A friend of mine referred me years ago. Since then I ve been taking my car here. Now my son took over the car and he still goes there because James is reliable and honest.

I've been coming here for 3 years and never had any issues or complaints. James and his team are amazing! I appreciate the way he's taken care of me and my wife's vehicles.

James and his staff are amazing at SRS Automotive! My family and I have been customers of this establishment before they moved to their current location. Back then, their location was a small area located on Rosemead Blvd. The thing I love about this place is that they're honest unlike other auto shops. He's upfront about everything that you need, not what you don't need and say that your car will die without it. Though it's a far drive to South El Monte from where I'm at, my family still are loyal customers of James.Tip: Come here right before they open on a weekend so you don't have to wait so long for your oil change or whatnot.

I've been going to James with my cars repairs for over 20 years (When I first met him, his hair was all black). He may not be the cheapest but he is the most honest, competent and reliable mechanic. I usually just leave him the car and he'll tell me the cost later. Your car is in good hands.

I have a lot of history with SRS all of it Great. Have been going since they were on Rosemead, love this place but not big enough. My most recent experience was the purchase of tires for my vehicle. James, as usual did not try to sell me the most expensive, just the best that I needed. I respect and trust James and his crew. Thank you James for being honest and hard working.Services: Transmission, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Brakes, Oil change

Best place for any car. There's no one else I'd trust other than this place. James is the best, and does not rip you off or replace your parts with parts that are bound to break soon. I've been coming here with my parents' cars and now that I'm older, I still come here. There's no place like this. The price is always reasonable too.

I highly recommend this mechanic shop James is honest person.He has save me a lot of money. If you don't believe it take your car to the dealer and take your car to James and see who saves you more money. Highly recommended

Great auto repair place, honest mechanics and good service.They do mostly imports, but can handle American cars as well. Nice computerized alignments done too.

Fixed my Tacoma check engine and my Honda Civic check engine and I get my smog check there to..good service just leave your car,reasonable prices depending on the gravity of your car. If you have a check engine problem I highly recommend S.R.S. Talk to James......

You can trust SRS. A good mechanic is like a good handyman or barber, once you find one, stick with him. Our BMW 325 and Accord Hybrid are serviced by SRS and work has been great. He is not cheap but honest and honestly priced. Shop is not fancy but not important to me. Work and business ethic are. We live in Pasadena. We drive all the way to El Monte because we trust SRS.

Bad Bad Bad our story is exactly like Nelson Tchir story below. We were referred by our church friends and we will never refer them to anyone. Our car is a 2008 low mileage Mazda. And from the start they were very rude and arrogant and told us our car would be there just a couple of days for small oil leak ended up being there almost a month windows down hood up and from the original price $250 to almost $2,000 what a nightmare. James and his wife are completely rude unprofessional and know-it-alls they think you're an idiot and that you don't know anything and they're the only ones that ever worked on cars before. They wouldn't answer our phone calls and would only text. Discussed is an understatement. Shame on them !!! I wouldn't recommend SRS Automotive to anyone ... After all this we texted and called several times and completely ignoring our texts and phone calls not feeling comfortable any longer with James or his wife and asked them both to leave our car alone and put all of our parts to the side and do not do anymore work on our car and we would be picking it up tomorrow as we arrived the next day our engine was completely scaddered throughout the floor, on top of a trash can and all over our engine compartment I have pictures to prove it and they ended up not doing the work they said and completely took our engine appart without our approval which would also cancel out our 100,000 mile Manufacturers Warranty they did it anyway even with our demand that they stop all work being performed by them an the fact that they wouldn't answer any of my or my girlfriend's call's or texts the day before and his wife had the nerve to be upset with me because I was beyond upset ... Then James put it back together and said it was fixed and they would warranty their work and found out later that they didn't do the work and even put our old original spark plugs back in when they charged us for new plugs plus the labor cost. Ended up charging us $1300 and we paid it reluctantly because we wanted to get our car the heck out of there shop and for a couple of things they actually did we had another mechanic take a look at our car he said they put the old spark plugs back in because the engine light was on and running ruff ... We took it back and James wouldn't even look at my girlfriend and James suggested that she takes it to the dealership she said you just charged us $1300 and you would warranty your work and James told her he would have to charge us another $250 to even look at it she left feeling very upset The other mechanic said not only is the spark plugs the old ones but also the gap wasn't even set right. Thank you SRS Automotive for being such a waste of our time you will never get 1 penny from us or our family and friends. We asked for our money back but they are just ridiculous to even deal with. I wonder how many others have been treated in this manner. Very Sad and it shows 1 star because if you don't put a least 1 it won't let you post your rating. They don't have a minus star's otherwise I'd give them a minus - 100 stars

Cheap, quick good smog check. Also now my auto repair place for my prius oil change, alarm fix, battery fix etc. The boyfriend has a camry and comes here for his maintenance. Yes, we drive 19 miles to come here. Beats the 4 places I got scammed by. Finally found an honest repair shop, and we're sticking to them.Recommend by auto friends. Street parking. Small cool lobby eighth tv, water and 8seats. Recommended via AutoWerks El Monte.

Took my car for smog check in the last week of January I was told it would be a day or two my car is 1995 so they said it would take longer so after one week no call nothing so I went there they said it needed new parts it would not pass the smog check so I gave them the ok to do what ever was needed they said ok it would be a few weeks I called after the two weeks they said they were having trouble locating the parts!!! So I let it ride for six months I went there to help you check out the situation I could not believe my eyes my car was parked way back in the lot Windows doors hood open!!!! It has gotten rained on it was filthy inside and out !!!! So I located the owner of the business and gave him a ear full of what I thought of him and his business!!! He said sorry and that he would have it cleaned deatailed and repaired within a few days!!!! Well four months later nothing so I had to go get out it!!!! As I was getting my car his wife was very apologetic and pointed to more cars on the lot and said I was not the only one that this had happened to!!! Why I asked she said go ask her husband I did but got no answer so I cannot be reccomed this place!!!!

Not the cheapest, but only reliable mechanic in El Monte hands down.. if you run into an issue that you know will cost you a lot of money at the dealer this is the place. Just keep in mind car might stay at shop over night. Don t rush shop and they will get the job done.

Good place to get your car repair, they are very honestly tell you the problem, which need replace or repair. Not like dealers, give you lot list need repairs and charge lot money. I am not going dealer any moew.

Drop your cars to SRS they will help you take care all your problems and they charge you reason price. It is 5 stars services to me

Rip off artist broke my fuel pump removing fuel filter try to charge me for a whole new unit go to 2435 n durfee El Monte My day has been going to him for years and I go to him he s never done me wrong and the whole time it was just a little switch it up flip under the glove box
