I took my car to have exhaust welded on. I was told in their opinion that my fuel pump was too close to my exhaust. I told them to install the exhaust and I would take care of any re-routing of the fuel system. Instead they zip tied my fuel pump to my leaf spring, they unbolted and left my fuel line dangling, and relocated a fuel filter. None of the hack job fixes were authorized and they didn t tell me. I had to find out on my own, when a fuel leak began.I will never take my cars back to them for any exhaust work

My old but low mile truck wouldn't pass smog because a sensor wouldn't reset, and I was told that the failure was because the catalytic converters were bad and needed to be replaced. (Estimate $4600)I decided to get a second opinion and possibly sell it out of CA.That second opinion took me here. We set up an appointment, Scott Sr. took the truck for a few hours, found the problem, fixed the problem, and gave me a call to come get it.Then I took it to the smog check folks, and...the sensor was good to go, and the truck passed.Originally, I was doubful that he could do much since the livermore guys, with a lot of electronics troubleshooting equipment, tested it for ~$200 and gave me the original estimate.That said,It's always nice to find an honest old-school mechanic with a touch.

Honest work. My 2007 Corolla didn't pass smog due to an exhaust leak. Scott fixed it but my car seemed to be leaking exhaust gas from elsewhere as well. Went back, it was fixed with absolutely no additional charge. I was willing to pay any additional charge for a new weld or so, as long as there wasn't any double dipping in labor. But even though I offered, they took responsibility to fix it free of charge.

Cat was stolen out of my Prius unfortunately. Made an appointment with Minute Mufflers, dropped my car off at 11:30am and got it back at 3pm! Same day service is nuts! They also welded rebar to my cat to help deter future thieves, these guys go the extra mile for their customers. Highly recommend this shop!Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

Scott did great work repairing the exhaust and muffler on my Corolla. I called, he said he was available, I came 30 min later, and he had my car fixed up, welded, and ready within an hour. Great service, no fluff, reasonable prices.

I took my 67 Chevelle in because it had an exhaust noise. I had an 11:30 appointment and when I got there they put right on the rack. Scott Jr diagnosed the problem and fixed it and I was on my way. They ve done work for me in the past and I ve always been satisfied. Also, the pricing has always been fair. I highly recommend them.

Took my son's car here to get the exhaust modified. These guys did a great job at a reasonable price. The work was completed in the time they estimated and it looks and sounds great. Scott was awesome! He spent all day with me to remedy a Catalytic converter problem. He saved me $2,000. I had bought recently a direct fit, and a universal Cat. The unit cat was giving me error codes, I couldn't figure out why. Harrys Auto had replaced my Engine & direct fit Magnaflow passenger Cat. Left Cat also found to be bad, so I bought a Attco uni cat, and had my friends muffler shop weld it in. Again check eng light came on after 25 miles. Took it to Harrys they said no leaks, nothing wrong, yet check engine light on, so it won't pass smog. Scott was thorough ! He could've just installed the $2,000 New direct fit Cat I had in the trunk. He did extensive drivers cycle tests with his OBI scanner . Reset chk eng light to off. It stayed off for 75 miles, then during the under stress load test it came back on. Then a smoke test where he found 2 leaks. 1) on top of the UNI Cat weld, so he re-welded it, 2) on the flange of the Harrys Auto installed new Cat to old muffler AFTER the o2sensors ( remember Harrys charged me and said they found NO leaks, and didn't fix the problem) very minor, common, with new surface to old surface mating). Re-tested driving cycle, cool down, driving cycle, and the car was smogged next day, PASSED! Check engine light has remained off ever since. That was 2+ months ago. Highly recommend Scott's minute muffler.

I went to this place with high hopes after a recommendation from another mechanic in Dublin but was disappointed with the lack of integrity and unprofessional attitude. After the catalytic converter on my 2001 Honda CR-V was replaced, I was told that the ODB-2 sensor has been reset. After driving it for a few days, the check engine light would not come up and the car would pass the smog test.Since my wife drove the car home, I noticed that the check engine light was flashing, the exhaust was smelly and it felt like something was burning. Essentially, the engine was misfiring. When I called the next morning about it, I was told that the catalytic converter was replaced as promised and I needed to take my car to my regular mechanic to determine the root cause behind the flashing check engine light.Bottomline, they lied to me about the condition in which my car was returned to me. And, they did not take ownership for diagnosing the issue and recommending next steps for fixing it. They seem like a pay for service shop but not a reliable place where you can get your car problems resolved.I was quoted a very good price for replacing the catalytic converter on my 2001 Honda CR-V last week. The job was done within a day. Leaving this review so that other potential customers know what to expect. If someone wants to buy a 2001 Honda CR-V with a flashing check engine light, please email me. I still have it but will get rid of it within a week.Service: Exhaust

I just had one of the best Service experiences I have ever had and I'm 78 years old. I bought a Solara and knew the exhaust wasn't right but not sure if it cold be fixed or not. Well they put it on the lift and manufactured some parts and adapters and now the car is back to the stock condition I wanted.I couldn't recommend this place high enough. Scott and his team here are amazing. My jeep was having a really weird issue and a friend had told me how good this place was. They were able to diagnose the issue and inspect my entire exhaust system. I did a little of the work myself because I'm trying to learn how, but I would have been completely stuck without them! A 3rd generation family business! Made appt to have a chunk of metal I ran over on the freeway that got lodged under the car removed. I showed up & they were ready to work. No upsells on clamps, gaskets etc. Extremely friendly & very fair price. Very satisfied & would go to them with any exhaust system issue. Thank you for being one of the few truly fair businesses around!

Came in same day and they fixed my catalytic converter! I was told by several shops that they do not work on my car or that I d need to replace it but Scott saved me tons of money. Very affordable, quick and easy. Thanks so much again!!

This shop does absolute top notch work I had A set of headers modified that Are now thanks to this father and son team fitted better than I could have expected!! Their pricing is always the fairest around And their work the most professional and Best service you could possibly ask for!!!! They do not offer enough stars for the quality of work you will get at the shop they have my business for life! Thank you minute muffler!!!

Words can not explain how honest, kind, professional and amazing these guys are here at the Minute Muffler. It was the first time I ever took my car here for an issue it had with its exhaust, and within the first minute I greeted them, I knew I was at the perfectly right place. Called to see if they had any openings in the future to take a look at a potential leak. They told me to come by as soon as I could. As soon as I got there, they found the problem, and fixed it on the spot. In and out in a half hour! Amazing, quick, professional work. To top it all off, great prices! Well, a few months ago I got the Minute Muffler Services rebar catalytic converter cage (not really a cage but a bar welded next to the pipe presumably to deter theft) that doesn t work. My catalytic converter was just stolen. $100 job got me nothing but the thing getting stolen anyway. Word to the wise: Don t git er done here. Get a real cage. They got our cash, but they lost getting any more of our business and any of our friends business too. Fooled me once, no more.

Fast & for the best price in town. Had my exhaust leak fixed in an hour and paid less than $100. They guy s super nice, too, and had a lot of ideas for my truck build. Definitely recommend.

Awesome experience today at the Minute Muffler, Scott Jr. was great from the start . I came in for an inspection of bad noise possibly from my car s exhaust system, despite of a new catalytic converter put in recently at another shop. Scott quickly identified the leaks and fixed them promptly so that I can go for a long weekend family vacation. And surprisingly the price is very reasonably low. Scott honesty earned Minute Muffler a new loyal customer ! Thanks Scott!

During the red flag warning, 10/12/21, a large piece of wallboard with metal on it blew over Hwy 80. I had to drive over it as I was boxed in on both sides. The metal put a large hole in my muffler and loosened the bands on the catalytic converter. Minute Muffler let us drop in, repaired the hole, and tightened the catalytic converter for a very reasonable price. Good work at a great price. I had flowmaster super 44s installed on my 17 Mustang GT. They sound great, nice low growl rather than being loud and almost no cabin drone. I told Scott what I was looking for and he made the best recommendation. Work done while I waited, took about an hour. Go to Minute Muffler for your exhaust needs! Thanks Scott.

This is the second time I have used Minute Muffler. In each case I received great customer service and prompt completion of the work. Scott Jr. diagnosed the problem immediately and made recommendations accordingly. The prices are very fair and they stand behind their work. Never seen anyone work so fast. Scott is the only person I'd let work on my Integra. It's always better to call ahead of time since he's so busy. I wasn't waiting long at all the times I just dropped in. He is very good at what he does. You'll get the best deal whether you've got a car, truck..anything actually!

I took my Subaru BRZ in because the muffler was making a rattling sound around 2k RPM. I noticed that the muffler had begun separating on one side and Scott Jr helped me patch it up. Unfortunately that didn't fix the rattling and I scheduled an appointment for the following week to replace the muffler.Fast forward a week, Scott Sr is working on my car. He found that the perforated core had come loose so he welded it back up and reinstalled the muffler. While he was working on the exhaust, he also reinforced the second muffler. All of this work was completed within a half hour and for an extremely fair price.Minute Muffler will definitely get my business again and I recommend them for all your exhaust needs.

Scott is the "go to" guy for all our exhaust needs. Fast efficient and the fairest prices in the Valley. We have had systems built, mufflers and cats replaced on various occasions and all done in a timely manner.
