I have taken my car there a couple of times now and John has always a great guy and is very knowledgeable and able to get you quotes over the phone and a appointment. Get car done timely. Very happy customer and sure i will be going back as needed

John is the finest example of outstanding customer service. I learned from another mechanic that my 2014 Ford Focus needed a new transmission. It was strongly implied that I should get rid of the car and buy a new one. After my sticker shock at the dealerships, I decided to get a second opinion. I called a few places for quotes; it was no surprise the Ford dealership came back over $2K more. When I called AAMCO, John explained the importance of bringing it in so they can have a look for themselves. It was confirmed that I needed a new transmission. John tried to find a used one, all along explaining next steps and preparing me for what could happen. Due to inflated prices, a used transmission was too expensive. I was quoted the price of a Ford factory new transmission (w/warranty) and calculated my expenses for a transmission verses a new car. When I saw the savings over the next few years it was a no brainer. John was more than an auto mechanic manager; he offered sought-after advice and I felt he was looking out for my best interest. He was friendly, knowledgeable, informative, and trustworthy. He went above and beyond during the entire process. I could not be more pleased all thanks to him.

My brother and I both brought our cars in and they just ran a free diagnostic but didn't really drive the car or look deep enough into the problem I'm pretty sure my needs a transmission I guess they want the business

Excellent service again.Highly recommend if you find yourself unable to get in gear.They did our 1999 Ford F150 and now our Ford Fusion. Much better price than a brand new vehicle.

I've taken two different cars in over the past two days, and both times, the staff were helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. John explained all the issues with each car simply and gave me a recommendation for a reputable mechanic for the issues they couldn't fix. What they could fix, they did in an efficient manner, and John even showed me how to keep an eye on it myself in the future, which I found very helpful and kind. The prices seem very reasonable to me, as well.I will definitely be returning in the future, because I'm quite satisfied with what I've seen so far.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection

John was great!! Had a cyclinder die last week while in LA. My mechanic fixed it and it drove fine back down to escondido, but the very next time i went to drive... car died same problem. Couldn't tow it to LA so John took a look and the next day car was fixed. Price was excellent, he gave me a warranty and was very kind! This will be my new mechanic.Service: Engine repair

I never write reviews, but this shop and the people running the shop are truly worth writing about!From the minute you call for an appointment John takes care of you, answering any and all question you may have.The mechanic Slim is detailed in explaining what the vehicle needs right away and what it will need down the road! Seriously No Gouging!!This place is the Real Deal!Jason the owner is probably the most honest, hard working, and professional person I have ever meet in this type of business.I can't say enough great things about all of them, except I trust my daughter's vehicle to them as well, and her safety is highly Important to me!

Had a great experience with AAMCO and the staff. They were able to get the clutch replaced on my Eclipse in and repaired quickly, and found several other issues along the way. They called, discussed options, and gave me price updates on the spot. And their prices for the clutch replacement were around $600 less that other quotes. Will definitely go back if I need any more transmission work done.

John helped me out when my transmission went out. I was thinking this was gonna be a nightmare and he literally handle this whole like a dream! My van runs like I just drove it off the lot! I was given a fair time schedule which he beat by a day getting it back to me even sooner than expected! Save me a lot of $$$ with the rental as well as gave me an awesome price for the work! I waited 1,000 miles to write this reviewI needed one plate to retain the main shaft in a 5mt out of a 2006 impreza. Subaru........wanted $2500 just in labor cost. Crack the case and all of that. The job I needed done was in the transfer case which is mounted behind the transmission for subarus so there isn't a need for cracking the case.John Smith is the general manager at this location of AAMCO. The moment I walked in the door and explained my problem it was very apparent that Customer Service is his TOP priority. He heard all the information I researched and said the job could be done no problem, quickly, and quoted me at $252. I brought in my transmission and the next day he had it ready for me and the cost was lower still. $189 out the door. He even honors veterans discount.This was the smoothest and best I have ever felt dealing with a mechanic shop. I will recommend anyone I talk with that needs car repair.Thank you John Smith and Julio Auhmada. Julio was the one would did the work. I drove to Yuma just last weekend and drive 45 min to work each day. Not a single complaint.

John at AAMCO is awesome. After I was quoted an outrageous price for a simple installation of OEM parts for my Nissan 350Z, four times more as a matter of fact, John saved the day by installing them for me - saving me bucco-bucks! Slim did the work. He was super knowledgeable and efficient. I would not hesitate to return to AAMCO and let John and Slim service my car again. In fact, I look forward to it!!

Aamco had my SUV for transmission problems for about a month they had to keep on taking removing the trans out replacing parts and reinstalling the trans in multiple times until ordered and installed a rebuilt transmission. I lost an estimated ($5,000.00 plus) in that period of time! I'm not too happy, I know you can come up with hundreds of excuses that wont fix the situation! At his time a month later it's still working fine, In my opinion micro management does not work if you don't have the proper training. The manager has to know how to know all aspects in and outs the how to show employees how to do their jobs to the best of their abilities.Service: Transmission

4.45 (no snacks, free coffee)...Routine 30k mile transmission service on 2004 Saturn L300 Series 1 with 142,500mi. Having never experienced AAMCO before, because I've always done my own maintenance and repairs, my lift is broken so to a shop i must go. Two days before the visit, i called around several places and John at AAMCO listened, asked good questions, listened and was succinct and to the point and said come on in but encouraged an appointment. Arrived at appointed time and parked. First impressions: exterior is clean, organized, professional. Lobby and garage are simple, clean, efficient. Bathroom ditto. They got the job done faster, better and more economically than I anticipated. They showed me the pan and the car while lifted on the rack. The mechanic on my car was sincere, honest and humble. The other young mechanic was focused on his work. The self proclaimed retired salesman Wild Bill Mustang (owner?) helped to dispel the awkwardness that often exists at auto-service-shops. I was pleasantly and unexpectedly surprised by the entire experience.

Very satisfied with my experience. Walked in lobby is nice and clean. I was politely greeted by Noel and went over the symptoms of my vehicle. I dropped off my car and was constantly informed about the status of my car. All issues were solved quickly. I will definitely bring my other vehicles here.

Everyone at this shop was extremely helpful and nice. It was the 1st time i didn't feel like i was getting ripped off. I took my car in to get some break work done and a manifold replaced a few months ago. I haven't run into any problems since.
