Great experience, was able to smog our rental VW bus camper here, a 1976, the staff was friendly and helpful, clean waiting area and efficient!

Just got my car smog checked again and wow, I m just so impressed at how fast these guys are! Of course I made an appointment first. When I drove up they came to the car, got my key and paperwork and got it all done in just 15 mins! No exaggeration. Just enough time to eat a breakfast sandwich and sip my coffee while watching a morning show on their lobby TV.By the time I was done paying and walking out, there were more customers and cars. Guess I got in at the right time. (11am) At $59 the price point may be on the higher end for cost, but the convenience and ease is worth it to me.Luv this place not far from my home!

This is my go to smog place! Always friendly fast and price is great with the AAA discount they give! Plus their shop is tall enough to do my old 4x4 cause it needs to go on the dynameter and most shops roof is too short!Service: Emissions testingService: Emissions testing

They have the potential for greatness. They take care of everything related to car registration. They're also incredibly nice and understanding guys. Every last one is a customer service superstar, BUT they might need to work on their communication skills. Avoid this shop at all costs.I have used this shop for my last three smog checks. As I drove away the last time, my brake pedal felt soft, and as I pressed it more, it continued all the way to the floor. Once I limped home using my emergency brake, I figured out that the front passenger brake line had been damaged while in their care. It was not cut all the way through, but severed enough to leak fluid under pressure. I perform all my own maintenance and regularly inspect my brake system, and this damage was not present a few days prior to the smog check. I will no longer take my vehicle here, and I wouldn't suggest anyone else does either.For clarity sake, I did not return to the shop, nor call them to ask why or how this could have happened while in their hands for such a short time frame, or give them a chance to remedy the problem. I simply do not want them to touch my vehicle again and I can easily replace the brake line on my own. Giving my vehicle back to them is a risk I am not willing to take.It made me select at least one star, If I could I would have given zero.Service: Smog certification

I had a pleasant experience around 2 years ago for my smog check and car registration. Today I once again went in around 2pm for a smog check, I usually get treated very harshly at other mechanics or anywhere I need help with my car (they see me as a small clueless girl), but the initial gentleman at the desk greeted me so kindly and immediately took my car in and let me know it was going to be just a couple of minutes. I hung out at the Michael s nearby for 15 minutes and my car was all done when I get back. A different gentleman helped give me my paperwork and went through everything thoroughly with me and let me know how to go about my registration renewal online. 10/10 for service, I will always come here for my smog checks!Service: Smog certification

They are fairly quick and pretty much charge the maximum amount they can for smog check. Not mad about him for it but a lot of other places will only charge 45 to 55 for a regular car not 60.

Third times the charm-had trouble w/air flow sensor; DEKRA helped me &!stayed true to their, NO CHARGE for retest (within 60 days). Thx., Gilbert & Steve

Quick and friendly service - came here about 10:35 am Saturday for a smog check and was on my way by 11:00. Cheap $60 to get this taken care of on the weekend, plus they would have let me take care of the registration renewal all at the same time for another $30 or so. Will recommend.

Worst customer service ever. I never even made it there because the guy who answered the phone on Sunday 2/05/23 at 10:45am was rude to me. I live 2 minutes away from the place and called to see if they were busy and this guy proceeded with a smart attitude telling me he couldn t answer my question because what if by the time I got there, 5 cars would show up. After explaining to him that I understood that was a possibility but I simply wanted to know how busy they were at the time because I lived close and could take my car at anytime he continued to repeat himself in a very rude manner. Finally, I told him I would rephrase my question and asked how many cars where being worked on at that moment. He answered ZERO. I m guessing he wasn t the owner and preferred to be rude to people so he could have an easy day and not work. I hope the manager or owner sees this. It s unacceptable to do this to paying customers. I guess it s fair to say I took my business elsewhere to a place that actually wanted it.

Best smog place I been to, customer service was great and easy. Marco and Gilbert were amazing from a fast and effective smog test, to even helping me get my tags sticker then and there. Definitely would recommend. If your looking for good customer service and good service overall go down to Dekra smog in La Mesa with Marco and Gilbert. 100 percent happy customer here. Services: Initial registration, Smog certification, Emissions testing, Registration renewal

They said it would take 40 miners . I walked cross the street to the store. Michaels 35 minutes later I was back five minutes later. My car was done exact time. They told me 40 minutes.very pleased thank youService: Smog certificationService: Smog certification

Went in on a Saturday morning. They were fast and there was no line. I be like that they are open on the weekend, makes it easier to get stuff done since my weekday schedule makes it hard to do stuff.

Used them a few times now and service persons are always very helpful and professional. I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes and they offer vehicle registration services as well for a small processing fee, which is well worth it considering you can walk out the door with your new tags same day as well. Great one-stop shop to smog and register.

We brought our car in to Dekra to have it smogged for the first time. Not only were the staff polite, but they got the job done very quickly! Also, they have coupons available on their website which I used. I would highly recommend this business.

This location has changed so much in the last 15 years. But they are consistently quick and kind. Staff is always friendly and they get you in and out. They were done in 20 minutes.

First time customer. Not busy at all. I was in and out within 20 minutes for my smog check. Reasonable prices. I would recommend them. They also have other DMV services they can do .

I went here on a Friday and they said it would be a 2+ hour wait. I made an appointment for Monday morning instead. On Monday morning when I showed up for my appointment, the technician was upset that I was there. He said there was no way I had an appointment. He said my car was too difficult for him to smog so there s no way I had an appointment. He was mad at me that they failed to be ready for my appointment. So I just asked if he could smog my car and he said I would have to come back in a week to get if smog checked. Horrible customer service.
