Very friendly staff on site. Check in was easy. The rooms were clean and fairly quiet, with newer flooring and no carpets, which is a nice change. Lots of lamps and great lighting. The only noise I heard all night were from random people outside. The split system on the wall worked like a champ and kept the room an easy 76 degrees all night. Would recommend.

I enjoyed every bit of my stay at super 8 Arcata, CA.It was clean, with a beautiful bath tub, which I utilized as I was in need of a relaxing bath.Everything else was amazing as well!I will recommend Super 8 to anyone because it was like staying in an expensive hotel without paying a bunch! Thanks!

Comfortable bed. Quiet room. I slept well. Wifi 139/142 Mbps. The desk chair was not correctly sized for the desk. Low-end breakfast with no meat options.

Booked online through Priceline specifically because it allows pets. Arrived at 9pm after a long drive only to be told they didn't have a room for us. Apparently they only have 3 rooms pets are allowed in and they are all booked. So my family had to scramble and find a place to stay on a busy holiday weekend. Eventually found a place but at nearly double the price. The clerk said that it states on Priceline that you have to call the hotel to confirm they have a pet room available. First that totally defeats the purpose of booking online and Second I look over every piece of info and do not see anywhere where it says to call if you have pets. So due to their inflexibility, lack of clarity and incorrect information on Priceline I was stuck paying an additional $400 over and above what I expected to pay for a room for the weekend

The rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast is just bags they hand out in the morning, instead of the breakfast room they advertise. The Tesla destination charger is useful. Eel River Brewpub is next door for a decent dinner.A little pricey for what it is.

This place pleasantly surprised me at how well kept and clean it was. I've stayed in Super 8 before and it hasn't been the greatest experience. The room was nice and comfortable, the bathroom has a jacuzzi tub, but unfortunately the jets didn't even turn on, so that was disappointing, but otherwise was great! The breakfast was pretty good, the wifi is a bit hard to connect to at first, but eventually it worked out.

Very clean. Always has everything as expected. ( Sometimes I don't like hotels not having, lotions, shampoos, not enough tissues, etc) but this One never disappoints me. excellent price. Will recommend it to anyone wanting a decent room at a good price. Oh! (Forgot to mention), both receptionists here are great.

The GM and other staff were all very friendly and hospitable. Rooms looks recently updated and were clean. Breakfast area was nice and clean and taken care of in the mornings. The beds and pillows were nice and comfortable and the rooms were large enough that we could spread out and have a nice place to put our stuff. My only complaint was that it was obvious the towels had some wear to them. The washcloths were stained and may be time to be replaced. Other than that, the stay was great. Definitely recommend it.

We had a pretty good experience. I was traveling with my older parents who got a room with only one double bed in it. They had a pretty good roll-away brought in for me and it worked. My Aunt and Uncle used the "disabled" room but ended up going to Best Western because the room was just too tight. With two queen beds and no extra seating the room seemed too small for anyone with a wheel chair. Did not have a pool or work-out room. Breakfast was nice and basic. Faint smell of smoke even though we had a non-smoking room. Staff was patient and friendly.

This Super 8 is conveniently located within walking distance of two restaurants + the Fortuna Riverwalk. My research revealed that it was the most economically priced among all four of the "Riverwalk" locations in Fortuna. The desk and housekeeping staff are friendly and responsive. I felt safe at all times. The wooden room furniture showed some wear and tear, but this was definitely not a detraction from the convenience and overall very good experience as a guest at this hotel. I would definitely stay here again, if my future travels necessitate another stay in Fortuna.

Location is easy to reach from the highway. The rooms were absolutely terrible. There were dead smashed bugs on the wall. The door to the room was not sealed at the bottom which not only let light in, but negated any bit of sound proofing that might have been there. The mini fridge was on the fritz and made strange noises. The front desk's only solution was to unplug it, which means no saved leftovers. The handicap shower had no slant in it causing water to run all over the tile in the toilet/shower room. Made me fell like a foot fungus disaster waiting to happen. Not recommend at all.

Not a fancy place. Great price. Super clean. Very quiet. Nice staff. This was the perfect stop to rest up before heading to the Redwood National Forest. We asked for food recommendations... they recommended the restaurant next door. Good food. I would definitely recommend staying in Fortuna instead of Eureka. Its not much further. But Fortuna has such a great small town vibe.

I only stayed for a night while passing through, didn't know what to expect, was pleasantly surprised. No complaints other than lack of variety for breakfast. Room was bigger than expected, quiet, clean, etc. Encountered two different people at the front desk and they were both pleasant. Easy to get in and out of the lot.

My boyfriend is staying here while he works in Fortuna, so I came to stay a few nights and visit and it was great. The King room we got was so recently updated, modern furniture, wood floors, huge black/white canvas of redwoods behind the bed, and I was shocked. The bathroom was perfect too. Compared to the other run down places he had been staying in Fortuna, he did not want to stay anywhere but here!

I rarely leave reviews but feel compelled to do so after my recent stay at this hotel. I have three complaints- we arrived late and the shower did not work, the next morning after great finesse we were able to get it to work, but in general the hotel is not in great shape, especially for what is charged for a Super 8 motel. When booking the website clearly advertised a breakfast only to have nothing provided. There was a sign that said due to COVID no breakfast, but I have stayed at many hotels during COVID and they have always at least offered a grab and go breakfast. Finally the the owner/manager appears to look for any reason to upcharge. He charged me an extra $40 for not specifying the exact number of people in the room. I even rented the most expensive room at the hotel with 3 queen beds and rented another room upon our arrival to accommodate our whole party. He very rudely told me that I was a liar for not reporting my party size correctly upon booking. If it wasn't 11:00 at night and we were leaving early the next morning for a backpack trip, we would have canceled and left. In the end I paid over $200 for a night in a Super 8 motel. Do yourself a huge favor and find another spot, I would suggest the Best Western next door would be a much better choice. Review to be posted in Hotels.com, Yelp, and Expedia.
