Great place. Hubs always goes here and he had to work, so here I went. Was in & out quickly. Smog was efficient and sent to dmv within a few hours.. so i got my tags after noon time. Nice guy. Definitely efficient.

I showed up after 5pm and these guys still squeezed me in. I drive an old beater, but these guys passed it, no games, no hanky panky. They matched lowest price on Internet ($40 including certificate). They were very gracious and looked like they were ready to serve me sugary hot tea from a samovar on their mini-Persian rug.4 years later- same owner. Still fast, courteous and efficient but now $68 for a smog.

I've been going here to smog my cars for the last 5 years. They are reasonably priced and service is FAST. But the lobby is an outdated disaster but their ability to get you in and out quick makes it all worth it. Went in for Smog test and certification right at opening time. He was fast and professional. Certified test results were digitally sent to DMV so we do not need to worry about submitting the results. Thank you for a great service.

I brought in my car for a smog test. The process was quick and painless as the staff was friendly and responsive. Don't be discouraged by the unassuming exterior because the technician knows his business. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Their prices are fair. I will return in two years when I have to get my car smog tested again. Meanwhile, I recommend this business.

Update:I'm here smoging my cars again. Marshall is such a kind man with great customer service I truly appreciate a good business man. We will continue to come to Marshall as long as he continues to provide this service for our community.Previous Review: I called to check the price and he told me come on in! So I did. It was easy to find with google maps. Took me right to it. It's a 2 bay shop and the man who works there has an accent, but I could easily understand him. He was SO nice and welcoming. He had another car in the bay when I arrived, but was finished quickly. I think I waited 5 min at most. There isn't a waiting room so I sat in the chairs provided out front.After my smog was done we went inside the office to sign papers and complete the transaction. He scanned my DMV registration so I can pay my registration online. I was in and out very quickly. So happy!The parking lot looks like it can get fairly full. If you find that the front driveway is too congested, just park out front on the curb or pull past it to the street that runs next to the shop and park on the street.I will be coming here from now on and recommending to all my family! Happy I called him.

I could not find any other stations open on Sunday and this gentleman was very kind and got my car done quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend if you want your car done in an effective and timely manner. I will be coming back when I need another smog.

Highly Recommend Payless Smog!Been coming here for the past 3 years with my family and it was always very friendly service. I did notice they got a new employee to do the smogs and I like him way better than the past guy.I was even given the wifi password to use on my phone as well. Also there's a water dispenser available which I loved because it was so hot that day.I will continue to bring cars here as a long term customer.

Scummy...For old Asian ladies with limited English, the price is higher on Sundays versus Monday.I told my mother to go elsewhere even if it's a few dollars higher elsewhere.

Friendly service. I did t have an appointment and was seen within 10 min. Process was done within 20 min while I waited in my car. Will return in the future and highly recommend.

Outstanding service! Very satisfying! I was able to smog my car with no problems. I will definitely return to smog my other cars. I didn t have to drive far down Blackstone from Friant; so it was convenient. They also have a lot of used cars under $10,000 which makes it convenient if you re looking for one. In my opinion you, should choose this place to smog your vehicles.Thank you Auto Smog!

This shop was extremely efficient and the employees were perhaps the most polite individuals I have ever met. In and out in 20 minutes on a Saturday. Could not ask for a better experience.

Please check Yelp review. This guy is not honest rude and want to get cash. If you pay credit card they over charge. Don t know where the good review come from. Also the place is dirty

I showed up, drove to the near the garage. I gave the paper work and some info and he can began to the smog. About 15 min later he was done and I was on my way. He also did some other checks while I was there and found something was lose. It was a hose and mentioned something about suction. He tightened and I noticed the car was doing better on keeping up speed. So that was a plus.

Usually on Sunday's smog stores are closed so I called the day before to see if they will be open that day because I'm always working and only have Sunday's off & I was very happy to hear to him say he'll come in early just for me as an appointment. I obviously didn't flake with such a good deal!
