This is the absolute best auto shop around. I take my Honda Fit here and my parents take their Toyota Highlander whenever it needs servicing. Michael and Lazarus are absolute pros. It s a family-run business, which I love. They treat your car as if it s their own. I ve been going for years. It started with just a smog check for my Honda and now my dad and I both use this place for any and all repairs and servicing. Michael explains what your car needs in a way I can understand. My dad and I are so happy that we found this place and we re never going anywhere else. A truly honest and supportive shop with people who absolutely care about their work and about your car. I can t recommend them enough! Simply the best service out there. Seriously, if you re reading this, bring your car here.

If you're in need of a trustworthy and dependable mechanic, your search ends here. I recently moved to Irvine and decided it was time to fix my car issues after three long years of delaying repairs, also I needed to do the dreaded fist smog check on my 2016 Camaro. Despite multiple visits to the Chevrolet dealership and two other mechanics, the persistent check engine light remained, and the mysterious clock reset issue persisted. I was informed that a new catalytic converter might be necessary, and a complete car disassembly was recommended to address the electrical clock problem amongst other things.I stumbled upon Bake Auto through Facebook forum where there were multiple people praising Michael and his father at Bake Auto so I thought I would give them a try. Within a day of leaving my car with Michael, he not only completely resolved the issues but also rejuvenated my car to feel brand new. Contrary to previous assessments, a new catalytic converter was unnecessary, and Michael identified and fixed the clock issue without the need for a full car disassembly.Michael went above and beyond, addressing various issues such as changing brakes, resurfacing rotors, tightening the manifold, replacing a headlight, installing new windshield wipers, smog check, and changing some fuses all at a very reasonable price. I am very happy to have found Michael and Bake Auto and am beyond satisfied and thrilled that my car is now set to last me a few more years, allowing me to save for a house in Orange County amid the crazy real estate prices. Highly recommended!

One of the last auto repair places on earth that actually was fair with me. I m always blown away after I pick up my car or cars from Bake Auto. Blown away by the honesty. I have a fairly vast knowledge of automotive anything being in the business for over 20 years. So I check things before I move ahead with the proper professional peoples. Bake auto gets it right every time. This is a repair shop that my entire family services all their vehicles on my recommendation. I don t know if this helps anyone decide to do business with Bake auto. I strongly feel that this shop deserves a pat on the back for its hard work and integrity over the many years they have been operating. Try them I m sure you will be glad you did. My husband has been taking our cars to Mike and Lazarus for years now. He insists I take it to them if he can't do it himself even for minor things like oil change and smog tests. And I can see that my husband's loyalty is well deserved.Mike and Lazarus work hard and they are honest people. They do what needs to be done and do it well. We live near many other auto repair shops, but we will never go to anyone else as long as we live here in OC. They run a trustworthy business and they're good at what they do. We depend on them, especially for my old Nissan. They've kept it alive for so long and we'll keep driving it til it falls apart! They work quickly for routine things like smog or oil change. We both highly recommend Bake Auto. My husband always makes sure I take our cars to them because he doesn't trust anybody else.

If you plan to get your car Smoged here please LOOK ELSEWHERE FIRST!! I came for a simple smog test, told it failed due to a code, but in overall i still got charged $69.99 regardless for the failed test ! Rip off , not even did they say how can i get it fixed just take it to another mechanic or bring it back to get it inspected and repaired. ( meaning another charge to check what they did already check and charge again) Sadly it looks and the pattern seems sketchy just to charge a lot for a scan detector, AutoZone or O Reilly does for free on a daily basis ! Never again will i come here , obviously these other reviews are old too, why are there none recent to show how current their business and service to customers stands up to today ?Service: Smog certification

I've brought my car here multiple times and have had very friendly and informative customer service. They are amazing at performing any service or repair! Always have been more than pleased with my cars performance after any repair I've done. I will be going back if any other issues come up in the future.

Bake Auto Care has been a blessing. They do great work, but most importantly they are honest, fair and very professional. I will tow my car miles away to get it to them. For roughly 10 years I've been bringing my cars here and recommending that others do the same. The service here is consistently good, which can be difficult to find with mechanics. Additionally, I never feel like there's pressure to perform unnecessary services as l've found with other places. This shop seems very honest and I've developed trust in them.

I am really happy that I was referred to a reliable mechanic shop. Michael and Lazarus are very friendly and professional. They are honest and provide great quality of work. They don't try to sell you unnecessary services and they value your time. I definitely recommend this place!

I�ve been servicing my car here for 6 years and the service has always been great. Their diagnoses are accurate and they do not try to do unnecessary fixes. For an old car, they let you know what will need fixing or replacing in the future and give you advice on when to do the servicing, but they never push servicing if not critical.

Fairly decent car wash. Just a bit more in price in comparison to others in the Lake Forest area. Takes a little longer than other car washes, as they only have one person vacuuming, drying, etc..

I think this place is honest. The mechanics methodically went through my car to fix an enigmatic emmisions issue and were willing to work with the state of CA and BAR/CAP program. They also refixed an issue at no charge to me after the state referee screwed it up. I would go back again.

10/31/2018Lazarus and Michael are fabulous to work with when tending to the needs of our two Lexus vehicles. I have complete trust in their reliable and expert servicing, their honest diagnostics when performing repairs, and above all, their downright courtesy accompanied by reasonable pricing.

I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and wheel alignment because the steering was pulling a little to the left. They first adjusted the tire pressure and let me know that the problem seemed fixed. That did end up solving the problem. Very competent and fair, quality work and not overly expensive. I have taken my cars to a lot of Lake Forest mechanics but for the last 4 years it has been nothing but Bake Auto Care.

Thanks Lazurus and Michael. Your kind service has been consistent and fair. Tired of dealer service runaround? Try them out for consistent, honest and fair repairs. Located on the north west side of Bake just past the Trabuco-Irvine intersection. TIP: When approaching from the south west on Bake you'll need to pass them and do a U-turn at the next signal. Thanks again!

At bake Auto I had the worst mechanic service of my life. The technician who helped me try to rip me off by $2,000 I took my truck to the real Ford dealer and say the whole bunch of money.To make matters worse after I picked up my truck from the Diagnostics inspection it ran a lot worse than it did before I dropped it off and the check engine light was now on. So I believe this company did something to my vehicle to try to make more money off of me.

Dented my hood and then argued with me. I took my car in for a new hood install - after 2 days of no notice, they couldnt even install it properly. "Lazarus" was very hostile and pretended that the dent was not even there.

at first i said to fixer my alternator have issue and need to be replace , But unfortunately they know how to give money from people ,Overprice charge and fix the care for 24 hours ,rood staff and I never come Back to this Auto care .
