This 5 star might be premature, but can always come back and adjust. Good vibes no-nonsense shop. The kind of place where u actually talk with the tech. THATs the kind of mechanic u want to have. One u can actually talk to. A place in queens, with a man to boot!

Not impressed with Bruce Weimer s temperament when he is having a bad day(s). I m sure most of the time he does excellent work. However, if I m told the car is ready for pick-up and I show up each time to find out it is not ready, I have the right to ask if the car is truly ready without having to endure false accusations from Bruce. The work performed still needed adjustment, but rather than deal with a hot head, I took it elsewhere to have it finished.Afterall, just step inside the office at Otis Automotive, and you ll see signs posted on the walls about them kicking you off their premises (or words to that affect) should you complain or bring up a question that the boss doesn t like. So, not too inviting customer service signage to begin with take that as a warning! The crew there most likely think those signs are cute and funny, but I consider them offensive to all customers. Bruce, the customer is always right. Bruce, when the customer is wrong, read the sentence before this - the customer is ALWAYS RIGHT. Now that is excellent service.

They seem good at the mechanics of their job and seem friendly but roosters shouldn t be on top of a customer s car when having it parked in their lot. This is kind of a basic part of running a business - keeping wild animals off the property so that they don t create a liability

I go to auto lube oil change. My oil sensor was turning on and auto lube recommended I go to otis automotive. So I went Feb 2022. I was very happy that I found a reliable place to work on my car.. Well at least I thought. I called June 2023 because My check oil light kept turning on and off for a year. So I finally called to see if I can come in to have them work on it again. After relaying the problem to the receptionist she kept saying it s been a year. I explained to her I understand but I m not asking for free work I was willing to come in and pay for any work needed. It was a very frustrating I couldn t get a word in. She accused me of being more upset than I was. When honestly I just wanted an appointment to get my oil sensor fixed. There needs to be professionalism instead of a woman who literally blows up. Life is hard enough why make it harder. This is the first time in my 30 years I ve ever filed a complaint. That was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life.

Top Notch Shop!!!! Recommended to me by a friend and Boy Howdy am i glad they did!! The Gentlemen (they were polite, well spoken fellas) working at the shop were great!! Worked quickly and keep me apprised of the work being done at every turn. Bruce, the owner, is very polite and Down to Earth .. he made sure that I was comfortable (ie: warm, it was very cold that day) while I waited for my car.The whole team work as a Family and know and greet their Customers by name. I can't recommend them enough!

Best most reliable mechanic in Fair Oaks, we used to drive out to Rancho to a different mechanic but started seeing alot of people recommending Otis's on social media and they were totally right, super friendly staff--honest and it's right in the Village so you can go have some Badfish for a breakfast burrito and coffee after dropping off your vehicle

Doesn t matter what the issue is, this place will figure it out- and it s the right diagnosis at the right costI have used this place for 7+ years now, with 2 vehicles( hit a deer with the first, otherwise this place would have had it running for years) Whether it s Kristine, Brian, or Bruce (or any others) the service is friendly, informative, and honest.Services: Auto battery replacement, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance, Auto brake replacement, Oil change

Bruce and his wonderful colleagues at Otis Automotive never cease to amaze me with their excellent skills in repairing anything automotive, their efficiency in diagnosing and repairing cars, and with their friendly spirit of generosity and good will that pervades their very being. Whereas most car dealers can't schedule repairs for several months later than they're actually needed, Otis Automotive folks do their best to get you in and out in record time - a rare gift today! I always come away from their shop with a satisfied smile and great gratitude for their work and attitude. Thank you for over 30 years of excellent work in serving our local community! Great find! I called several different repair shops before deciding on Otis Automotive in Fair Oaks village. They have 5 stars on google with 33 reviews and 72 recommendations on NextDoor! Turns out that's because they are fantastic! We've gone to numerous repair shops with mixed results, hence looking for a new one now. They provided the most knowledgeable assessment of what I needed for my car and at the lowest price. WIN WIN! I was impressed with how friendly they were when I dropped my car off today and with their communication (thank you, Christine!). They were super accommodating when I couldn't pick up my car before closing and then they charged less than they quoted. Who does that!? We've found our forever mechanic! Good thing because we have four cars and a truck!

Bruce was great. I had a tow truck drop off my Honda Odyssey and he had it repaired and ready to pick up the next day. I had a bad alternator. He kept me informed the whole time. I couldn t have asked for better service. They will be servicing my cars from now on!!

Had my 65 Thunderbird convertible in for a few items, some small and some not so small. I must say Bruce knows his way around older cars. Did the jobs on time and saved me a bunch of money. Would highly recommend Otis Automotive!

Couldn't ask for a better experience. We brought a car in and they were able to diagnose the actual problem and provide a much cheaper solution than we were expecting. Everyone was really nice and everything was explained thoroughly. Will definitely be returning next time I have car issues! Highly recommended.

Bruce and the crew are great. I have a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 xl that I inherited from my dad and I wish that I had taken it to Bruce first. He fixed all the problem other places had messed up. He and the crew are trustworthy and knowledgeable. So Says Kent Bastian USN Retired.

Nothing worse than breaking down while traveling. My car overheated about 20 miles from Fair Oaks as I was headed home to the Fresno area. On a tip from my sister I had the car towed to Otis Automotive. They immediately got to work diagnosing and repairing my car. When I picked up the car early the next day, the final price was $100 less than the estimate. Christine is delightful and kept me continually updated regarding my car's status Bruce is the absolute best. I am so grateful to have been in such great hands when out of town and broken down. Thank you Otis!!!

This guy is great. He is not the cheapest, however he only does the work that you asked for and does not try to upsell you. And he usually gives you a little extra if possible, meaning he took care of my check engine light for free and then he also gave me a ride home and pick me up later when it was finished a great guy finished

Otis Automotive is seriously set above any other repair shop ive gone too. Brian is my mechanic of choice, honest and fair 100% of the time, besides being highly skilled and knowledgable. Kristine runs the front office in the most professional and hospitable manner imaginable. I highly recommend.

Best mechanics ever to do business with. And honest beyond belief! Great office staff too. If not familiar with "old"Fair Oaks township, I would advise calling ahead to get driving instructions.

The Law is to prevent unscrupulous Employers from forcing their employees to pay for company operating costs. Do employers expect their employees to show up empty handed? one set of shop tools is a commonly attempted unlawful scam and employee abuse, Have a nice day, 5 star service.

Bruce and his staff always fix the problem - if there is one - and never in the 35 years I've been going there have they ever given me anything but excellent service and work. I can't recommend them highly enough!
