I had a really good experience here. I have a 2019 Mini Clubman and I was worried about finding a mechanic that had experience with Mini Coopers, but this garage eased my fears. I contacted them via Yelp and they sent me a quote. I followed up with a phone call at which time they were very responsive & courteous. We texted necessary information to one another and they ordered the parts needed for my brakes repair. When I arrived, they were prepared to work on my car and gave me a timeframe for how long it would take. They called me within the given timeframe and charged me the estimate he previously provided. I plan to go back to them for any future Mini repairs and hope they treat me as well as my first experience!

Hello, Henry P here, I can't say enough good things about Alex and Value Auto Repair, he has come through so many times and has been literally a lifesaver for me and my car woes. He has consistently and accurately diagnosed and repaired multiple cars for me and has been always straightforward and honest while providing outstanding value and customer service with above average turnaround time. I used to think to be hesitant about advertising my 5 star review because I might get pushed back for service but this is the least I could to in return for the excellent communication, and quality service he and his team has provided for me and my family! In this day and age where it is more common to be taken advantage of, Alex is not one of them to do that, and I am always surprised to hear how patient he is communicating with customers and is thorough in responding to any questions. I always talk about how rough it is to find a good doctor, dentist and mechanic, and I count myself lucky to cross paths with Alex and his business in auto repair, I don't know if he ever gets tired of hearing me describe him as a lifesaver but that's what he's been for me and my vehicles, I can't recommend him and Value Auto Repair enough, thanks for everything Alex!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Value Auto Repair's exceptional service. I had been having brake and wheel bearing problems for quite some time, and I had taken my vehicle to several auto repair shops in search of a solution. Unfortunately, none of them were able to identify the issue and provide a suitable solution.When I brought my vehicle to Value Auto Repair, their skilled technicians were able to quickly diagnose the problem and inform me that my brakes and wheel bearings were faulty. They were able to provide a detailed explanation of the problem as well as an accurate repair estimate.Throughout the entire process, the Value Auto Repair team was also extremely friendly and professional. They kept me updated on the progress of the repairs, including photos, and were able to complete the work on time.My vehicle was running like new when I left Value Auto Repair. The brakes and wheel bearings were in perfect working order, and I was able to drive with confidence once more. I wholeheartedly recommend Value Auto Repair to anyone in need of dependable auto repair services. I stopped in to ask about a car issue I had.The employee at the front desk, Nacho, was super helpful with my issue and recommended a business that could assist me. He was super friendly, courteous and respectful.I would recommend this business to anyone having an automotive problem of any type.

Great service and honest mechanic. I've had 2 cars repaired by this auto shop. This last time I provided the mechanic with the parts and he was able to get me in and out in 2 hours. Will be recommending to friends and family.

If I could give 20 Stars that wouldn't even be enough. Alex customer service speaks volumes about how he runs his business and the awesome reviews that he continues to get. He is honest with over the top Fair and does an excellent job. Even better he guarantees warranties and does a test drive with you before he lets you leave. Definitely old school ethic and quality workmanship. I found my new mechanic

They did a great job! Easy to work with and have great recommendations. Prices aren't too extravagant and very fair. I had them install an A/C compressor that I bought online. They were willing to install the compressor for me while other shops did not want to because it wasn't a product that they sell. But I'm happy they were willing to regardless because it saved me a lot of money.My original quote from ANOTHER mechanic for my car to have AC fixed was around $1300-1700 depending on parts and they insisted to replace the entire ac and its components.I knew that my compressor a/c clutch was no longer functioning so I bought a new compressor online for around $250. They installed that and recharged the system for around $400 so all in all very satisfied with their service and willingness to work with me. $600 for parts and labor was way better than 1300-1700. Now my A/C works again! Time will tell how good of a quality the compressor is but overall no leaks so we know they did a wonderful job! Recommend this shop for your auto service needs.

Exceptional work ethics, amazing service, completely honest and simply the best value and attitude ever! Believe it or not, I got my service done for less than 10% of the price that the dealership was going to charge me. And the functioning of my car was clearly as if it were a new car after the service.One would think if the service expense is low, it probably isn't correct service. But turns out that isn't true, the dealerships are just charging people extravagantly because of people's innocence. Give this place a try and I'm 100% sure you'll come back to leave a 5-star review here.Again, simply amazing service! Absolutely nothing to complain!

I have been going to Value Auto for a couple of years now. I have an old Honda civic that constantly has leaky gaskets and oil issues. Needless to say, i have been here several times. I've been to other repair shops in the area (prior to finding Value Auto) that have wanted to charge obscene amounts for the repairs. Value Auto ALWAYS gives a fair price and great service. Alex and his team are so kind and helpful and never pressure you. It is rare to find a shop that is so honest and trustworthy.They always go above and beyond to give exceptional service. Alex is the best. If you're in need of a trustworthy mechanic, bring you car here and Alex will take good care of you. He is not only honest but very nice to all his customers. Brought my car for an oil change and he fixed scratches on my car after hitting a pole free of charge.

The best mechanic experience I've ever had. Everyone knows that finding a new mechanic is a nightmare because of trust, but I went to these guys on a whim because of their reviews, and by far it was the best mechanic experience I've ever had. Alex is super cool. When you talk to him, it's like talking to an old buddy you haven't seen for awhile. He kept me updated, sent me pictures, and most importantly was super friendly and trustworthy. Go here and you wont regret it. THE REVIEWS DON'T LIE!!!!

Absolutely the best auto service I've had. Alex is totally transparent about repair or maintenance work that needs to be done and what the cost will be. He sent me intermittent screen shots of the work as it was being performed. Every repair is fully documented and justified. His cost of repair is very reasonable and he performs the work competently and efficiently. I will entrust him with all of my auto repair and maintenance work going forward.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Electrical

In regards to reviews for car auto repair shops, I don't write reviews till the work's been done and I have seen that the repairs have held through the test of time. I had my shocks and struts replaced here for a 1999 Honda Accord at $1,500 less than what Firestone would charge me!!! Alex the owner let me buy my parts, where Firestone refused to let me and said only their parts could be used! Over a year later not a single problem! I sent my mom in to get her brakes done a few months later and nearly a year later not a single problem. I also took my Buick in for a pre purchase car inspection and asked Alex the owner to point out everything wrong which he did within 5 minutes just by looking at the engine. He didn't make one misdiagnosis. After that I took it to the Buick dealership who told me the exact same thing that he did for $100.00. Bottom line this place does great work, the work holds, and they are honest in what is said that needs to be repaired. The prices cannot be beaten or the quality of work so far that I have found in San Diego in my 40 years. I've also been in and out of there for tiny here and there are repairs that I've also held and advice. Never have I been ripped off or LED astray with advice from Alex or his mechanics. Bottom line this place is honest and can be counted on in all the ways that matter!

Alex is a very genuine person with a big heart ,to make my complicated situation easy to understand - I bought a car 2 months ago from a dealer right next to his shop and the AC has never worked ,the dealer sent me to their mechanic and I have been dealing with them ever since ..I ve took my car to them a million times (leaving me with no car all those times) and they never get it right. Finally the dealer referred me to Alex at Value Auto Repair ,after a few days of consulting trying to clean up the mess that the original mechanic has done Alex was very honest and told me AND the dealer he would feel it s better to let the original mechanic finish the job which I totally understand and I greatly appreciate his honesty but that s not even the best part. The most amazing thing is that this man let me borrow one of his cars while mine is getting serviced somewhere else ..no he didn t rent it to me or ask for anything in return he just let me barrow it and for that I am VERY grateful. Thank you Alex ,you re the best !!!! I would recommend everyone here just because he is a great honest person with a kind heart.

Alex (owner) is seriously the BEST! It is so hard to find an honest mechanic. First, my car was flooded and when I called he immediately said to call my insurance company and take to the Audi Dealership, which was advice I did not even think about.Since then I've taken my car for an oil change AND recently the water pump went out. They are fast, reliable, and affordable.I highly recommend!

Alex is seriously great. He gives honest and reasonable quotes. If he knows how you can get a cheaper rate from another mechanic, he'll refer you. If it'll save you money to get a part and bring it in, he'll let you know. He's very friendly and his staff works fast!

Alex is honestly the best mechanic out there. Very honest, professional, hard working and fair. He has worked on my BMW and there is no one else out there I would trust with my car. I had originally gone in there for an oil leak and he was able to find the problem for me. Turns out it was an error from another mechanic where we had previously taken the car to before and we also got the oil change done there for a affordable price. They did a great job! I would come back again for any other problems and oil changes he seems like a great and honest man.
