Took in for them to diagnose a noise issue and trans slipping and they said nothing was wrong with it. Now my transmission went completely out. Will not go to them for service, poor diagnosing and sevice

I brought my car in not running after not running for 6 months expecting the car to take a very long time to be repaired . The car only took a week to repair . Mike was very helpful and transparent about everything it was going to take to fix the car . He provided and guided me with the best thing to do . Mike is very trustworthy and does not mess around definitely gets the job done . The team was great as well . Overall a great experience I would definitely recommend anyone to come here and will continuously come back for anything I may need .Service: Transmission

I called the shop on short notice letting them know my car was getting towed and it would be there within the hour and Phillip said to come through. When I got there Phillip was super cool and made everything super simple, he even helped push my car into the shop beside his team!! The transmission fluid hose had come loose on the highway so the fluid had come out and I thought my transmission was fried for sure but they checked it out to make sure free of charge. After reassuring me that the transmission was good to go they only charged me 89 for the fluid and 150 for the labor they had it done just a couple of hours after dropping it off I definitely did not expect service to be that quick! I went the next day to pick up the car and Phillip was super transparent with the service charge there was no extra fees of any kind and they offer a 90 day period where you can bring the car back if you run into any problems with the repairs which is legit. From beginning to end I was completely taken care of and service was as good as it was fast. My transmission is shifting nice and smooth again These dudes are pros, you can't go wrong bringing your car here Appreciate you Phillip, you and the team were a big help!! Service: Transmission

This is the place to go when you have car trouble! I had the greatest service done to my vehicle thanks to Philip! He went above and beyond getting my car back to life! It took time and even brought it back for a check up and it all went smoothly. Rome was not built in a day and hard work takes time to get the job done right and Philip has been amazing through the whole process updating me and making sure i knew step by step what was going on! My experience at AAMCO has been very pleasant to say the least. The Tech Edwin is very knowledgeable and gave me different options I could do for my budget. The manager Phillip was very empathetic to my needs and offered financing and other options. I felt very comfortable here with having Edwin and Phillip work on my car. They're very knowledgeable and experienced, and I'll continue bringing my car here. If you want good work and excellent customer service, this is the spot! Ask for Phil with the deals.By the way the took me no questions asked as a walk in! No appointment, I was very happy.

Highly recommend this AAMCO to anybody needing work on their cars! I have been having transmission issues with my car and Phillip was very upfront and honest about the kind of work my car would need. As a girl who doesn't know much about cars, I am so grateful for his help as he could have easily taken advantage of the situation. It is evident he truly cares about his customers and is willing to help!

Phillip and his team were awesome! They were so quick to run a diagnostic on my car and repair the issue I was having with it! The issue: My car s engine transmission kept jumping everytime I accelerated or changed from reverse to drive .-initially I thought my car mounts were broken and needed to be repaired. repairing the car mounts would have cost me over $400-$500When Phillip and his team ran the diagnostic on my car it turns out all that needed to be repaired was two little wires!! They definitely saved me money and time! I m so grateful. Thank you so much guys!Services: Transmission, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

Awesome work, services Aamco provides! Had my truck back to me within 2 weeks, he calls to let you know how your vehicle is doing and what it needs done, when the parts will arrive! After my first call and speaking with Phillip, I knew this was my best choice to get my transmission done at. Phillip knew what was wrong with me just telling him my issues. He dealt with my insurance promptly and secured the authorization, gave me a good price on the out of pocket expense to upgrade to a new transmission instead of the used one. All the work was done timely and the car runs great! Very pleased with the customer service and the mechanical work completed. Recommend them and will return if any of my other cars have issues.

Phillip runs the most unethical business I ve seen in the car industry. He will make false promises of fixing your car just to get it back and immediately need to get it serviced for complete repair again! He won t return my calls not but I m not surprised considering how RUDE he was the WHOLE time!!.I should have read reviews before taking my car here because it is CLEAR all the good/FIVE start reviews are FAKE!!! There s no way people get talked to how Phillip talks to his customers, don t have a car for months and give this place a 5 star rating.I hope to hear from Michael responding to my review since he is quick to respond to the good reviews.Or actually, don t respond to the review and call me directly & stop dodging me!!!UPDATE: Thank you Michael for your response. Myself and my aunt will be emailing the email you provided. My aunt really wants her car fixed and needs It back after all these MONTHS.

We originally thought that we were having transmission problems with our 2016 Challenger. We called the warranty company that handles our extended warranty. They recommend that we take the vehicle to Aamco in Fontana.One call to Phillip at Aamco was all it took, he told us to bring it in and they would diagnose and handle everything.Phillip is Awesome, he found the problem, contacted the warranty company and we got the car repaired with absolutely no issues.We highly recommend Aamco in Fontana on Arrow route. They perform other automotive work besides transmissions, Phillip and the rest of the staff are Very knowledgeable and Honest. Had my car towed in for a transmission issue. 2-3 weeks later they had it up and running again. I looked over my car before I left and they broke my interior door handle. Phillip help make good on it and paid to have it fixed but I had to go get the part. I drove my car in the parking lot at first and it didn't feel very good. It was riding rough and shaking. I told them and he they said it was normal. I drove to O'Reily to get the door handle and it still did not ride correct. Ran high on rpm and did feel like it wasn't shifting correctly. When I came back told them again still didn't feel correctly. They said it was normal and the transmission just needed to set in and they need it back in 10 business days. They told me I could drive it to Vegas and back no problem. I took my car to work that day and again with high rpms to. When I got off work at night and was driving home my truck felt like it skipped and the check engine light came on. Had another O'Reily check it and it was the transmission again. Had to have it towed home since they were closed and not open on the weekends. Cost me another $250. Probably out of a car another 2-3 weeks. Called ammco in the morning and spoke to Phillip again. he sent a tow from to my house to help me get the car back to the shop at his expense trying to help out. Phillip had great customer service to help me he even took the time to explain what was going on with my car and how maintenance on a transmission should go, I felt comfortable there, 5 star. The bad review comes to the owner of the shop who says I should leave of left my car in a parking lot for the weekend and towed it to another shop.Update: got a call back from Phillip and the owner will not cover my tow after they said the car would be good. The owner will also not cover a rental. I will not take my car back. Now I'm waiting for corporate to return my call and it's been over 3 hours.Newest update: after a month of the car in the shop, Phillip was giving me updates on what the car progress was doing and that his mechanics were working to get my truck fixed. Today I picked up the car and the mechanic took time to drive with me and explain what all went wrong and what all they did to make sure my vehicle was fixed. My torque converter ended up breaking after the initial repairs and the aamco crew repaired it and some other things. Also, the owner Michael was there in person to talk to me today about what all happened. He listened and worked to fixed the issues also and work on customer satisfaction. After talking I felt they really did what was needed and more. I wanna thank Phillip on his great customer service, his mechanics on their time on the car, and Michael for talking to me and making things right.Service: Transmission

I just had my car towed here because it was having problems starts and I dropped my car off to Phillip, and he took great care of me. He took great care of my Lexus (my first car) and did not try to charge me anything extra except for what I asked him to do. Its hard finding mechanics that will do their job with integrity, and Phillip did that for me.

Im glad I brought my car here, unfortunately my transmission needed work, and ended up having to be rebuilt. Fortunately for me Phillip made it a very easy process and explained everything in detail. He was very helpful and informative and I felt comfortable having the work done here. The car was here for less than a week and he looked for ways to save me money and stay within the quoted max. I really appreciate that! Honest work and friendly service along with peace of mind with the Aamco warranty. I enjoy driving my car again. Thanks to Phillip and his team.

Great place people are on point come to find out I did not need a transmission just need it adjustment. Saved alot of money. Dealer wanted to charge me a arm and a leg. Thank you Aamco Downey for saving me money

Philip and his team get the job done, talk to him, he'll work with you and find solutions. " I want to have people back on the road, in their own cars".. is something Philip expressed to me over the phone during the time my car had been in his shop. And that assured me that there are true people working here that care about your troubles.They offer payment plans with decent credit, or good down payments, if you think you have a chance for that ask them for the agencies that can do that for mechanic work.Thank you Fontana AAMCO.

Took my car to this place and spoke to the Manager Phillip. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! I decided to take my car somewhere else!In turn, my friend had already taken her car there and after so called repair AND payment, car was not fixed and she took it back! Almost 2 months and she has still not received her car repaired! In fact, on a visit to go check on the status of her vehicle, this SAME manager gave her the phone number to parts and told HER to keep calling for it. He was telling her to DO HIS JOB!! She has paid for the work and has yet to get her car back. I m bothered by this and at the same time, glad I took my car somewhere else! Something needs to be done about this guys lack of customer service and extreme lack of manners!! I would never have someone like this working for me!! Seems like he has issues with female customers since the so called good reviews are from male customers!!

Wonderful service! Phillip Robinson was wonderful! He made me feel comfortable and confident leaving my car for service. He was able to check, diagnose and fix the problem within one working day! I feel I received excellent service and will definitely recommend this location!

BEST SERVICE HANDS DOWN!! Came to change out air and carbon filters. They didn't feel right charging me for something so simple so they did it for free!!!! I came back and got transmission service. My car is running better than ever. Phillip and his staff are amazing. They were friendly, professional, and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. Those who gave bad reviews are just negative people. These are the most trustworthy mechanics around. I highly recommend.
