Avoid this nightmare of a shop at aaa�all costs!! TAKE IT FROM ME, I LEARNED THE HARD WAY.Perhaps this alone would not be a huge issue, but it's only the tip of the iceberg. This shop had my car for weeks (which is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa�aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long for the initial repair my vehicle needed). Yes, you read that right, the plural form of week. As in more weeks than one. For WEEKS they had my vehicle, but oddly enough, dispite having so much time to repair my vehicle properly, thats not what they did. Instead, they broke other things in the process of their whacky attempt to repair my vehicle, and they also cost me unnecessary money. Rude.This shop assumed that i wanted an aftermarket oil cooler vs. a genuine oil cooler, and so once the aftermarket cooler was installed, the oil sensor didn't work. I then had to pay for a genuine sensor as well as the labor to install it. I never authorized the use of any aftermarket oil cooler. Had i been included in the decision-making on that part, i would have definitely chosen to have a genuine oil cooler installed. So, also rude.This shop also gave me a laundry list of components that "need repaired/replaced," such as the power control module, the filler neck in my gas tank (wants to charge $1200 for this repair alone), and the actual gas tank itself.Nobody calls you to update you on the status of your vehicle, and if you call them, you'll be told that they will call you back, and then they never call.To top this whole fiasco off, they parked my vehicle ON THE STREET! How do i know this? Well, my husband and i live near this shop, and we drive past it when we enter/exit CA 67 going to and from our house daily. One friday night, about 10pm, my husband and i come home after a night out, and as we drive past this shop to get to our house, right there, out on the street, infront of the shop, is my vehicle. Well, that was the last straw. I was @?#$%&! furious and had decided i'd had enough of this clown and his circus of . Needless to say, I picked up my vehicle the next morning and took it a mile down the road over to Lifestyle garage. If you want honest and competent technicians that provide superb customer service, go to Lifestyle garage! The techs at lifestyle discovered shoddy work done by this shop. And guess what else?- None of the components this shop said needed r&r. actually did need r&r. Not even one. I also found out, when this shop replaced my oil cooler, he disconnected my evap hoses and they were found smashed and crunched up under my intake manifold. This shop also broke a pigtail off of my knock sensor and said absolutely nothing about it. This shop also didn't put the under carriage cover back on properly.Most definitely a negitive experience from every angle.This shop absolutely sucks at what they do, and if I could give this place a negative 10 strs, I absolutely would without hesitation.Moral of the story here is: DO NOT. DO NOT. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT, BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER. I hope this review saves someone a lot of unnecessary b s. as well as some money.

Ramon is awesome. Whenever I call last minute to see if he can look at something in my car he never hesitates to tell me to bring it in. I am happy with all the work they have done to my car. I know my car is being cared for and I trust them. I recommend them to a lot of people. Ramon does a lot for Lakeside and he is a great asset to our town. Their prices are more than fair. Thank you Ramon and Staff

Ever since this shop got a new owner it has been better! I take my car here for any problem and they do an amazing job, they have amazing customer service!

WARNING!!!! Save yourself time, money, stress and headache. The owner is highly unprofessional, rude, dishonest and doesn t know what he s doing even though he claims otherwise. Take your business elsewhere. He just slapped the truck together, refuses to fix his mechanical mistakes, refused to compromise, yelled and cursed at me. Now a more honest and experienced mechanic will have to fix it which will cost even more money. I would give Lakeside Auto ZERO stars if I could.

These guy's are super nice and extremely helpful. My ac went out and they were able to help me the same day and help me with my breaks.super efficient honest and friendly. My new go to

BIGGEST SCAM. THE OWNER IS A FRAUD. WILL RUIN YOU CAR PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE. I AM SUING THEM FOR THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS.... REAR ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS.

My car's A/C did not work and I went to this place to have it checked. After spending some time trying to identify the problem the owner told me his opinion about what the problem maybe without knowing for sure what it is together with a diagnosis fee without even diagnosing the issue for sure and because it was getting late he said I can come back another day again to fix it. So, basically I was not even given an exact quotation about how much it will cost to fix it apart from some vague guess, and I told I will not pay a diagnosis fee for a problem that is not identified for sure with the cost of fixing it and I never experienced something like this before. They did not inform me of any diagnosis fee at the beginning and the owner got quite aggressive telling me I should not come back to this place again if I do not pay for the diagnosis fee and I said of course I won't be back again. For a possible diagnosis fee to be paid the client must be informed at the beginning about it and at the end there must be a clear diagnosis for that fee and not a vague guess of what the problem might be.

Totally recommend! I came into the shop today for an oil change. I was helped out quickly. Staff stopped what they were doing and finished the job within a few minutes.

If you are looking for an honest fair and affordable mechanic this is the place to take your vehicle.Ramon the shop owner is one of the most awesome guys I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I highly recommend his shop.Thank Ramon my air conditioning works great

I had my 1.8 toyota hybrid engine replaced here which is an extremely sophisticated job. My engine runs like if it is new. No weird noises and reasonable pricing. I would totally come back for more maintenance.

Though me and this fellow don't hang out much he's one of my best friends and he's a good man and I've noticed many people go there to try to make him angry on purpose to damages business I'm here to tell you he's fair and he is great at fixing cars He rebuilt my Hyundai engine and it runs like a race car this is a good mechanic this is a good man and I'm giving everyone orders that keeps harassing him stand down or go to jailServices: Transmission, Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, Auto glass repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Body & Trim, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Oil change

Unprofessional, untimely, and incomplete! Service was delayed several times and it took several months to "complete" the work. Dishonest, incompetent mechanic. Will have to take it to another mechanic because of the poor job. AVOID!!!

Not sure what s wrong with the owner but got chased of his property when I wanted to check if he did the work he was hired for on a friends car. Stay clear of that business.
