BEWARE! The manager Tom Craighead lied to me throughout my experience. I was told I needed my entire suspension system replaced on a car with 30,000 miles on it. Rear struts, front struts, rack and pinion, etc. and installed the wrong struts rated for a 2,500 lbs vehicle on my 5,800 lbs Cadillac. When the struts blew out within the first two weeks of installation, I returned my car to Craighead who assured he would fix it to only then reinstall the same 2,500 lbs rated struts on my 5,800 lbs vehicle. Only this time, the shop lifted my car on the jack incorrectly and caused massive damage to the bottom of the vehicle. This was confirmed by both my insurance and Caliber Collision who repaired the damage. Craighead then said sorry for the damage and promised to make it right . I then had to call the owner, Joe to have someone from their other shop look at the work. That is when Alex, the shop manager from Joe s Sacramento location, advised me that indeed the incorrect struts were ordered and installed TWICE! I was then bartered with about having to pay even more money to get the right parts for my car to have them installed and get my car back. This was all after numerous reassurances from Craighead, the initial work was quality. What a joke! This shop put myself, my wife, my four children, and YOU the public in danger by putting me on the road multiple times with improper parts. Let s also consider the damage it has done to my car. How much strain on the drive train? How much extra wear on the CV boots, the power steering? Then after my car is finally returned to me, Craighead and Company then turn around and deny the lift damage was caused by their shop. I have posted the text thread showing guilt, I have posted pics of the wrong struts, and the damage to my undercarriage. I am truly hurt by the level of disrespect I feel from the totality of the situation. The only bright spot I can muster to report is Alex, the Sacramento location manager was helpful and kind. But double thumbs down for the business!

The experience was excellent. Wes and his team thoroughly evaluated my F150 and they repaired the bearings and struts. The difference in the ride is remarkable. My previous long time mechanic in town retired and now I found my new go to shop. Folsom Automotive sent a complete analysis with pictures and a follow up report. It gave me confidence. But the best assurance is the ride. I love my truck. Thank you Folsom Automotive.

I called around to find a shop that would work on my wife s 2012 Fiat transmission. After six or so calls to other shops, Folsom said they would look at it. They diagnosed it right away, a broken CV axle, and repaired it quickly, at a reasonable price. As part of their service, they do a very comprehensive assessment of any problems the car may have. There was no pressure from them to approve anything on the list. I appreciate that. The guys working there were very friendly and pleasant.

After having a hard time finding a Automotive shop to service my Land Rover Discovery I found Folsom Automotive Service. The first experience was awesome. I had a A/C fan that was malfunctioning and got it over to them as soon as they opened. They got my part in as quickly as they could repaired and got me back on the road very quickly. Of course I went back to have a oil change and they considered my situation and got me in and out with a quickness. Let s just say they went over and beyond the customer service expected. I highly recommend using their service for any need. I could not be a happier customer. Pricing and service is Tippy Top.

My husband Donald and I had to get my sister s car inspected and repaired to pass an emissions test so it could be sold for her estate.Both Wes and Tom were incredibly helpful and kept us up to date as they found various issues with the vehicle.The technician was able to diagnose and repair the problem, then after putting a few more miles on the car, it passed the emissions testing with flying colors!We re very thankful to everyone at Folsom Automotive for their expertise and professionalism. We will continue taking our vehicles here for both regular maintenance and for diagnosing any issues we may experience with our vehicles.

I have been taking my vehicle to Folsom Automotive Services for the last 7 months after disappointment with dealership shop. They always delivered impressive service in any way. They are competent and trustworthy and work in a timely manner and all of that is a huge positive in my busy life. They show amazing work ethics and integrity which is definitely not common elsewhere. I will be back when my vehicle needs service and would definitely recommend them.

Most comprehensive report on my vehicle that I've ever seen! Dealer would've scheduled me out a month; Folsom Automotive Service was able to take me in same day, and my truck was ready next day. Also, quite a bit of work was done in that time. Staff was friendly and honest. Will be returning; a great alternative to the "dealer mess" that exists in Folsom!

I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how amazing this business is. They are very professional and responsive. They have a portal that keeps you updated every step of the way with pictures and detailed descriptions of potential problems and current problems. Wes in the office runs the show, he is extremely knowledgeable and transparent and made me comfortable proceeding with the necessary repairs. I would highly recommend this company. These guys are honest, professional, and a pleasure to deal with.

Amazing service! Passing through the town during rain, and wiper suddenly broke on the highway. I came to the shop and they were on a lunch break. However they still fixed the wiper for me! Really appreciated.

I purchased a battery from this facility and was quoted two different prices. When we finally had the battery installed, I was told the labour would be one price and then on the bill it was considerably greater. I would make sure they quote everything in writing, as I really felt it was a bait and switch.When they were asked to provide an explanation for the difference I was told, look on your bill ! They were reluctant to address the difference stating, well, that s the price .I think I would choose someplace else next time.

Folsom Automotive Service was a great choice! I got an oil change and tire rotation, and they completed a full inspection as well. All interactions were super friendly and helpful, and the work was completed in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend them!

We have been using Folsom auto for years yet ever since the sale of the business years ago we have not been happy with the service.Let s just say be prepared for them to find 20 different things wrong with your car that you didn t even bring it in for. Just don t feel like they are the most trustworthy group. I hate to leave a poor review but we won t be back.

Went here for the first time and it was awesome. Brought my car in for an oil leak. They diagnosed the problem and recommended I take it to a dealer. There was no charge! They are super honest and care about doing what is right for the customer. I will be coming back!

Had THE best experience at Folsom Automotive. I made a huge mistake and overfilled the oil in my car. It was leaking more and I knew I had to get it looked at. I drove over to the shop unannounced and put my worries to rest. They took me home while they waiting for an opportunity to squeeze my car in, then adjusted the levels and after they fixed my mistake they brought the car back to me. And they didn t charge me. Such amazing service and I will continue to bring my car here for years to come.

Folsom Automotive provides hands down 5 star service. All work was explained to me in a patient, professional and descriptive manner. The prices were fair and beat out two other quotes I had received from competing businesses in the Folsom area. I spoke with Tom on the phone at least three times before bringing my car in and his knowledge of parts and service along with his kind demeanor was a breath of fresh air compared to past experiences at auto shops. I highly recommend Folsom Automotive as both as they provide both expert and ethical service.

Wow! What a great shop! Took my Jeep in for the 80k service and was pleasantly surprised on all aspects of their service. Tom kept in touch through a text system that kept me informed each step of the way. I was able to okay an extra repair and Tom was able to match a competitor without me researching so I feel like the best price was actually given.I feel well taken care of at Folsom Automotive and actively recommend them to my friends and family.

I had an awesome experience with this shop. To my surprise I needed a lot of issues fixed with my car. They addressed everything, explained it simply enough so I was actually able to comprehend the need, but also did all they could to help narrow down the cost I think Tom was who I appreciated above all, he was so honest and knowledgeable, understood my stress of the whole situation. I have full trust in this shop

I work at the AT&T store down the street, about 5 mins away. I went in today angry and very frustrated! I came into the shop hostile because of what I perceived to be overcharges for my co-workers car, she is like a little sister to me. So I have to admit that I came in very upset but the two guys working in the front truly took care of us. At first, I thought they where trying to get over on her but after speaking with them I could tell they truly care about customer service and actually taking care of their customers. I wouldn't be saying it if I didn't believe it. After doing everything they could, I was calmed and felt like they really did take care of us. Sorry for coming in hostile and thank you for taking your time and having the patience to truly take care of my co-worker and her car issues. Come in anytime for AT&T service, I promise I'm a nice guy!

I took my car here after an over heating incident. I was spoken down to when asking questions and a thorough work up was not done. My car was here for over 24 hours and I was never once updated unless I called. I was told that my car was driven around and never once overheated, but when I left and drove my car a few miles, it immediately overheated. I was charged $200 and had to immediately take it somewhere else to be worked up. The issue was found and taken care of. Do not waste your time or money here. Also, as a woman, I felt so dismissed and I definitely won t return.

Customer service and time management - 2/5Quality of car service (oil change and tire rotation) - 4/5I had taken an appointment a week in advance for car drop off early in the morning and pickup during lunch. On the phone, the customer rep at the office agreed and confirmed the timings. However on the day of drop-off early in the morning (8 AM), they said that they can only do the service if I pickup at 5 PM. I had no other option but to go with it since I was already there. This is something that the company can improve upon if they want to retain their customers after the first service.!From the aspect of oil change and tire rotation, the service was good since the person gave me good details both electronically and manually regarding the future services that need to be done.Services: Tires, Oil change

I haven't done actual business with them because I couldn't get the answer to the question I asked. I called to request a simple ball park estimate for rotors and brake pads(assuming they all need to be replaced) and got some bizarre run around about bringing it in to do some sort of diagnostic to check hydraulics and other items. I literally asked for a ballpark estimate for strictly for rotors and pads. I'm not trying to spend money to find other things "that need to be replaced". Tom was nice but It honestly just seems like another way to get money. I just want the pads and rotors, it's that simple.The crazy thing about this is I called another locally owned auto service and they happily gave me a ballpark. They understood the assignment and they weren t(seemingly) trying to get one over on me. Obviously there are plenty of other places to take my business, but this didn t sit well. Seriously, why can t you just do the brake pad and rotor change without checking everything else? I just can t wrap my head around it.

My car would not start and I suspected it was my battery. My normal mechanic could not diagnose it until the next day and possible parts could be another day, but Frank Rice (Service Advisor) at Folsom Automotive Service said they could help me as soon as I could get the car to them.The tow truck was delayed and I arrived to their shop at 4:00 pm, so my expectations were low. They were able to run a quick diagnostic, which confirmed the battery and I drove out at 5:30 pm! The whole staff was helpful and nice and it was nice to find a yummy brewery (Red Bus Brewery) a short walk away.As a female, finding a reliable mechanic in a time of need is surely my mechanic for life!Service: Auto battery replacement
