My friend was closing down his Auto Machine Shop near Dandos and I was tasked with dispersing with inventory. There were several L24/L26 cylinder heads complete and other items. After the nasty reception I recieved from the front office lady when I brought over a new exhaust header for an L24 ..I made the decision to take the header and several low mileage cylinder heads and just SCAP THEM! This woman needs a serious attitude adjustment if Dandos wants to remain successful. I felt rotten about doing what I did but, don t like the way I was treated at all by this lady.

When you have a 1977 Datsun 280Z with Airconditioning and an Automatic Transmission that is, . . infested with Gremlins (not the American Motor's versions) of the little bug types. The only place to go and the only person on the west coast of California is Ken at Dando's Automotive.Give him time and be patient, because there are places that even experienced owners and former mechanics like me that think they know what's going on are unaware of the craziest of possible problems. I've had my 77 since it was brand new and it took over a year of chasing, but Ken sorted it out when no one else could. I could turn this Thank You into a book, but we'll leave it right here with one very happy owner.

I spent weeks trying to figure out why my engine wasn't getting sufficient gas. Ken is very knowledgeable and diagnosed my 280zx. Turns out my fuel injectors were clogged due to my fuel filter deteriorating along with some other things. I would trust this man to restore my car to 100 percent, but unfortunately I don't have the money for that so Ken replaced my distributor, fuel filter, fuel injector, fuel pump, and ignition coil instead haha.On the day I came to pick up the car he drove it up front and noticed some last minute behaviors and said "I'm sorry I can't give you something that isn't perfect". That moment right there was when I knew Ken truly CARES (obviously I knew before that moment). I'll continue working on my Datsun and replace/fix things I can within my own ability, but I know where I'm taking it the next time I need something major figured out.Thank you Ken for your patience and automotive service. Hope to see you soon (without having to bring you a broken car LOL)!

Dando's did a great job resurrecting our old 2004 Subaru. After a full year of non-operation, it would not even start. They quickly identified the 3 required fixes and had it running and ready for pickup the next day. Ken and Ann are always clear with their communication and able to work with our schedule. This place is the BEST! Ken and his crew are always helpful, friendly and professional. They get the job done right the first time. Over the last seven years I've taken all of my cars (Corvette, Infiniti, Pathfinder) there for maintenance and repairs. Ken and his crew also did a frame off restoration on my 1969 Camaro. It runs better now than when it was new. I can't recommend them enough. I will be a customer for life. Ken and his team at Dando's are fantastic. They took my newly acquired '86 300ZX that hadn't been serviced in 3 years, figured out what needed work and got it all done wonderfully. They went through the car from bumper to bumper and really made a huge difference. I'll definitely continue to get my car serviced here...plus everything was explained patiently and thoroughly...an awesome crew!

Dando's has taken care of my Datsun 280Z since I bought it a few years ago. They know what they are doing and completely understand these vehicles. Ken will help over the phone if you are not able to get the car to him!Their pricing is fair and they are great people to work with.I highly recommend them!

I had my 280zx go in for a full suspension job. Having an old car, I knew it would be a lot of work and pain but Dandos got it done very fast. Despite working on an old vehicle and also running into other problems that I was unaware about, they still got it done really quickly. They knew who to contact about getting my power steering done. They got my AC running again and put in a new master break cylinder (I knew it was bad but wanted them to confirm it). All in all, I haven't stopped smiling! My car drives, feels, grabs awesome!!! I am so happy and thankful for the work that was put into my 280zx by the crew at Dandos. These guys ROCK. I work on my own car and I HATE bringing it to shops because they mess around, play games, and try to go hotrod my car. Most places lie and overcharge. These guys were half the price, twice the quality, and four times the knowledge. I do not give easy stellar reviews. I am even less likely to trust someone near my vehicles. Dandos can work on my car any time I need them in the future. They know their stuff.

My car did not turn on this last weekend. I called Dando's Automotive they helped me right away on the phone. They were caring and concern about me and my car. They took my car in the same day; and Ken, the owner, ran a full diagnostic on my car. Ken found out that the starter needed to be replace. The labor was very reasonable. Thanks for your help.
