McCloud Falls is amazing! Definitely worth the stop. The lower, middle, and upper have fantastic views. The water is cold, clear, and sounds amazing gushing over the boulders. The lower and upper sections are mostly paved and have nice picnic areas and facilities. The middle section is dirt and rock with some stairs a little more moderate terrain, however, the middle section has probably the most spectacular views!

Absolutely beautiful area. The Falls don't compare to Burney or anything of that sort, but it's a really nice walk to go from each of the upper, middle, and lower falls. Both the upper and lower falls have better parking lots with river access. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth going to all three of the falls.

All of the McCloud Falls spots are gorgeous, although after making the trek from the Lower Fall to the Upper Fall, I think the Upper Fall was my favorite. The water was absolutely raging at the top, and was awe-inducing to watch (and the overlook spots are a-plenty here, and a few even give you a bit of a cool vertigo sensation due to their angle down towards the water). A quick few minutes on a paved path from the parking lot, but I definitely recommend the hike if you're up to it.Price for entry: $0

Gorgeous falls!! Easy access, easy walking paths, bathroom -Be aware that the turn off of Hwy 89 doesn't have a lot if any references to Upper and Middle Falls - but take the exit for "Lower Falls" and Fowlers Campground- then turn left on the Upper and Middle Falls road.

Upper McCloud Falls is a charming, relatively small waterfall that flows into a deep pool. It plays second fiddle to Middle McCloud Falls, which is by far the prettiest waterfall in this area, however it is a worthwhile stop. The asphalt pathways are well-maintained and there are several overlooks, with various vantage points. You can also hike down to the bottom using a steep, dirt trail. We visited at the end of September, and only saw a couple other people. I understand it gets fairly busy on Summer weekends. Also, be sure to investigate the river upstream as well. There are several beautiful spots worth seeing.

There's an upper middle and lower falls they're just outside of McCloud on highway 89. I have been going here since I was a kid it's definitely a must see. The upper and middle falls are beautiful always seem to have water in them. The lower falls is great it also has a swimming hole where you can jump off the rocks into the water that's very deep even with the water low I asked one of the guys if it was really deep he said he doesn't know he hasn't been able to touch the bottom. There is camping nearby picnic areas and barbecue pits. And it's not too far from the ice cave and medicine lake.

A beautiful & powerful experience. Very Clean and easy hike for beginners. Most of the hike is the road.. It was closed for logging when I was there. Taking care of all the burnt trees

+ The parking is super close to the lookout points!+ There is a partially paved path with railing that leads into a dirt trail between the middle and upper falls that looks down on them.+ There is a steep incline path near the upper falls if you are able and willing to go down to get into the water.+ The middle falls has a better longer trailer to get down to the water.+ Though the upper falls, the rocks it cascades through prior to falling, and the pool it creates is beautiful.. the middle falls is much more grand and better to visit and engage with.

The upper section of McCloud river offers one of the most picturesque scenery in the area. The trees here seem to change at quicker rate to a vibrant yellow and orange over autumn. You can't really interact with the river unless you go out of your way, but there's quite a few good spots to enjoy the view. The trail back down to the mid portion is recommended as it has that wonderful pine, moss, and outdoorsy scent that's needed to complete the experience.

These falls are absolutely beautiful. Getting to them was very easy too. I would ve to have swam in them, but unfortunately couldn t. Oh well. Plan to come back next year so we definitely will then. They were worth the pictures though.

Nice waterfalls to view. About 5 minutes walk to the falls from parking lot. Not much of crowd and things to do other than few angles of viewing the gorgeous falls

Mccloud falls -lower middle upper - is about 30min off I-5 and south of Shasta. The total out and back hike to all 3 falls was ~4miles and took us about 3hours with kids. We started the hike at lower and worked our way to middle then upper. After middle the trail climbed up. One of the spots was very narrow with a sharp drop so we were extra careful there with the kids. You can walk along the rim to where the falls drop and see how the water has eroded the rocks before plunging down. This falls like lower is visible from the top (near parking area).

Super cool area! Three falls around here, lower , middle and upper. Very busy place, but great way to spend a day. People were swimming and diving off the falls.

Okay to park and check out. We needed to go down to the water level for better angle. We parked in lower picnic lot and walked up roughly about two and a half hours round trip, taking our time with pictures and playing!

Just beautiful!! Flowing especially hard due to all of the snowmelt. Make the trip, it's worth it.
