Has the Best services. Affordable prices. Services I've had done at cal state were for my 2016 Lexus 200t. My turbo waste gate was stuck open replaced the actuator in no time and my car was good as new thank you Chris.I also get my smogs, tires, tires balanced, tire rotation, oil change, and brakes. Always keeps me informed about the cost parts and labor. Diagnostic test also done at location right on the corner of olive and abby

Too many infractions on the form given before the car was worked on, no diagnostic codes, no MAKE OR MODEL OF VEHICLE. Worker took it for a test drive and it "all of a sudden" broke down. Mind you he took it to herndon.. there were no signs of misfire or any trouble turning on check engine light was on when brought in for timing belts. He charged US for the tow back to his shop even though THEY are liable for any damage THEY do. On top of that I told them I'd get it towed THEY STILL WITH NO CONSENT towed the car and made us pay the fee. When we picked up the car there was a huge hole in the tire. The worker said FIRST that the tow driver "took air out". Of ONE tire? And why?. THEN he said there was a needle in it. But as we arrived there was air pouring out. Definitely not a needle. I am taking this to the BBB because now the car won't turn on and there's more damage underneath than what I brought it in for. Come to find out they don't even do engine work. DO NOT COME HERE FOR ANYTHING. Save your money or else you'll be spending more. Trash service.

Great honest service. I trust Frank and Ben with all of my vehicles, and they have come through for me time and time again over the years. Pricing is fair and they resolve my issues. This feels like a luxury in today's world where nobody wants to work and nothing can get done right. It's good to know there's still honest operations out there.

Called around asking about installing a Cat shield for my Toyota Prius since their Catalytic converters are being stolen frequently. Cal state installed the shield at a price that was better than all the other places I called, I went in and they treated me with amazing customer service. For being short staffed I was in and out. Highly recommended! Thank you Cal state for keeping my car safe!Service: Exhaust

My car was brought here by Francis collision(don't go there). My Cadillac converter was stolen so they brought it here. Let me tell you this, when I received my car back. I had the check engine light on & the Cadillac converter was acting up. When I went under the car to inspect it was welded it really sloppy & badly done. When I informed France's of the issues they gave me a bad attitude but because it was under their horrible warranty they told me who installed it. So I brought it to this muffler shop .when I informed them about the issues & that it could be a installation problem . the owner started yelling & attacking me telling me that they're insulation is 100% guarantee & it's my car not their problem . So I left, I informed my insurance of what the issues were. They told me just to take it to any body shop & they will pay for any cost to get it fixed so I took it to seven body shops . I found somebody that found what the issues were. Let me start with that the Cadillac converter was welded wrong I was told by three of them that it looked like a 15-year-old did it. but when I took it to the last body shop that actually fixed it .they informed me that it was installed wrong & all the sensors were installed wrong. At the end everything was fixed (except the Cadillac converter) But let me tell you this if you take your car here good luck , you're better off going to the deep Hood getting it fixed in somebody's garage.

They treated me great and replaced my catalytic converter quickly. They also gave me tons of vital information and heat me in the loop. The only problem I have with them is they kept my catalytic converter and then when I can to pick it up they said they already scrapted it. So I asked if I could receive some of the profit from scraping it and he looked baffled and said "was it worth anything"? Yeah, cats are worth 200-400 dollars used because of the precious metals and sometimesmore! That's why people are stealing them and it all over the news. I'm pretty sure he was lying right to my face, but other then that they were absolutely amazing so just make sure you tell them you want to keep the cat so you don't lose the couple hundred for scraping it.

First place I went to because I had a muffler problem and it was the closest to me. Service is first come first serve and I had my whole cat-back exhaust replaced. It took about 1hr to get the job done and the exhaust sits straight and the welds are pretty good! No leaks. The price was reasonable. I'd definitely go back for exhaust jobs and I highly recommend this place :]

Took my car for an exhuast replacement and after that my car has giving me nothing but problems took it back several times and all they kept doing was erasing the check engine light and replacing other stuff that were not fixing the issue. I also called several times and all I kept getting g was it s not our fault by yet they kept erasing the the check engine light . Finally after trying to get them to fix what they had broken I took my car to the Nissan dealer which I should have in the first place and turns out cal state broke the exhaust sensor that s connected on the exhaust manifold . Never again will I take my car there and I would not recommend anyone to . You will think your getting a good deal but your getting your self into a mess.

I wasn't here specifically i went in back to the smog check place which was actually pretty good. $45 for my smog not sure how the varies in price compared to other places. the guy who did my smog was nice and polite.

They are worthless. Took a simple exhaust job to them and they stated they will pass. They said they didn t know how to bend some metal and weld it, not sure how they even call themselves a muffler shop if they can t bend simple metal. Took it to the next shop and they did it in 10 minutes.Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

My company's truck had the cat cut. Thankfully not all the way out. So the welded it back you really fast and I was in my way in no time. My company it very thankful for that as well.

The short Mexican guy who seems to be in charge has a bad attitude. I have went there on 3 separate occasions to get quoted. Each time I mentioned that another shop could do it cheaper he got a condescending attitude with me instead of trying to pitch his shop as being better or why they charge more. The last time I went in to get a quote on a simple job he actually mocked me like a little kid. If I was inclined to put up with that kind of unprofessional attitude I might have actually had some work done and could have given a more thorough review. Learned my lesson and will never go back to cal state muffler again.

Cal State Mufflers is the Worst place to get your car worked on . I went in for a minor weld on my exhaust. I have a brand new 2020 Tacoma , they didn t even use a gas welder, they used a cheap electric welder . On top they didn t remove my O2 sensor like they were supposed to and burned it. They left a big blob of welding steel and my exhaust was still leaking. Frank (the owner) admitted it was a terrible job, so he said he would fix it . I gave him a chance to fix it but still left a leak and said they weren t going to replace the O2 sensor even though I showed him pictures to prove the O2 sensor wasn t burnt when I took it in. When I went to pick up the truck Frank told his worker to give me a refund and to have me sign a paper saying they weren t responsible for fixing my car anymore . They said they wanted to wash their hands already . I went in for a minor welding job but after they burned the 02 sensor it was going to cost way more money. Not only did I have to go through that hassle and waste a whole day of work , but they were refusing to give my truck back unless I took a refund . Of corse I didn t take the refund and the cops forced Them to give me my keys . If you were considering taking your car in I really don t recommend it . Cal State Muffler does trash work , if they mess your car up they take zero responsibility .Service: Exhaust

Had a loud noise coming from my exhaust. They Tac welded my heat shield which fixed the problem. 30 minutes in and out, barely charged me anything.

My muffler came off, my resonator got damaged, and my exhaust pipes needed to be replaced. He gave me a discount and got my car back to me in an hour. I would go here again for exhaust or brake issues.
