new muffler. Every single one of my buddies recommended him. He did a flawless job on my muffler. He saw how excited and curious I was and invited me into the shop to watch him work on my truck. I was so inspired watching him do his job. He was so kind and my truck sounded amazing. I have and will always recommend Jay to anyone wanting to get their exhaust done for a fair price and a professional job. Do you like a car that actually sounds like a car? My mechanic recommended Jay for a small repair to my tailpipe hanger, and my husband independently recommended Jay as well. Good reputation! Jay was on time for my appointment, and he was very personable and seemed highly competent. He had me out of there in 10 minutes, and at a great price. Highly recommend Jay to anyone looking for an honest and knowledgeable exhaust specialist.

Jay is awesome. My dad had his cataytic converter stolen from his car and Jay took care of him very quickly with an OEM replacement and for less than half the price that a dealership quoted us. I recommend Jays to everyone. I never write reviews, but because Jay deserves 10 stars, im here to recommend him to everyone.

Went to Jay when my muffler fell off of one car and then when I had to get a cat replaced. He did both at a very reasonable price. Would recommend to anyone I know and love in the area. If I were anywhere in the Bay Area and needed a fix, I d be going to Jay s!

Jay is awesome! He repaired my exhaust pipe that was damaged and recommended an exhaust for my car to get it quieter. Or he can help you make it louder if you want too. I will be going here again! Fast, friendly and fair!

Recommended by Steve Lite of Steve's Auto Care to install a protection device on my Prius, Jay was great. He got me in as soon as the part came in and took only one-half hour to complete the installation. His shop has a very cool metal sign over it. Check it out!

My family and I have been using Jay's exclusively for years. He does all the work himself and does a great job of it every time. He is quick and knowledgeable in his profession. Most of the time, an appointment is not necessary. He's a nice guy too........I highly recommend him for all your exhaust,muffler and cat. needs.

Jay has been my go to guy for over a decade. It wasn't until I went elsewhere that I realized how good I have had it all along. Whether you just need a new cat, or a full custom exhaust, he is your man. I have had 3 of my cars exhausts done with him, two cat back and one nightmarish header install. While I know the header was a pain in the @$$ for him, he still did it, and a decade later it is still running and sounding like a champ. If you are looking for an exhaust shop, no matter what your needs, STOP! Don't look any further. Jay is an example of what a small business should be. Top notch work at reasonable prices and that ever elusive factor of honesty. Matter of fact, I just got a new car yesterday. Gonna go see Jay tomorrow. . .

I m a Petaluma resident looking for muffler shops that gives a reasonable price for what I wanted to with my car which is a 2017 Volkswagen GTI. For a muffler delete with keeping the stock/original muffler tips, I paid $160 for a muffler delete. If you want to get some of their muffler tips designs, it s another $50. I have a new muffler shop to go to now! Thanks Jay!!

Young guy but he knows what he is doing. Very friendly and very easy going. Came in needing an exhaust tip welded on the muffler on my bike and he took care of it right there. No more than five minutes. Great place if you are looking for custom exhaust or exhaust installation.

Had an amazing experience here. Went to the shop just before closing time and he still managed to replace my cat in 30 mins. Solid job, very skilled shop, great person to talk with and overall great experience. 10/10 would recommend.

Jay is very good in what he does. I've been shopping around for an aftermarket muffler and was unable to find the right guy to do it. He's got five star from previous Yelp review, so I called him. And right away, he already knew what needs to be done. I drove off from Vallejo to Novato and it's well worth it. He's a very nice and professional.He's got all kinds of aftermarket exhaust right there in his shop. I came in with a specific product in my head but he let me listened to other mufflers before installation. It was great. He's got better one than the one i originally planned. I drove off knowing that i picked up the right one.His price are very competitive cuz i've been shopping online.The best thing about this guy, he did the work by himself while i was waiting. He customized every pipe. If i'm allowed to give another star, i'll give it to him.Me and my 2000 bmw 540i were so grateful. The 540i was rumbling and breathing freely on our way home.

Highly recommend Jay's Kustom Exhaust, for all your exhaust work . I have had 3 vehicles worked on there and never a problem , good location and I don't mind traveling the 25 - 35 minutes
