This is my go to place their quick efficient , being a girl I feel like they dont try to RIP you off one time they fix a wire for my battery for like 5 bucks only their good !!

Ended up coming here with a Jeep that had two bad catalytic converters on it. Believe I met with the owner and he was very straight up and honest about the prices and what he would recommend doing. I drove all the way from Atlanta Georgia. A 32hr trip. As soon as I got here my power steering went out. Next day I took it to Bens Auto Shop and they had me ready to go before noon. Thank you guys for saving my vacation.

One of the best shops in San Diego County. Highly recommend if you are looking for one of the last honest places to take your ride.They have highly skilled mechanics and great owners who know what is important. I have been taking multiple cars here for over 6 years and have always been impressed with their stand up service and very reasonable pricing.

Ben's Auto is the BEST. Ben and Andy run it. They're honest, experienced, reliable, very fairly priced and HONEST. All the mechanics do a great job. I've been going to them for 6 years, and I always meet people in there who've been coming there for 10 years or more, and some who bring their fleet cars there. Also, they respond quickly, and they're very professional and friendly. They're the best auto shop I've ever used. Bring your car to Ben's Auto. You won't be sorry.

Been going here for as long as I've lived in San Diego. My family has always been treated well and given fair pricing on our car service and maintenance. They're very straightforward about what your car has for options, don't be afraid to ask what they recommend.If you're looking for fast service, try to come earlier in the day. As soon as they're open ideally because certain weekdays are packed for them lately.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I have been going to these guys for years I can t say enough good stuff about them . Honest and trustworthy. I brought my car in for a gas pump replacement and the tall guy that worked on it saw that I had a side mirror in backseat and he put it on my car . I didn t even mention it to him but he went ahead and did it anyway. That s just one of the examples of how great this place is .Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Honest and cost efficient. Brought my cars here for years before moving to Sacramento. Recently was on a visit in San Diego and started having unexpected car issues. On short notice, I brought my vehicle in. They diagnosed, fixed and had me back on the road quickly. My drive from San Diego back home to Sacramento was smooth after new tires and wheel alignment. Andy, Ben and crew are amazing.

I've been coming to Ben and Andy since 1995. Wow 25 years!!! I've moved with them in all 3 locations they've been. Ben is like the Car Whisperer. He can diagnose pretty quick. I've never felt ripped off or like he was too aggressive with repairs. I'm not super thrilled with the location of their shop but I like and trust them so much that I'm willing to drive into that yucky lot.

Ben's Auto Repair is a good place to repair the cars of Vietnamese. In this place, you can speak Vietnamese anything about your car with the owner of Ben's Auto Repair. And after that, he will help you check and fix your car perfectly at an affordable price. On Monday, I drove my car to Ben's Auto Repair to change the brakes, the oil, the air filter, etc. Ben has done it very well. And now, I am very satisfied with my car.

Honest, reliable, and fair priced. I had my break job done here in Dec2019 and they did a really good job at it. I checked the work that was done on the car after the breaks was repaired and they did as I asked. The break was responsive after they flushed it. I had the break fluid flushed and all the breaks changed out but the panel on the driver side before the master cylinder was not put back, which was ok, I could fix it. Minus one star for that and the hood bar was not placed back to the holder, causing a lot of rattling when driving. Would definitely recommend coming here to get your car fixed.

One more great visit to Ben s auto repair, Andy and this great guy going by the Tiger it s just amazing work and professionalism. They go straight to the point!! Cost is competitive to other places tho big difference is at Ben s auto repair it s more personal.This is my third time coming from Las Vegas going to Mexico this is my pit stop for anything from a flat tire to engine problems. Great job Ben s team!!!

We were on vacation when we had an issue with our truck. We took it to Ben's shop and they were able to fix the issue and also informed us of some other little things that were wrong. Absolute shock and surprise to say the least. Long story short I was told by another shop in town that will remain unnamed *cough* west escondido *cough* that my alternator died, they quoted me close to $550. My roommate suggested I check out Bens, so, reluctantly I did. Turns out my alternator belt slipped off! Turns out that was all that was wrong, I ended up replacing it and my serpentine belt, since both were old and they were so honest, for around $120, they even topped off my oil and fluids at not extra charge! While I was waiting for repairs, this guy from Texas came in with issues he thought was his Jeeps suspension. Complaints of bad sounds and vibrations while he was driving. Turns out the people who did his last tire change didn't tighten the lug-nuts! These guys are honest, there is a reason why so many people bring their cars here. Just got a customer for life from me.-D.Rose

Been going to Ben's Auto Repair for 40+ years...from 9th Avenue to the Mobile station that used to be on the corner of Felicita and Center City Pkwy to the place on Mission. This is an absolutely great place to take your car or truck for anything.

Ben and Andy are honest, trustworthy mechanics. They did a great job repairing a used Prius I recently bought. Pay no heed to the one star review, that individual was looking for something for nothing.

I got a smog check here a month ago, and Ben also pointed out some other repairs that he could do cheaply that I was told would cost hundreds at the Toyota dealer. These guys have heart! I will be returning for sure.

My family and I have known Ben and his brother Andy professionally since 1997. He works on all my cars and my kids cars. When you really need something fixed, fixed right and not gouged. Bens auto is the only place to take your car. I live in Temecula now after living in Edcondido most of my life and I gladly drive an hour to use Bens auto. Using his repair services is always the right choice, always

A family run business (two brothers) who treated me like family. I needed a new transmission and had to have it completed by a certain time, but when it didn't look like the work was going to be completed in time (there was an extended holiday weekend where not only were they closed, but they couldn't get the part until Tues), one of the brothers offered to loan me their personal vehicle.They finished the transmission but notified me about repairs that needed to be made or else the engine would die. I wanted to hold off on the rest of the work but since I was offered a loaner vehicle, decided to go ahead with it. Well, the extra work was finished by the end of the same day, so no loaner car was needed.I could go on about how they made me feel like family, but let's just say, I trust these guys and if I hadn't relocated all the way to El Cajon, would probably continue to go to them - and still might.The car's engine ran fine before the additional work, but I could definitely tell a difference when the work on the engine (not the transmission) was completed.

This is my go to auto place now. They charge fairly and tell you how it is. They are quick and do great work (Oil changes, brake pads, intake manifold replaced). So if you have been on the fence about this place, I recommend you follow through.

I had my smog done 2 years ago done at Ben's. So i when there today 05/14/2014 to have smog don there again. At first this individual was mad at me because i hadn't had any repairs done with them and told me to get my mileage. Should have left then because they normally get that information, but it was hot and the fires are making breathing unacceptable.When i return, he said, "next time bring in the mileage. Should have left, but i didn't he told me there was 1 car before me. So i ask him if he could call me because i am going to buy some water. His replied, Classic " same number as 2 years i'll call if not oh well." I left and came back 10 minutes later, my car seems finish. I walk in and i was told i fail and i could take my car and fix it yourself. I ask what fail, he showed me the test result.I ask if they could see if they could fix it. His response "No, you fix it." I mention that this is test and repair. He reply "well you fix your car and come when it is fix. Now you pay $56.75

Water pump broke 300 miles from home on my 05 Pacifica ben fixed it in a day with OEM parts and I was back on the road. Top notch operation Ben and andy thanks again
