Service here was great. Ralph is a great guy to work with a real straight shooter. All pricing was given upfront confirmation for work and follow through was exactly as expected. No surprises. We had an air sensor replaced and they replaced the fuel pump gasket when Ralph Identify that is the source of the fuel vapors smell . Other Shop couldn t address it. Totally reliable this is an A1 Shop!

A&R German Motors has serviced our BMW X5 for a year and have always done a good job. Today we needed an oil change and scheduled it a few days in advance. Very easy. They did the oil change while my wife waited. The price was reasonable. They also changed her fob battery. Very good service.

My 2005 Mercedes was stuck in second gear and the turn signal lights on my side mirrors were not working. Every place I went for repairs said the transmission would probably need to be replaced. Major expense!Ralph determined what the problem was, texted an estimate which I approved, and did the repairs in one day. The car runs GREAT!! The costs were both very agreeable and even below what had been estimated.I highly recommend A & R German Motors and Ralph!!!!

Been taking my 03 BMW 325i wagon to Ralph many times now and always receive EXCELLENT service. Walking distance from my house is a huge plus as well! Honest, fast and reliable service. Highly recommend.

They are thorough, truthful, and they are booked and busy! have to wait about a week to get your car seen sometimes. Ralph is an expert here thank you for taking care of my car I don t know how I would take care of my car without his help so grateful! Amazing!

Great place to take care of your car. They are very kind and accommodating, they were able to fit me in when I needed it. Very reasonable and always take good care of my car. Place is located in Hermosa Beach off of Pch, easy to find and park. Have been going there for years, with all my cars. Highly recommend!

Overall very straight forawrd and great at guiding and supplying information about everything. They kept me updated and made sure I understood all repairs to be done, costs, and time that they should take. This was great since I am a young car owner.

Last year I took my SL450 to a dealer for a rattle in the driver's door and window malfunction. Got the typical rip off/run around. Spent most of the day for them to investigate and they told me a bolt or screw had fallen out somewhere in the door affecting the window track. They could fix the window problem immediately for $500 if I didn't mind leaving the lost screw somewhere in the drivers door or $1000 if they took the time to find the bolt or screw. Took it to Ralph at A&R and he was pleasant, polite, and took the time to listen to my explanation of the problem. Said give a little time to investigate, got into the door quickly, and had the problem solved within an hour. He also reconnected the antenna that speaks to the key fob that was disconnected at the dealership in their investigation. And he clearly explained what was wrong in the first place. Suffice it to say it wasn't a lost bolt or screw. And to top it off, it was considerably less than the dealer, Duh. So yesterday I took the car in for routine maintenance as well as an unexpected problem with the trunk latch. He handled it all quickly and efficiently and found screws in 3 tires and was even able to fix two of those. The third needs to be replaced and he provided me with a referral. Everything now works like new and I have complete confidence in my new, full time mechanic, and look forward to working with him whenever I have a problem. Awesome!!!

First experience: Had questions about rear seat back release, seatbelt retractors, shocks and brakes. Very happy with the process, the turnaround time and the fair pricing. I m new to BMW and This was a very positive experience, with no pressure to spend outside my comfort zone. Wouldn t hesitate to recommend.Second experience: Oil change - Ralph was ready for me when I arrived, finished the job on time and offered some value added suggestions about tires wearing. All good.

Ralph is very detailed, patient and found things the dealer misdiagnosed (3x!) on our 5 series and advised on things to watch for which the dealer did not communicate. On systems that had failed, he took the time to show me where the defects were on the parts (that the dealer missed 3x). Ralph is your man! Thank you!

I have been coming to A&R Motors for years. My father was in the car industry (owned a dealership for years) so I am always weary of shops especially as a woman. This is the ONLY shop I will ever go to! When Frank took over from former owners, dare I say, the shop improved! The office is so clean and organized. It is very clear how hard Frank works and his pride in his shop. I have a 2013 Mercedes 250 (has roughly 120,000 miles) and they have serviced my car the whole time. The prices are ridiculously fair (I price out everything and do my research). Frank is very thorough with the services and offers excellent advice for longevity. He is Never pushy or overly excitable about updates unless it is REALLY needed. I highly recommend this shop to you especially for all of the German car owners, but also for any car type. Excellent service, beyond far prices, timely turn around, honest and trustworthy all over YES! A&R German Motors is the best BMW service I ve found - (and I have been thru dealers and other independents) with my first 2002 X5 that got 235k miles, and now with my current Gray 2002 X5 with 200k miles going for 250K. I won t have anyone else work on my cars. Completely honest, trusted, and Ralph and his wife run it. They are very highly recommended. Ralph and Allen continue to be the best. Completely honest, and highly recommended to help keep your BMW in the best shape for years. I ve been coming to Ralph to work on my two 2002 X5s for almost 10 years. Got 235,000 out of my Black one and going for 250,000 in my Gray one. No one else touches my 2002 X5. I went here on a reference from my friend that works on BMW's only, but has moved on from that practice. I spent $3200 on my '06 330CI and it wouldn't run after going to another local German car repair shop. That shop had it for a week, at least, to try and fix my issue. A&R fixed it within 24 hours. $160 an hour is a bargain as I have found out. A+ auto service for E46 BMW's. 100% reference. Right parts and mechanic matters.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

A & R give new definition to integrity, quality service, fair pricing and overall great Customer Service. I will never go to the Dealer again as long as Ralph is around to take care of my cars. I have sent 3 people to them and all have been treated with the same courtesy and professionalism. If they can't fix it, they will tell you and tell you where you need to go to get it done correctly.I've never trusted any mechanic like I trust Ralph.
