Dan is my service manager and def the guy to go see at Carl Burger! He's professional, informative, and waked me throughout the repair process. He was especially patient with my warranty company taking months to approve a repair invoice. 100% recommend

SERVICE REVIEWWe took our car to be serviced on 12/27/23. Raul Arroyo was our service manager. Dopped it off in the morning. Repairs were completed and we picked up the car two days later, Friday 12/29/23. Upon pick up we observed a large scratch and scrape on the driver's side front bumper. That scratch was not present when we dropped off the car. The dealership is claiming that the scratch was already present and that it is not their fault. They produced video footage of their technician driving the vehicle with the scratch on it into the service bay. My husband spoke with the service director, Alberto Rodriguez, on 1/3/24. My husband asked for footage of us dropping off the car in the morning. We were told that there was footage of him dropping it off but that the image was grainy, and we were not able to see it nor get a copy of that video. We do have footage of the car in perfect condition the day prior at my house and we only drove it to the dealership for the repairs, we were NOT in any accident between the day before and the drop off. I got an estimate to repair the damage and it was over $1300 not to mention 4 days of working time to fix. I am disappointed and angry that the dealership will not take ownership of what transpired.

I needed an oil/filter change and tire rotation, plus any routine service for 60,000 miles (full details unknown beforehand). I was given an appointment for early the next day and all the needed services were completed quickly. Things don't get much better than that.As an aside: A wheel alignment wasn't needed this time. I only want to mention that my 2016 Dodge Caravan holds the road as well as any vehicle I have over owned. This is thanks to your newest (several years old by now) wheel alignment machine. I will have a new alignment performed if I notice any "wandering" on the highway. It seems to hold for a couple of years. Nice!

If you want emblems broken and your paint messed up this is the place to go. Service manager calls me to argue with me about them only buffing my hood. Place is a joke with no accountability. STAY AWAY!

Ociel in the business department... I've taken my vehicle to him a couple of times trying to get the lights and ignition fixed and he casually tried to slough off the work telling me it's minor issues that I'm causing myself or can fix myself. I've tried contacting him back as I feel like I've already paid for these repairs and he is still not willing to look at my vehicle. This was under warranty but now I've driven outside of my warranty repairs and I'm still having issues that I had initially and he's still yet to do any repair work as a manufacturer... This does not bode well

I was really happy with my visit. I showed up without an appointment, and they gladly serviced my vehicle. Everybody was extremely nice, and I was extremely grateful for them cleaning my vehicle. I would highly recommend coming to the express lane for all your service needs. They have an awesome coffee, machine, and Premium snacks. Thank you Nicole, your smile made my day!

Mr. Dan and his service team are par excellent. After team analyze problem with my car, Mr. Dan informs me immediately via phone and if anything else is needed, he texts/calls me and keeps me in the loop. Occasionally, parts are difficult to get, but he keeps me informed and answers all, all, all my questions and highlights in yellow on my receipts what was done on the car. He is outstanding and has excellent customer care skills. Thank you Mr. Dan.

Just had probably one of the best service experiences at a service department for my Ram 2500. The service advisor, Jose Reyes from Carl Burger Dodge went above and beyond to help me and not only was he communicative but realistic in helping me navigate what services I should proceed with based on mileage and age of the vehicle. I would definitely recommend him for any of your Dodge, Jeep, and Ram service.

Luis is the worst service agent doesn t respond to calls and texts , I took my car in on Monday and it is now Thursday evening and I was told today they have not been able to diagnose it. So it has been sitting there for four days. Mind you this is the third time I take it in for the exact same problem! It was under warranty the first two times I took it in. Do they not keep records?! I was also told by the receptionist they do not work on cars on Saturdays? So essentially it will be sitting there over the weekend! I was so fed up I called and said I would drive my car around until the check transmission light came on and check engine light came on and take it back, why should I have to do there job!!!!! Which I don t believe they have even tried to drive because the light comes on ALL THE TIME!!! It is so dangerous each time they send it back to me without fixing the issue as I have to drive to work with it like that and sometimes it just stops speeding up in the middle of the freeway doesn t matter how hard I push on the gas peddle. I am so upset by this I have been having to find rides to and from work as they don t even provide loaner cars to their clients?! This is the worst service I have ever experienced!

Service center is excellent. Friendly, accommodating staff. Had a very bad experience at another Jeep dealership in San Diego. Highly recommend. Oil change and air filter replacement was under an hour with a scheduled appointment.

I've purchased numerous cars over the years, and I must say, this dealership stands out as the most discourteous and unhelpful I've ever encountered. My first encounter here was five years ago when my wife and I were in the market for a Wrangler (which we bought elsewhere). From the start, they dismissed us and offered minimal assistance.Today, we decided to give them another chance (being that it has been quite some time) this time in search of a truck to tow our Wrangler for trips. Yet again, we were disappointed by the level of service.First impression- He only wanted to show us the cheapest truck available and refused a test drive, claiming they're reserved for "serious buyers ready to purchase today," despite being prepared with a down payment, approval from Navy Fed, and ready to make a deal. This was obviously a baseless assumption that left me questioning if discrimination based on age, appearance, or race was at play here.This experience is suspicious and entirely unexpected from a dealership. It's baffling and unacceptable.This purchase was a special surprise by my wife and a way for us to support her hometown of La Mesa and its local businesses, given her family's ties to the community. It's disheartening to experience such treatment from a business I had hoped to support.

I visited the Carl Burger service department for my Jeep for the first time and the experience left much to be desired. My scheduled appointment was at 7:30 AM, but when I arrived, I discovered that the service department wouldn't open until 8:00 AM. To add to my frustration, the employee who greeted me was rude and seemed dismissive when I tried to explain my appointment time mix-up. They callously instructed me to "wait in the street," which only made me more irritated.After waiting until 8:00 AM, I finally managed to speak to someone about my appointment. However, they informed me that the express service was located down the road to the right, which was not mentioned in my email or by the unhelpful employee.Although the express service eventually salvaged my experience with its efficiency and good customer service, the initial encounter with the main service department was abysmal. The lack of communication and poor customer service skills displayed by the staff there were disappointing.Despite the satisfactory outcome from the express service, I regretfully cannot recommend this location due to the dismal customer service encountered at the main service department. Significant improvements in communication and customer care are direly needed.

I wanted to surprise my wife with a Jeep and they helped come up with a plan to not only purchase the car but to deliver the car with a bow on top! First visit to get my truck serviced. They took my truck back immediately, answered all of my questions. When I needed more service than anticipated, they discounted the labor and parts. I will definitely be returning, great and professional experience. Jose Reyes is amazing, 10/10FYI - the service center does have great wifi, I was able to work remotely while waiting for the service to be completed

Once again, I came into Carl Burger Dodge truck service center and experienced nothing but five star ratings across-the-board from everyone that I came in contact with and also the work done on my 2018 Dodge ram pick up. I only came in for a recall item on this particular day, but as always, I received the best Customer Service that I could possibly get at Carl Burger Dodge in La Mesa. Took in my Jeep Grand Cherokee ecodiesel for the first step of the z46 fuel pump recall where they inspect the fuel system to determine which replacement parts to order. Very good experience with Islam, my service agent, very polite and helpful. The only issue I had was the lack of availability of a technician to answer questions and concerns I had about the recall, since there's reason to believe the replacement fuel pump might have the same design flaw as the old one. So it would be nice if the service agents had access to more information about the technical details of any repair or recall.

Honestly I dreaded going back to Carl Burger service, due to past bad experiences, but they are the closest dealer and I had some recalls that needed correction.I was very pleasantly surprised by the customer service I received! I arrived for my appointment early and was greeted promptly. Dennis had me checked in and ready to go in a few minutes. The work was completed early afternoon and I was back in my truck the same day. Dennis met me at pick up and explained the work performed and told me to contact him if I had any other concerns.I hope Carl Burger service dept maintains this high level of customer service.

Ok so my jeep has been in their service department for 2 months awaiting a part on backorder. Incredibly frustrating experience as anyone could agree. Although corporate is a pain to deal with, the guys over here at the actual service department were amazing. Danny Flores, the manager, was as accommodating as he possibly could be and got me a great loaner vehicle despite all the beurocracy involved. No regrets leasing my jeep through them.

I took my 2020 Rebel Sport to Jack Powell for an exhaust manifold leak. They kept my vehicle for 2 weeks and told me there was nothing wrong with my vehicle. Being frustrated, I took my vehicle to Carl Burger and spoke with Dan Robbins and immediately identified the problem. Dan had the manifolds ordered and called me to drop off my vehicle. Carl Burger s staff had my vehicle for 1 day and called me back stating my vehicle was fixed. I explained to Dan Robbins I would pick up my vehicle the next day as my wife did not get off work until 5pm. Dan had Uber come and pick me up and drop me off at Carl Burger.The over all experience, listening to the owner, and timeliness of fixing my vehicle was top notch, thanks Carl Burger & Dan Robbins!!

JESSE WAS AMAZING!!!! I truly appreciate Jesse s professionalism and his dedication to getting me the vehicle that I wanted! Moreover, Jesse went above and beyond and did not stop working to get me the deal I wanted after hearing NO from certain banks! Even, Brian, the Finance Manager got my payment lower than what I was quoted originally! I sincerely recommend Carl Burger Dodge to anyone in need of the car of their dreams! The ladies at the front desk are very nice and always friendly, the service is great, but sometimes they forget to fill tire pressure to appropriate tire pressure after tire rotation, and then I have to take it to a tire shop to get them refilled. One reason I stoped asking them to do tire rotation, I just do it somewhere else, but overall great service.

I took my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L in for service in February 2024. I was getting error messages for the braking system and airbags and cruise control. When I arrived the service advisor started writing it up and I told him I tow the vehicle and use a third-party braking system called Air Force One from Demco products, ( very common for rv's) . The SA put a reader on the cars diagnostic port, and this is when the clucking of tongues and tsk tsk began, and they proceeded to put all the blame immediately on my third-party equipment. The service manager on duty also came out and said "the stuff's gonna have to come off of here before we can service the car", or something to that effect. The Air Force One system does not in anyway interact with the electronics of the vehicle that uses vacuum pressure from the RV to operate but they didn't want to hear about any of this they said they'd have to remove, the third-party add-ons before they could even perform service. I said "that's crazy. There's something wrong with my car. Please check it in and diagnose it ", and after some back-and-forth they refused.I ended up taking to the dealer further from home in Kearny Mesa that I bought it from and they eventually diagnosed it with a faulty sensor on the right wheel well area. Problem solved. Nothing whatsoever to do with the third-party equipment.I I really didn't appreciate the attitude and trouble I got from this dealer trying to get my jeep diagnosed under warranty. I have no problem if they would have diagnosed it and had evidence that third-party modification that caused the problem but why wouldn't they check it in and diagnose it first? Knowing that it was a possibility of a faulty issue with the car itself? It cost me time and inconvenience and aggravation as well. I'd avoid these guys if it can be helped.
