Fantastic shop. Very intelligent and excited about Volvos. They do great work at a good price. The staff is willing to talk to you about everything they do and what's recommended. I have always had a good experience with this shop. The are relatively quick on the jobs as well.

My experiences with Ming's Volvo Specialists have been excellent. They are my go to shop for any issues with my Volvo. They diagnose correctly, get it fixed, and I never have to take it back because of issues. They deliver when promised, have excellent customer service and are very helpful and friendly to deal with. They've easily won my continued business.

I have been using Ming's for more than 5 years. The quality of their work is excellent, done on time, honest and fair pricing. Wayne is very easy to work with and a true gentleman. Ming and his staff of highly skilled mechanics always make sure the repairs are done right and I never have to take my car back to have the repair redone. Our entire family have been happy customers for 20+ years. Not only do we have our Volvo S60 serviced there, but several non-Volvo vehicles as well. The Ming s team handles repairs and services quickly, reliably, and at a reasonable cost. My husband and I have taken our cars to Ming for over 20 years (after having several bad experiences in other foreign auto repair places) and have always been very happy. We've had Volvos and a Mercedes that have been very well taken care of, promptly, expertly, and inexpensively. We are totally satisfied with them.

Went in for the first time as I have just recently purchased a used Volvo. I went to Ming's because of the great reviews, the friendliness I experienced on the phone, and my car, with its previous owner, was regularly serviced there for the last 10 years. I went in to replace the headlights with an after market brand and replace a front headlight washer cap. One headlight did not fit properly so I decided to (after both had been installed ) to send both of them back and try a restoration kit instead (which they also do there, but I did on my own and they came out great. 3m Kit). The other piece they could not replace, I needed something more that was thought to be had by the Volvo parts dept., but turned out it was the wrong part and the other was not available. Wayne made sure that I got a safety inspection as I am driving to Alaska. They went above and beyond helping me out, giving me information on what to fix with my car, giving me information on the history ( I had the previous owners permission- privacy is respected here) and all this they ended up doing for free as nothing technically got done, but they certainly did a lot of work. I wanted to pay for their time. The takeaway- I wish this shop was going to be where I live in Alaska. I trust these guys and felt very well taken care of. Highly recommend!

I had Ming Volvo inspect my recently-purchased Nissan Versa for general issues. They quickly found worn/broken bushings on both front wheels, and showed me all the details of the problem right there on the shop floor. They kept my car over the weekend to complete the repairs, and gave me a loaner car to use in the meantime. They completed the repairs quickly, effectively, and for a reasonable price. So happy to have found this place. We have used other Volvo "specialists" but never left happy. 2nd visit to Mings now and we are very pleased with the service, the price, and attention to detail they have given us. Really fast turnaround also. I would highly recommend using this place if you own a Volvo, you just won't get a better price, service, or turnaround elsewhere. Super friendly owners and workers. My son replaced the transmission of his Lexus GS 300 at Ming s Volvo with very reasonable cost compared with other shops, three years ago. Their service is perfect. My son s car runs smoothly like the original.Recently we found our Honda Pilot had brake problem, this Sunday (7/15/2018), we drove it to Ming s shop, and the problem was diagnosed, and a new braking system was installed at very reasonable price. And we also got about 15 % discount. We are very pleased with their service and would like to recommend to anyone who needs auto service.

Ming gave me an honest estimate on the much needed repairs on my vt70 2006 Volvo.Although we haven t solved the computer miscommunication yet, my car now feels like a Volvo again: he replaced the bushings and axles and tie rods for less than the dealer charges, and even rounded the total sum off even more.Great service.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I have been bringing my 2005 Volvo there for years. They are always honest and have been taking great care of my car. I don t feel like they are making work the way auto dealer service departments do. They just keep and eye on everything and make recommendations accordingly. My car has 174,000 miles on it and is still running well. I feel like it is in good hands with Ming.

I have been a customer for 10 years and always trusted them to do service on my cars. They are very honest about their charges and never overcharge . They are unlike other repair shops do not find unessory things to do. Most services they will do on the same day. If they need to take the car for overnight they always loan a car for no charge. Also, Wayne and Ming are very pleasant in their manners. I could not recommend anybody else for your Volvo. Thanks Ming Volvo for your service.

I ve been a customer for several years. First with my S40 and now with my second Volvo an XC60. Finding honest car service can be difficult but Ming s is always on the level and conservative when it comes to repairs and replacements. Wayne always goes out of his way to explain the works and parts, ensures Volvo parts are used where necessary, and tries to give options for price and priority of repairs where appropriate. The job is always done quickly which I appreciate tremendously. Living out of the area now I still coordinate to make sure I get my service done when I m in town because i don t want to go anywhere else!My parents came to Ming s back when they first opened in Escondido and it s clear why they re a city staple for good solid work all of these years later.

Ming Volvo continues a legacy of superb service. A quarter of a century ago (!) started bringing our cars to Ming's for anything I couldn't do myself. Volvos, Lexus, Honda, Subaru ... You will not find a more proficient Volvo mechanic in all of Escondido!

This is an absolutely great automotive service business. They have provided excellent service to several of my vehicles, over many years, at a very fair price. They always try to do their very best, and are always honest and honorable. Just one example: My car's transmission had a meltdown, in the middle of nowhere, recently. I called Triple-A for a tow. Since they wouldn't let me ride in the truck-cab with the driver, because of the pandemic, I called ahead to ask this shop for a ride. Lilly, quickly came to get me. Soon, they replaced the failed transmission with an excellent quality used transmission, at a very reasonable price. They have also fixed problems with my other vehicles over the years; like re-creating a hard-to-find fuel injection system for an old and obsolete car, quickly and at a very reasonable price. Frankly, I can't say enough great things about this place. Please take my word for it.

Wayne Ming runs his business with efficiency, Volvo wisdom and a HEART! He is super knowledgeable and truly cares about his customers' safety and happiness. We wouldn't take our aging car anywhere else because we know he has the knowledge to keep it running, but doesn't try to talk us into unnecessary repairs. Thank you!!

My car is currently at Ming Volvo! So far so good! They have called several times to update me on the situation. I brought in a 2000 V70XC that had not been started in over a year, and needed a new hardline for the rear breaks.He went ahead and gave me a complete rundown of every little thing that s wrong with the car! His attention to detail was superb!So far I have not gotten my car back yet, but I found Wayne to be very helpful, very warm, and easy to talk to.One thing I can definitely say is that these guys know their Volvo s! All of the small minute changes that Volvo made from year to year, they are aware of all of them. Other mechanics that don t specialize in Volvo, I have had to explain Volvo-specific stuff to them. There guys taught me a few things!

I work on my own cars unless it more intrusive work, and Wang was very helpful in assessing whether or not it makes sense to bring my car in! When I face something out of my comfort zone, our S40 will definitely be at this shop. Probably sooner than later...Great customer service!!
