Escondido Auto Tech is the best!! They do a comprehensive job when analyzing problems and provide a detailed explanation of the options and possible solutions. They helped identify and remove a large rat's nest hidden deep in the engine area of my car when we started noticing a bad smell - great job! They also always proactively check for other potential issues with the car while it is being serviced to identify potential upcoming issues.They previously helped solve an issue with a faulty door lock sensor. The local Honda dealership gave me the runaround and were rude to me when I tried to get it corrected - it was the third such failure with the car! I've seen other published complaints about the same issue, but they wanted me to charge me a very large fee to analyze and fix it. I brought it to Escondido Auto Tech and they corrected the issue by simply adding a magnet to the door area...free of charge!! These guys are the best!

Once again my experience with Frank and crew at Escondido Auto Tech was a great experience. I needed front brakes and they did the job with OEM parts in under 3 hours. Always a professional group at this location. Both my children take their vehicles here!

Walked in and George at front desk immediately welcomed me in..I expressed a high pitch coming from my engine and he pumped the hood and offered me to bring the car back later that day to get a full inspection. They offered me a courtesy local drop off to my home while my SUV was repaired. I was so thankful becauae my toddler fell asleep they helped me with removing the booster and all. Got my SUV back next day all issues resolved. Even got a AAA discount! I felt as if family helped me with the whole process. Glad this issue was finally resolved after going to 3 places previously with no solution.

Honestly how am I supposed have updated tags to pass smog and even have the problem diagnosed to pass smog to have updated tags if you re aren t even going to look at the vehicle because the tags are not up to date?? Literally went to this shop to have my car diagnosed to see why I can t pass smog and to fix a coolant leak and I was to told no they can t look at my car because the tags or up to date?? How the hell am I supposed to fix a problem that requires a mechanic to see why I didn t pass smog honestly I m my opinion that s a horrible shop if they won t look at your vehicle if the tags are not up to date of course they aren t because there s a problem and I need to see what it is and see how much it will cost mechanic also told me and I quote you re lucky I m on clock so if you wanna be threatened too then this your kind of shop.

Just got my rear window mechanism fixed by EAT in a quick and efficient manner. The window went down but would not go back up because the regulator had failed. They diagnosed the problem quickly, got the part and installed it within a few hours. I go to EAT because I trust they will give me the straight story and not gouge for unnecessary parts/service. Outstanding service! Honest and reasonably priced too. They will tell you straight up what the problem is and how much. My service ended up costing less than the estimate too. That s how honest they are. Can t beat their service.

Escondido Auto Tech is FANTASTIC.Frank, George, and the whole team are truly outstanding - this is the only place I recommend to my family and friends. Trustworthy, reasonably priced, and they always provide clear communication regarding vehicle maintenance and repair.I have been a customer for five years and I now drive 30+min to Escondido Auto Tech because my experiences have been nothing but fantastic!

This auto repair shop has the most honest and knowledgeable team in the San Diego North County area. No sales pressure, no scare tactics, no treating you like you don't know anything, no cheating customers for repairs they don't need. Very fair labor rates and they use genuine parts. They know the business and they know cars and trucks. Our family has been going to them for more than 20 years. I first met Jim the owner as a teenager in the 80s when he was managing a tire business. He is an icon in this business and had a great team. You don't run businesses for 40 years within blocks of each other unless you are honest and well respected. Escondido Auto Tech is the best around. AAA rating!

I have been a client of E.A.T. for 25+ years. They have been excellent in everything. I've brought 3 cars to them and all have worked superbly because of the care, professionalism, and expert knowledge from all working at E.A.T from office staff to mechanics. And, when selling the first 2 I got high resale value because both cars were in excellent working shape. Lastly, all who work there are friendly, knowledgeable and want to serve/help their clients.

Great service teamEscondido Auto Tech has been my choice for automotive service for many years. Confidence in the people who service my car is most important to me. Jim, Frank and Jorge always work toward a good service experience, go out of their way to explain the work my car needs, and make every effort to ensure my visits are as stress free as possible. I have never had occasion to question their performance at any level and have recommended E.A.T. to many friends over the years.

I have been taking my cars here for years now and have always been vary satisfied with their work. The issues are always diagnosed right as well as the repairs completed correctly and in a timely manner. I have one car with over 180,000 miles and thanks to them it still drives like new.

Escondido Auto Tech has been servicing my truck for about 10 years. They provide the best service I have ever received anywhere and I have owned cars and trucks for over 50 years. The also have reasonable prices for their service and they are honest. This firm operates with old fashioned integrity and care for their customers. You can't go wrong at Escondido Auto Tech.

Their service has always been professional and Is outstanding in all areas over the past 15 years. They have made electrical diagnoses when I was out of town and on the road which helped me get back home. They have also made a job site ignition repair on my truck. They keep my wife s car in great shape, and she is happy. Now that is service above and beyond in today s world!

My family has been bringing our cars here for >15 years. As long as I live in Escondido, I ll never take my car anywhere else. They truly treat your car like it s theirs. If a repair isn t required, they ll tell you and they always charge fair prices with no hidden costs.

A trustworthy used-car mechanic is often hard to find. Escondido Auto Tech is the best shop I have found. Jorge Oviedo and his team are honest, competent and take very good care of their customers. Escondido Auto Tech provides excellent service, efficiently and at an affordable price.

Great guys. I stopped by with a vague issue and they scheduled an appointment right away for a diagnostic. Dropped it off and had the diagnostic finished within an hour and a half. Work was all finished in under 5 hours same day.Very friendly and answered all of my stupid questions. Also handled drop off and pick up via Uber. I will be coming back 100%

We took our 2001 Dodge Duelly in because the a/c quit working. They said we have a leak in our lines. We had them replaced. It worked one time and quit again. They said we need to replace the heater core, we did. Same story. We took it in again, they said wiring touching compressor, no good. So we had that replaced. Haven't checked it out yet, but after $5000$, I sure hope it works when we need it.

I trust Escondido Auto Tech completely! I've tried many places in the past but always felt like I was being taken advantage of. I always go to E.A.T. now because they explain what is going on with my car and fix it quickly. They even give me a ride home or pick me up when it's ready. Thank you guys, you are GREAT!!!!!

Went in for oil change & smog check. Frank noticed that my tires were in bad shape so got new tires. They worked on my car next day. Excellent job, friendly service. Will tell friends about them.

An amazing experience all around. After a very disappointing experience at another local shop I was not sure where to turn or who to trust. From the first conversation with Jim I felt very comfortable and confident. They never tried to upsell me and kept me informed at all times. Jim went above and beyond all my expectations. Fairly priced and very thourough. I would recommend them to anyone!

A month ago I took my 1999 Saturn in for its smog test, periodic lube, oil and filter service, plus a brake check. George, a service manager, called to alert me to a couple of minor items they found while doing their regular car servicing check - a rear brake light bulb was out and the windshield wipers were deteriorating. He asked me if I wanted them to take any action on these items. I had known about the wipers but not the brake light. There was no pressure from George, and I could have done the repairs if I chose to. This was just an example of the thorough, professional approach they use that has kept me bringing in my 2 cars the past 2 years since I discovered them.
