Beautiful campground right on the river with a handful of trails right at your doorstep. Klamath Beach is nearby as well, which is a fun little hike in with sea lions watching you along the way. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. The space was just right for our family with full hookups and a fire pit. I also appreciated that it was quiet (no one blasting music at night). We will definitely be back!

Scott and Paula were so nice and helpful! We booked last minute and they were veryAccommodating. They helped us when we arrived after dark and answered all of our questions. They even opened up their office/camp store for us early in the morning so we could warm up some food since we didn t have camping supplies. The facilities were very clean and the shower was warm! Very scenic and quiet as well. They also gave us many recommendations for the Redwoods and surrounding areas. Will definitely be staying again!!

Very nice setting and location. It is remote for those who like solitude. The camp staff are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, since Covid, they stopped doing food and music. Great 6 mi bike loop.

We had a great weekend camping on the redwood coast. But one of my favorite moments has to be when Bigfoot came by our campsite, saw my husband, and then realized he has a long lost twin. He even asked to take a picture with my hubby by himself! Close to lots of beach access! We saw whales on the coastal drive right by camp. Located minutes from the Trees Of Mystery. And a short drive to Ocean World, crescent City, and Battery Point lighthouse. Thanks Kamp Klamath RV Park and Campground! We had a great weekend in Site A38!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Kamp Klamath. The location is quiet with some nice views. Our kid enjoyed the playground and playing in the meadow. Our stay coincided with Easter Sunday and they had an Easter egg hunt which was a huge hit for the kids. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Scott went above and beyond and really saved our family's entire trip. We had some car troubles and he spent a lot of time with us trying to solve the issue. He was very resourceful and figured out the problem and fixed it for us! Thank you again, Scott!

This camp was amazing!! We went here while ago, (July 2023,) but the camp is still the same. Beautiful views and you get a very nice amount of privacy. The campus is very well kept & the amenities are spectacular. On one of our days here, there was a barbecue with spaghetti and grill, and other kinds of food. It was splendid! Right before we came to Kamp Klamath, we went to another camp site, and it was absolutely horrible. No privacy, trash everywhere, and no quiet. Going here was a great decision. Planning to go again this summer!Definitely recommend!

My daughters first time tent camping. We arrived there after 7pm and office was close. We found our reservation on the bulletin board adjacent the office and pre-purchased firewood cart. Our firewood had been taken. I guess they usually leave it at the site for you but we got missed the manager said the next day. We helped ourselves showing our receipt in the security camera and they were cool with it. Bathrooms and showers were typical vintage BUT were surprising CLEAN and nice. I could tell the managers, a husband wife team, really took pride in the place. Sites were beautiful, so close to the river, playground for our daughter, fire ring, picnic table, Wi-Fi, laundry, bear proof trash cans. They thought of everything and so so quiet. Go there! You won t be disappointed

Excellent place to camp. The way some of the sites are set up it makes you feel like you are by yourself. Plenty of shade. Has showers and good bathroom. Staff goes out of their way to take care of you.

We loved staying here! 2 miles off the highway and 2 miles from Klamath beach. Very quiet and secluded campground. Landscape was absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. This campsite was a perfect middle spot in the Redwoods area. 30 minutes from Crescent City and Jedediah Smith State Park and less than 15 minutes from Trees of Mystery. We loved it so much we extended our stay and we would definitely come back. Bears are active in the area, we saw at least one bear everyday, so don t leave food out. Short dog friendly trails in the campground. Only recommendation I could give is that they could provide more washers and dryers, as there is only 2 of each for everyone. Other than that I would recommend this RV camp to anyone in the area

I love full hookups. Friendly staff. Neat trails through the lush greens. Convenience store. Free unlimited hot-water showers. It is also near to the Klamath River, and the ocean. Natural wildlife can be seen from your campsite (we saw a young timid bear), or take a 90 second drive to where the river meets the coast to view the seals, pelicans, and gulls. It's rare to have access to such rustic outdoors and animal life, and still have the convenience of hookups!I only wish the showers were a little cleaner.

Had a great time. Weather wasn't the best, but the showers were hot and clean. Camp host was very nice to talk to and even the bear made an appearance but with no excitement. Would definitely camp there again

We honestly can t say enough wonderful things about this place! If you re staying in the Klamath area, this campground is the best. We kind of found it on accident when we decided to change our travel plans last minute and we re so grateful we did.It s a beautiful campground with great FHU spots. There s a nice playground, a beautiful garden, trails to Klamath River and other great amenities. Plus, the staff was the sweetest! The owner, Gary, was in town for the week working on some projects. He was hosting a meal for the staff the day we arrived, and he invited us and the few other campers on-site to join them. It was so much fun to meet everyone and enjoy a nice meal after a long travel day!We also learned the story about how he recently purchased the campground and all of the plans they have for it. He s an awesome guy!The road is a little rough getting in just FYI. It was off the highway a little ways, but that made for the most peaceful nights we ve had in a while. Plus, it s only about 1.5 miles from Klamath Beach! Be sure to visit to watch the sea lions! It s also conveniently located to so many wonderful hikes and places like Trees of Mystery, which we also enjoyed. We would love to return someday and stay longer!

The NICEST campground! Super friendly staff and the cleanest and well maintained sites anywhere. Even the portable toilets were immaculate! Bathrooms/showers a bit dated but clean and lots of hot water. Excellent proximity to all things redwood. Came back for an unplanned second night because it s that great!

I'm an avid camper, and while looking for a campsite on my way up the coast, I found Kamp Klamath on iOverlander. Seemed like a normal campground but what the reviews didn't capture was the warmth of the staff and people around! I stayed there for a week, enjoyed the strolls and hikes around the area, watched sea lions on the beach and feasted on the yummy food the owner Gary cooked during Memorial day weekend. The sites aren't too crammed, which is nice. If you're brave (note there are bears in the area), you could opt for a remote tucked in campsite that'll give you a sense of true wilderness. I even got to borrow an e-bike and ride it up the road to the beach. Camp staff were super nice, enjoyed sharing stories with them. Shout out to Gary, Paula, and Scott for running an amazing campground! You all helped me create memories for life and will forever be a part of my roadtrip adventures! Signing off, as your pseudo marketing manager.

My wife and I stayed there recently for 3 nights with our travel trailer. This was our first time here. We were very happy with our experience there! We arrived on a rainy afternoon, and before I could get out of our truck to check in, the manager came out to us and gave us our paperwork and directions to our spot. I had made our reservation online (very easy), and had paid extra to get a specific spot in the "Alderwood". It was the last RV spot before the tent camping area and was bigger. It was a full hookup site, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out it included a sewer hookup, saving me from having to spend time at a dump station on the day we left! This is an older campground a couple miles from the highway, so it is quiet and secluded. The grounds are very pretty with large mature trees and a nice large open space with a playground, horseshoe pits and cornhole boards. The coast is a 5 min drive away, and there are several paths leading down to and along the river. All the staff we spoke with were very friendly and helpful! The wifi is best near the office (sit on the deck nearby and enjoy the view) and was generally available in the RV areas. Cellphone service (Verizon) was ok with 2 or 3 bars. The new owners seem to be updating the facilities, as some are showing their age. Everything we used was clean and in good condition. We will definitely be back!

We unfortunately had to leave the Kamp about 4 or 5 days early from our reservation. I really wanted to love this place because it is so quiet, peaceful and truly just the feeling of being in the woods yet so close to the beach is truly remarkable. The sites are fairly large (we have a 29ft TT) But they do offer back in & pull through. We loved that they are able to refuse the trees that are cut down for firewood. We did not use the showers as hubby said there was no locks for security on the door. It took me 8 hours to do 5 loads of laundry. There are 3 washers and 2 dryers. However 1 dryer was not working and the 1 "working dryer" took forever to dry as if the heating element seems to be going out. Needless to say, I wasted a lot of money trying to dry clothes. Owners/hosts & other campers were all very pleasant otherwise. Now, they do have "active bear" signs throughout the park. Do not ignore those. The reason we left early was because the night before from 11pm-3am 2 bears took turns breaking through our tonneau cover. They were trying to get into a tote that had our dog food in it. (We already brought the bag inside) apparently that wasn't enough. So be sure to take extra precautions. Bears are definitely active here. Please note - we do not hold the park responsible for the bear issue and has zero reflection on the rating/review of this park.

Absolutely beautiful camping ground with plenty to do right near by. Walking distance to Klamath River where it meets the mouth of the beach. Perfect for fishing, kayaking, or swimming at the beach. Me & the beau went for 4th of July weekend. Of course a lot of ppl had the same idea but we were still able to social distance which was great. (With the exception of the bathroom. Small. Bring your mask, guys!) Anyway will definitely be returning now that we ve found this little gem.

Thanks to Gary and your staff! Had a fantastic time visiting friends who were staying there! Kamp Klamath is all about family and this place is definitely family friendly which means kid friendly! The BBQ was awesome! Food was fresh and tasty! The brownies and ice cream made for a perfect end to the day! Thanks go to Gary, Annett and Clair and everyone else for a great visit!

On our third and final night. Nothing but good things to say about the camp. Staff is friendly, sites are fine, full hook ups and very quiet. Being the first week of October, I m sure we are past the busy season. The location of this park is another plus. You are in the middle of the Redwoods State and National Parks. Getting to the trails, byways etc is super easy. Klamath is right there too.I would recommend staying here and we will be revisiting this beautiful area.

My experience was amazing even before I got to Kamp Klamath. It started with having to change my visit due to unforseen circumstances. In less than 24hrs my dates had been rebooted. It was close to the Trees of mystery which was an added bonus. When we arrived our site was close for the winter, so we (my GF, dog and I) picked a random site to stay at as the office was closed. They let us stay at the site for our second night as well! The bathrooms we good and clean. The showers left a Lil to be desired HOWEVER I am a bit of city girl, and K.K.C can only do so much with the California fog and humidity! 10/10 recommended and would definitely stay again!

Marie and Don greeted us when we got into camp a little early in the day in early May. I had made reservations several months in advance and the process was simple on the website. The campground is a stunning redwood garden in a very wild and rural area. The sites are wide and everything feels open and lush in the shade of the forest surrounding the grounds. Both Marie and Don were super helpful with area information. Don't miss the wildlife extravaganza a 1.2 mile drive, bike, or walk down to the mouth of the Klamath river. We saw sea lions feasting on migrating eels no more than 50 feet away from the river edge and sometimes more like 20 feet away. Just on the other side of the sand bar within 100 feet of the beach grey whales were feeding. On the bike ride back to camp I almost missed a black bear running across the road because I was transfixed by two eagles flying right over us. I watched an osprey swoop down and snatch an eel from the water not more than 30 feet away and then fly erratically while the eel writhed in its grip, and then landed on a giant log about 50 feet away to eat it. Kamp Klamath is an amazing place to settle in and relax between side trips out to the headlands, and back down the road a few miles to Prairie Creek park and the redwoods.

This is a nice, peaceful park. It is splendidly situated, and is minutes way from some of the world's most breathtaking and beautiful natural offerings. The lots were reasonably level, spacious, and it was so quiet that you could hear the nearby Pacific Ocean. Wi-Fi was reasonably fast as well, takes care of most tasks well. My only gripes were the spotty utilities and communication. Maybe I was just unfortunate, but there were practically daily electric outages, which also shut the well water pump down. So on my first night, I wake up confused why my climate control isn't working, and why there's no water or internet. I'm later told there was a planned electric outage that they weren't aware of -- fair enough, and by evening, it was all back on again. The next day however, the outage happened again, and several more times after that -- which weren't communicated, and by the second time, I had to extract the information out of an employee that more outages were coming. They did run a generator by the well pump for a few hours so we could all fill up on water, but at the end of the day, we were basically boondocking for over half of our 8 night stay, at full price no less. Again, I say this with the understanding that this may have been beyond their control, but boondocking wasn't my idea of a good time either. So -- that was the downside to my stay. But assuming lack of utilities aren't a regularly re-occurring issue, all the of the positives stand, and this is a great park with some amazing nearby sights to behold.

I had a wonderful time at Kamp Klamath (08/21/2020 thru 08/22/2020). Gary is a MOST gracious and friendly host, the campsites are clean, as are the bathrooms. Moreover, the overall feeling was of a forest setting - surrounded by trees, grass, shrubs, river and the ocean only a mile or so down the road. One would never guess they were sleeping in a campground at 2am because it was so quiet. The only con would be a suggestion to remove a hand dryer in the bathroom, because at 2am, if someone uses it, the noise is amplified throughout the campground ten times over. Aside from that, I can't wait to go back. "The tortilla chips and cold beans" lady. Gary saved out pathetic dinner option by providing us with a hot, yummy meal....see what I mean by 'gracious and friendly!' Kathie Caballero

Lots of privacy in space 21 and our transit van fit perfectly! Full of wildflowers and river pathways. Good family camping area with playground and country store. If you bring a kayak, then you'll want a dolly to haul it down the pathway to the river about 1/8 mile.

This was a great, well maintained campground. We appreciated the showers, which you can use without having to pay. My kids loved the playground and the field. When we arrived, check in was smooth and easy, and someone guided us to our sight and helped us back in. We visited with a pop up camping trailer - but it was a great place to camp no matter what your gear. They had sites of varying privacy. Their little shop was well stocked with many items, including some grocery. The campground is nearby some great sight seeing spots - we visited the trees of mystery, and we also enjoyed the coastal drive route. One of the nights a bear did come through and knocked over the trash cans - so take the bear warnings seriously and make sure you don t leave food out.

Kamp Klamath is a fine spot - I think it's hard to review campgrounds accurately because people have different levels of camping experience. We live out of our RV, and would rank this campground a 3 out of 5 stars because it's overpriced for what it is, but everything listed on their site is (almost) accurate, and they were nice, so I don't want to bring down their rating. The sites are VERY close. No privacy. No views, no grills, basically just a spot to sleep on an open field. The river area is cute (you need to walk to it) - about 3 feet to stand, no way to walk along it. Showers were fine but dirty. My biggest issue is the no RV camping in the tent area. Never seen this ever before and the tent areas had HUGE spots. Not a single one that our camper couldn't fit in. We booked a tent spot (since their website said they were suitable for RV OR tent) only to arrive and be put in an RV spot and charged $20 more a night. We cut our trip short, as they should have honored the price we originally paid since their website is not accurate. Wouldn't go back because it's extremely overpriced for what it is, but hey, it's a good location and very friendly staff
