I was referred to Sebastian by a coworker for his fair reasonable prices. However, that is not the case. He overcharges and will do other repairs without asking and charge you for them. Please make sure you get a quote before dropping off your car.I stopped by his shop to see if he can see why my AC wasn t blowing cold. While there he did a quick inspection and noticed I had an oil leak. I come back a few days later to drop off my car and asked if he can also install a pair of inside door handles and a metal parking brake clip that I purchased. Here s the mistake I made. I didn t ask how much it would cost since I figured his prices are fair. I ended up paying a $2900 service bill.$1053 oil leak repair (replace oil filter housing, oil cooler gasket, coolant hose flange and oil pressure sender), $240 to replace door handles, $264 to replace brake clip, and $60 for AC service. When picking up my car he mentioned I should replace my lower control arms and replace the brake fluid. He said it would cost about $700-$900. I took his word for it and left my car another day. Next day comes and I m charged with a $1300 bill. $722 to replace lowers arms, $233 for oil brake replacement and bleed and he went ahead and did an $180 oil change when I clearly told him not too. He apologized and said he did it because it was due. He also replaced the cabin filter without my consent and charged me $156 when I do that myself.I can be passive and non-confrontational so I just went ahead and paid. Out of curiosity I asked how much he would charge to install a BMW electronic steering wheel I plan on ordering. He said he ll hook me up for the oil change and cabin filter I didn t ask for.About a month later I drop off my car with the steering wheel and asked how much to install a digital cluster I bought as well. He couldn t give me a price since he never coded one before. I clearly told him to call me and tell me the price before installing. 4 hours later I get a text with video showing the steering wheel and cluster successfully installed. No mention of the cost. I get there to pick up my car and get charged $506. I asked what happened to the hook up and he said the steering wheel installation was free but to code the cluster it was $350 and $150 to install.By no means do I expect a hand out. I will gladly pay for a service. But the whole point to go to an independent mechanic is to not pay the premium price the dealerships charge. Sebastian charges more than the dealerships. I pay $120 for an oil change at the dealership with a free car wash while he charges $180. The dealership also calls and tells you the cost before working on your vehicle. The next day I drove to 2 different independent BMW mechanics and asked for a quote to install and code the digital cluster. They both said no more than $250.Important to note, he s wearing an arm sling and doesn t have full mobility of his arm. He mentioned he was injured and had surgery. There s 2 workers at the moment helping him out. I m assuming he s overcharging to pay them. I just wish he was more transparent with his prices and inform his customers of the costs before he begins work. I feel ripped off. I still wish him the best but I won t be back.Edit: about 4 months later and my AC stopped blowing cold. Will call different independent mechanics to get a quote.

Where do I start? Sebastian is the most knowledgeable, honest and professional mechanic I've ever encountered. One of my former bosses recommended him, after getting ripped off by other mechanics and I can only say: I trust Sebastian blindfolded while walking on glass without wearing any shoes.He goes above and beyond to fix any mechanical issues your car might have, even shows you the parts he removed, fixed or changed, and never tries to upsell you or add any additional services; he is upfront, reassuring and always positive.Comparing to previous car maintenances or services, I know his pricing is beyond fair and reasonable for the amount of work and time he puts in your vehicle.Sebastian: You are a pro and an artist! Sebastian is the only mechanic you will ever need in your life. Honesty in this industry is extremely rare to find and I know I can trust him to do what is best for my car and my wallet. The man is knowledgable and will let you rest easy knowing that your car is in great hands. He will be the only mechanic that will ever touch any of my cars going forward. My 335D is in great hands and he even had it washed for me!

My father referred me to Sebastian's shop, and I have to say I am more than happy and satisfied from both the people and the service. Sebastian was more than happy to inspect the vehicle as soon as possible and provide an A-Z service within a couple days. If you aren't familiar with auto repair time-frames, a couple of days is record fast. They use only original parts (unless requested otherwise from the customer). In addition, Sebastian & his employees were more than happy & willing to answer any questions I had, or explain to me the problem in simple to understand terms. Last but not least, the price was beyond reasonable. If I had taken my car to the dealership, it would have taken them twice the time and triple the price for the same exact work Seb's auto wreck performed on my vehicle. I prefer Sebastian because he personally works and oversight the job at hand. If anything happens in the future (which it hasn't yet), he knows exactly the work done, by who and when without going on the computer and checking the logs then sending you to station number 21 to wait for the mechanic that barely remembers what he did to your vehicle & never saw your face.Overall I give Seb's auto wreck a 5 out of 5 stars for customer service, 5 out of 5 for labor and parts, and 5 out of 5 for reasonable prices.Thank you Sebastian for all your help and service! Sebastian really is one of the rare mechanic to find these days. He is earnest, professional and also very customer oriented - he came out on his off day to finish repairs so that I can pick up the car on weekend. Not only he has skills to rebuild engine but also has refined sense of diagnosing problems. He has contacts to source difficult to find parts directly from Europe as well. I trust him.

Don t Bother Going here to Seb s especially if your vehicle is not a European car I don t recommend either way ! Take to a real mechanic somewhere better they are Expensive for nothing mostly labor charging with no output and seems they know it all but they don t ! Did not fix vehicle kept vehicle for weeks and did not follow up they are too overcrowded trust me and accept so many vehicle at once. When I got it back vehicle ran worse than before they didn t even test drive to make sure just assumption such a shame ! Also customer service is terrible !

Frankly, one of the best experiences I ve had with a mechanic. Sebastian was honest and very transparent. He also did a fantastic job replacing my engine mounts and struts as quickly as possible. He was accommodating, easy to communicate with and certainly, affordable. I plan on bringing every car I own to him to be serviced. Highly recommend!Service: Auto maintenance

What can I say? A friend of mine introduced me to Seb when I had car troubles in the valley during 2020. Seb was nice enough to talk me through what he thought was the issue even though I ended up taking it to the nearest place as my car had broken down on the freeway. I knew from that moment he was honest, fair, and definitely an expert of his trade. Flash forward to 2023 I had an emergency coolant tank leak that wouldn't hold fluid for more than 30 seconds. I had to leave it at a local shop in MDR because it wouldn't make it home. They later quoted me over $3000 to fix the problem. I immediately called Seb and he was able to pre-diagnose it over the phone. I had the car towed to the valley knowing it was the right decision. He examined the car, identified the problem as he expected, and fixed it for 1/3 the price that was quoted!! And he discovered another problem which he said could wait, but since I was a bit behind on my 60K service, the next week I took my car to him for the service and the repair of the other part and he did a beautiful job, showing me the parts he replaced (they seemed obviously old and in need of change). Since we were there, I convinced my husband that despite the distance from home, Seb was the guy who could finally fix the myriad of issues he had spent THOUSANDS of dollars on to fix at a sampling of local shops, NONE of which fixed the problems, among them the AC, a shaking idling, and brake system (forgive me if I'm forgetting the rest of the list). Needless to say, Seb accurately diagnosed some rather complex problems with my husband's car, fixed them, and then when we discovered something wasn't exactly right, he took it in and fixed it right away! He is the first guy in YEARS to get it right! 5 stars all the way! I am so impressed, he knows his stuff and it's blatantly obvious from a simple discussion with him. And he's humble and friendly, someone I'd be happy to be friends with outside of work. I'm grateful to have found such a gem in tough town to get quality mechanical auto work done! Where do I even start? A good friend introduced me to Sebastian. He is the most honest and knowledgeable mechanic I ever met! He brought my car back to life, from being literally put to death by other mechanics ! And believe me I went to many of them in this Los Scandalous town. He is fast, honest, affordable and friendly. took my baby to the best person I could have gone to. Seb was recommended to me by my boss at work and I couldnt beloeve my boss was absolutely right. Seb is knowledgeable, oversees all the work done if he's not doing it, and his price was the best I could find

Sebastian was nice and professional. He changed out my 2008 BMW's headlights, grills, and some valves/gaskets under the engine. All the services were completed in a very timely manner. The headlights had an issue after, but he was quick to fix it the next day. Great customer service and pricing. I hesitate to leave a review because when people find out just how good these guys are it will get busier, good for them, bad for me! I had the pleasure to bring my Porsche for a bunch of stuff. They fixed it all and the car runs better than ever. Jeb, the owner, seems to be a fantastic person. He isnt greedy, he is honest, he is very capable. His crew are the nicest and brightest I have seen in a long time. I don't review often but after being a past mechanic, I can see this shop is everything I would want. Such a great job both with what they did but you can also see they have great character. That's something missing in so many shops. I will be back for sure. As long as Sebastian continues to work in Los Angeles, I will only be using his services. He s worked on multiple cars and even helped with my motorcycle, and has always delivered quality service.He ll let you know if additional services are recommended and never do anything without having first received consent.

I was recommended by a friend, Sebastian did a great job in my 2004 M3, he told me that my car needed work replacing the rod bearings and rebuilding the Vanos, overall the work Sebastian did was great, I can feel the difference in my car. I would greatly recommend Seb's Auto Werks to anyone looking for great service at reasonable prices.

Sebastian is a great mechanic. He is very knowledgeable on all cars, new and old, hybrids, gasoline and Diesel engines. He fixed my Mercedes 300SD very well and at a good price.I will definitely work with him again.

Unbelievable experience from start to finish from Sebastian. I drive a 1982 Mercedes that I hold very dear to me and Sebastian went over the car with a fine tooth comb and the car is driving better than ever.Extremely reasonably priced, honest, and informative throughout the whole process.Could not recommend higher!!!!!

I bought a 2006 BMW motorcycle that wobbled and had power issues. It also had a nasty rattle at startup. I brought it to Seb and he discovered all sorts of issues that the previous owner hadn't dealt with, from clogged air filters to spark plugs that had never been changed. He even checked the bolts on the frame and found many needed tightening.Needless to say, Seb did a ton of work at a very reasonable price. He was extremely knowledgeable about BMWs. The bike left the shop feeling much safer to ride, had significantly more power, and sounded much better.I would highly recommend bringing your fancy vehicles to Seb if you want great service.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Body & Trim, Engine repair

Seb's Auto Werks is the absolute best! I brought my car in to have all new brake pads installed.The work was done quick, and I saved alot of money versus going to a dealer. Sebastian is a top notch mechanic and I look forward to using him for all of my future car needs. He's the best!

Previously took my car to another mechanic that I ve been going to but the issue wasn t solved. I was recommended to Sebastian by a friend. Not only did Seb fix the issue, he found 2 more errors that the previous guy didn t find! Seb is a people person, he gives updates while he s working on the car and he even called me a week after to check in if everything was still working fine. Will always bring my car here from now on.

Over the last couple of weeks, they completed two majors jobs on my older BMW s. 1977 BMW 320i complete engine and transmission rehab, both were taken out of the car. This job was done with outmost care and precision, took care of all issues that an old car from the 70 s could have:)1971 BMW 2002 swapped the transmission, 4 speed to 5 speed. After feeling like another place was quoting me something outrageous, a friend recommended I try Sebastian. I was able to show him my other estimate and he got all the parts I needed, branded new, and had my car fixed later that day. It not only saved me money, but he showed me each step of the process - photographing & taking videos of my old and new parts and walking me through the work that needed to be done right away and what I could wait on. Highly recommend and will be returning when I need to!

If you re looking for a reliable and knowledgeable mechanic that specializes in European cars yet won t nickel and dime you, Seb is your man. I ve taken my car in on two different occasions and Seb has gone above and beyond both times to make sure everything was running smoothly. He even follows up a day or two later to make sure it s still running just as it was when it left his shop. I live in East Hollywood, but haven t found anyone from there to Santa Monica that takes better car of my car, so I make the drive and hang out at the local shops and eateries while they work on my car Because he s that good.
